Description
Short, hairy and near three foot wide, this dwarf stands before you with a
serious expression on his face. Orangey, red hair explodes from underneath
his helmet and melds into a long, well trimmed and braided beard. A muscular
body with sturdy branches for arms, bristling with muscles, and a barrel
shaped, wide and stout torso. His brown eyes are constantly watching his
surroudings, like trying to pierce the shadows nearby, watchful to every
sign of movement. He dresses himself in a heavy, well cared plate armor
with a long polearm attached on his back, as a small banner of a rose of
the winds swings on the wind.

Khoulmurum Mountainheart.

My name is Khoulmurum Mountainheart, and i am very proud of being a Dwarf.
It is among folk lore, that My Kind was not born, we were forged to life.
Our flesh was carved out from the brute stone, and we carry it's resillience
to support every condition we meet, even time itself without loosing our
toughness. Our bones were mede from iron, and like our will, it can be bended
but not broken, and finally, we were tempered at the purest water of Asgaard,
unique condition among the other races, that places us with an unblemished
moral and cristallyne virtues. This explain much of us, we are hard working,
loyal, proud, trustworthy and we defend family and friends with more ferocity
than ourselves. Also, our word has the weight of a oath made into a forge
between and anvil and a hammer.
I am descended from a clan, which the patriarch, ten generations ago, was a
dwarf known for his courage, honor and strength. While he was alive, the
mountain he lived on was never taken by invaders, despite of all attacks
suffered during his life. He was a great strategist and leader who inspired
his entire clan. At his side, everyone fought bravely and in a very organized
way, always repelling the attacks and threats to the clan and it's mastery
over the mountain. At the time of The Final Quenching, in his tomb it was
said that he was the heart of the mountain, and so his descendants came to
be known as Mountainheart.
For me, it is clear now, I came to this world, to be put to test. I will push
my limits to face challenges others would not dare to think of. This actions
I hope, will inspire others to understand they all can do more, they can
become better with time. Forged, tested, polished into something better,
stronger and more beautifull than before. The beaulty i speak of, are the
virtues emerging after so many tests. Virtues so strong that they are able to
shine and bring light to the ones who crosses our paths. It is not clear yet
how i will achieve such, but i will find a way.
For now, I am sure Faith will play a huge role on my destiny. Believe is
the first step of achievement. I will fight my way with Strenght and Faith,
and the best way to do such, is to follow the teachings of the Paladin's
guild. My training has already started and soon i will seek the Holy place
of Lord Korsgaard. The wars that happens everyday in Thera, do not touch me
to take a side, only to protect the innocent. But the ancient evil that
taint the Land, it is my true and final goal to meet them. I hope my
actions will inspire others, and one day, i see myself beside a fireplace,
telling stories of how Courage and Honor can and will help others to
overcome their fears and challenges.
Learning from Failure.

There is a Lord in the Lands, who is the embodiement of Courage, Strength
and Honor, His name is Korsgaard, the Lord of Pathfinders. It is said, this
Lord pushes his followers to the greatest challenges one could hope to achieve,
forcing their bodies and spirits to the limit, to accomplish what other do not
even dream to. Learning to the enlightened, comes from both success and
failure. I have met both.
In my search for the itens to present, in my first meeting with my Lord, I
stumbled at a stubborn blacksmith in Balator. After many attempts to get his
forge hammer, temperaments became hot, words were loose in the wind and I
ended up bashed and hammered i a shamefully way for a dwarf, defeated and
humiliated, i retired to recompose myself. I rushed into something too big
for my habilities, and failed mirerably. Many in the lands, after meet an
obstacle that seems insurmountable, pray to new gods, believe that they have
to reeivent their way to fight or live. Not us dwarves, we return to our
origins, and seek on our esssence what is being missed. I sat before the
fires of a forge.
The heat of the crackling fire, soon brought me a soothing warmth at my bones.
The rhythmic pounding of a hammer working on an anvil, cleared my toughts, and
and my focus sharpened only at my defeat, all started make sense now. And out
lout the master at the forge spoke at his apprentice: "Listen pal, the secret
of a very strong steel, is to properlly temper it. For such, the blade must
be red, but not too hot. Neither the water can be too cold, or the result
will be a crackled steel, very hard but will brake on the first impact. And
to finish, let the blade rest to recieve heat a couple of steps from the fire.
Let it rest there, warming slowly until its enough to burn an unprotected
hand, but far from be heated enough to be shaped by pound." I knew the result
would be a perfect blade, and also understood i had been forged on my failure.
I came out of this stronger, shaped better than before. Not again I will let
impulses and provocations alter my mood. I have tempered my actions, calmed
my emotions, and learned to sharpen my focus. Thus, i learned from my failure
and believe came out better and stronger.
Learning from Success.

On the other side, i had a glourious day. I had the unique oportunity to, in
one single meeting, meet Lord Korsgaard, his First Pathfinder, the dwarven
Knaor, his most deadly paladin according to his own words, the elf Erhiadkeb
and anoterh pupil like myself. I have learned a lot, many faces of courage,
strength and honor were presented before the Altar of the Pathfinders. Lord
Korsgaard, in a thunderous voice adding comments and teachings to every item
presented or discussed. Impressed me, the courage of Knaor, always ready to
open chested face any foe that dared to stand in Thera. One of his citations
was remakable, he said: "Tiamat shivered in front of my mustache". I will
carry that pearl to my grave.
Of this meeting, the most important thing i carry on, is the Blessings of
Lord Korsgaard. He accepted the itens i have choosen, a blacksmith forge
hammer representing Strength, a whitesteel shortsword representing courage
and a bronze crown representing honor. I know feel his presence, all the
time with me. His words echoing deep in my soul, pushing me to be a better
dwarf every day, testing and forging my virtues. His last request, was for
me to train hard, and prepare for his second quest, hunting the scaly kin.
Thinking on where i want to be at the future, i have pledged myself, to the
guardian of the Inn of the Eternal Star. I hope to gain their trust and
find a place among the Heralds.
My days of youth are gone.

My days of youth are gone. I am no longer the young, naivy dwarf who left his
mountain, in hopes to be put to test. After my meeting with Lord Korsgaard, my
tests have already started. I feel my body have grown stronger, wisdom guides
my actions more often than before and i have reached the pinnacle of my guild.
I will carry great memories from my youth, a few are worth to mention...
I have met Jolinar, from Voralian City, early in my life. What impressed me is
that he is concerned not only with the well being of Voralian's population,
but also, with the problems that plague others around the world. He is always
seeking explorers and adventures and send them to atempt to aid those in need.
He is an example to be followed, I have helped him in the past, landing a hand
to the monks at the Loch Grynmear, and later in life, fighting an undead
infestation in the Mausoleun near Galadon. And now that i can, I will support
his cause with money and recruits, always i can.
This leads me to a great story. While I was surrounded by ghouls, zombies and
other undeads at the mausouleum, Lord Korsgaard himself appeared in a blaze
of light just before me. I had the unique opportunity to fight by my Lord's
side. That is a honor, I will carry to my grave. He told me that for long he
was waiting to grant the blessings of Charity to a follower, and I have been
choosen for it. He said, that if i did what i was set to do, I would be his
first knight at the Inn of the Eternal Star.
I ended up accepted in the Inn, after a meeting with Lady Daphedee. I have
heard great stories of Her, specially from a paladin, that before me was a
member of the Inn and the troubles the two, runned into. She told me to take
what happened to him as an example. The Inn is a peacefull place, keep lore,
share stories and give the opportunity to artist of all there show their
tallents. So, my greatest challenge, would not to run into the war against
the wicked, defending the Fort, assaulting the Temple of Scarab or the walls
of the Empire. As a storyteller, i have much to learn, and practice.
Last, but not least important, I have finished my second quest to my way to
become a pathfinder. I learned important lessons about dragons, and what is
to be a true hero. To do what has to be done, because it is the right thing
to do, not for the fame or gold it may bring. Stay humble and willing to
the tasks others cannot do by themselves.
I was set by Lord Korsgaard, to reach the pinnacle of my guild, and seek him
again, to discuss the next step, in the way to a Pathfinder. It is time.
