Description
At a first glance the dwarven lass before seems like she'd
be quite lovely were you yourself a dwarf. Her beard is
neatly combed and rests on her full and buxom chest. It is
combed neatly and shines a deep shade of red when the light
hits it just so. Her eyebrows are the same shade of red and
quite bushy, often furrowed in either concentration or anger.
Her nose is large and her nostrils often flare largely in
combat when her barrel shaped torso fills with airs like the
bellows of a forge. Her arms and legs are both thick and
muscular, which makes since as she's loaded up like a pack
mule. Hilts of weapons poke neatly out of various sacks and
you glimpse what surprisingly seems to be an anvil in one
as well. She carries herself with confidence and a certain
lack of grace, though seemingly she'd be able to hold her
on in close combat.

Kherrourra Coldforge was not always a bitter and angry dwarven lass. She was
raised right by her clan, valued family, and was shaping up to the ideal dwarven
wife. That is to say, she would start her own family and lead it with dedication
and devotion to her husband and children. She was trained in the ways of the
forge, of brewing ale, of cooking, and all other domestic tasks a dwarven lass
would need to run home and hearth.
As it would turn out at around the young age of forty years old she would fall
deeply in love. The dwarf's name was Brommus and he was everything she desired
in a long term companion. There was one hiccup. Her clan was feuding with the
clan Brommus was a part of and they had other prospects for her. She was not
excited about other prospects.
Her father decided to hold a competition of sorts for her heart. He wanted to
prove to her there were much better options than her self proclaimed soul mate.
It was determined all interested suitors could participate in a contest of
forgecraft. Three weapons, hammer, axe, sword. The greatest of these weapons
crafted would take Kherrourra's hand.
Brommus was vain and prideful in addition to being madly in love. He couldn't
stand the thought of someone else claiming his future bride. He did something
terrible. He cheated. Well, he tried to cheat. The night before the competition
would begin he rode all the way to Voralian City looking for a hedgewitch or any
sorceror with a particular set of skills. He wanted his forge to burn hotter and
start faster thant he competition. So it was he found a skilled witch, took her
to his forge, and watched her cast the appropriate spells. He went back to his
home and smugly waited for the day to begin.
Little did he know the witch would betray him. Instead of blessing his forge
with magic, she cursed it to not hold flame. The morning of the competition came
and he told his future bride of his exploits, assuring her their fates were
sealed. She was aghast at his decision, having been raised honest and right
herself. When the competition began Brommus was the laughing stock of the year.
He couldn't even get his flame stoked. He couldn't get the forge fires burning.
He realized the betrayal very quickly and tried in vain to get the forge lit for
hours while his competition finished weapon after weapon.
When the smoke settled and the day was over, several masterful weapons had been
forged. The prize of the competition, however, was nowhere to be seen.

Disgust. Embarrassment. Betrayal. So many emotions traveled through Kherrourra's
heart as she rode away. Her life and future had been stolen from her by a
weak-willed and unsure suitor. Her clan would assume she had betrayed their
trust and run off with the impotent failure. This couldn't be further from the
truth. Her pride was destroyed, she was filled with shame. She would not return
home and adopted the name 'Coldforge' to represent the future prospects of her
heart. Anger and resentment toward magic and family filled her as she seeks to
make a new life, falling back upon her skills in brawling and travel. She seeks
to protect others from the cruel fate that weakness and magic left upon her
future.
