Description

This grim faced young man is obviously of mixed heritage. His shoulder length white hair and violet eyes are reminiscent of the drow. Despite these obvious signs of drow ancestry, his features in general are not striking enough to be full-blooded. His rounded nose lacks the edge of the drow, and instead of having pointed ears, they are high and rounded. His cheeks are flat, serious and his prominent cheekbones give his eyes a superior tilt. The Unwanted Child

The story of Kjaz begins just north of Velkyn Oloth. It was spring, the
day of deception, the 10th in the month of the Old Forces when he was found
by an elven scouting party from the kingdom of Eryn Galen. As Kjaz was a
pudgy infant with visible elven features, Rynsin, the leader of the
expedition was wont to leave him to the mercies of the forest and the evil
from the black fortress to the south.

The wood-elves of Eryn Galen initially took well to the introduction of the
mystery child of the wood. In his first days the child was a popular topic of
conversation and gossip among the citizens. The King, Thranduil, himself
visited the child and said, Blessed this child is to have found sanctuary
here with the kind elves of our fair city. The Gods will surely favor us for
saving this poor soul and we shall raise him as one of our own.

Thus things began. Most thought and secretly hoped that he was a product of a
union between two of their own, or perhaps that he was born from the loins of
a high elven maiden. They called him, the Baby.

Unfortunately for the child, it was not long until his true heritage become
apparent. His eyes, which had begun baby blue, turned violet. His downy hair
became white. His nose remained pudgy, and his elven ears were short. Instead
of a noble elven child, the people of Eryn Galen found that they had a
perversion of a monster. A part-human drow.

Despite this ugly revelation, it was resolved that he would not be cast
aside. He was young and innocent boy. But suspicion began to follow the now
toddling youth. He was finally given the name, Kjaz - the unwanted.

Childhood

Today has been nothing short of dreadful. Naelys spilled her juice all over
my waybread and consequently my lap this morning. The malicious simple minded
fool.

We had morning calligraphy and afternoon archery lessons today. Iasm was of
course most critical of my letters. This routine is growing tiresome, I know
my writing is more beautiful than any of my classmates. My letters more
refined are more refined and elegant for all the criticism they impart on me.

The adults have always watched me more closely than the others. They look
down their pointy noses at me as if I were slime beneath their boots. I've
thought for a long time that I was inferior or weaker somehow less worthy to
be here than the others.

I was wrong. They look at me with contempt because they fear me, what I am
or maybe what they think I will become. Salins has been giving me
increasingly jealous looks whenever I beat him at our archery lessons. I'm
not weak, I am anything but.

Childhood part 2, A new life

13 years after they found me.

A violent beast has lurked within me for some time. The stares I've become so
accustomed to turned into jealous taunts. Salins finally pushed me beyond
restraint today. We were making candles and he intentionally spilled his wax
all over my lap. To make matters worse he told Isam that it was my fault,
that I was too stupid to make candles properly.

I couldnt take it. Breaking his nose was very satisfying, though now I have
no place to call home. It seems that the King and his council have been
looking for an excuse to send me on my way for some time now. I am now a
violent threat to the city and must be sent away.

I was thrown out of the gates at sunset with nothing but the clothes on my
back, a canteen, and a loaf of bread. I am sick of this forest anyway. I am
sick of the elves, and I am sick of being called Unwanted. I will
journey west through the GolGalath pass, I do not know what lays beyond the
mountains, but it has to be better than what I am leaving behind. As a final
act of severance I have decided to take a new name. From now on I will be
called ''Sondallyn - the Strong One".

Capture

I almost got caught tonight. I spotted a wagon train on the North Road today
heading North from the city of Galadon. I waited until after nightfall,
until even the sell-sword wagon guard had fallen asleep. Earlier in the day I
had spotted a richly dressed man he wore silk garments, climb up into the
lead wagon. Certainly there would be other riches to be had there, likely
enough to feed me for a few months. I resolved to sneak into the tent, murder
the fat fool, and leave with what I could carry.

At the time it seemed like a good plan, and at first it went off without a
hitch. The inside of the guard at the front of the wagon was asleep, the
inside of the wagon was dark, but when I entered the old man had been
watching he hadnt been surprised, somehow he had been expecting me. He
shouted for the guards and I was quickly apprehended.

The very next day, the wagons set off on their Jounrney to Udgaard. Within
hours of reaching the city I was sold at the slave market. My new owner
was named Zelkryn. According to the other slaves in his manor he
was the guildmaster of Udgaards shaman's guild.

Slavery

Over ensuing months I decided that even in slavery I would distinguish myself as stronger
than the other. I acted instantly to any command given, putting effort into all of my tasks
chores trying to curry favor with my master.  I was ruthless in dealing with the other slaves,
taking advantage of them at any oppurtunity. I bullied and threatened them, stealing their
meals and often their clothes. Never hesitating to report one of their mistakes to my master.

A deal

Added Thu Feb 3 02:25:08 2011 at level 9:
Exactly one year after I entered slavery. My master Zelkryn called me into his personal 
chambers. Explaining that he had been keeping an eye on me lately. He was thrilled with my 
sense of personal strength, refusing to be bowed even in slavery. Stories of my greed and
bullying of the other slaves amused him greatly. He saw something in me, a strong will and 
unquechable thrist for whatever I deemed I wanted or needed. 

He made me an offer that day. He spoke of a majestic temple to the North of the City. He 
would not say to which God the temple was built but gave me a task. Should I survive he 
would share his faith and train me within his guild.

It sounded so simple. Within this grand temple I would find an endless, within the pit would
be untold fortunes. Lay my hand on them and survive and he would free me and teach me.

It seared my and bubbled the flesh of my fingertips but I survived touching the treasure. 
Returning to his manor home, I showed him my burnt hand. Flashing a wicked grin he said 
"Welcome to the Faith Kjaz, let us begin. I have much to teach you."

The Move

The master Zelkryn, began to fear the power Kjaz now wielded. Not only that
he feared for his life and position.  Kjaz was now a warrior of Enlilth and a member 
of the Divine Sect. Zelkryn needed to rid of him from Udgaard to end the constant
anxiety he suffered. After much debate he took out a sizeable loan from the bank.
Zelkryn told Kjaz that as a citizen it was only proper to call your home near the 
Imperial Lands. Kjaz began to disagree at first, citing the cost of such endeavors. 
Yet when Zelkryn gave him a pouch with the nessecary amount of gold he grinned
widely.

Kjaz packed what meager belongings he owned and set off from the guild. Standing
in the entrance of the shaman's hall  he looked over his should and said " Plot against
me again Zelkryn and I will not let it go next time." With a deep bellowing laughter
Kjaz walked out of the door torwards his new home of Balator.

A lack of Order

In Kjaz's mind the Empire has grown soft and he
has never been one to tolerate such frailties. Fools 
have been allowed to advance into the upper echelons 
and the Empire has suffered. Bloodoaths and drones 
question their superiors or show continued disrespect 
simply because they've gotten use to it being permitted. 
This simply cannot be allowed to stand for it has been
the downfall of Empire's past.

The hierarchy must be respected and in order for
that to happen there must be fear of repercussions.
Fools must be demoted so that the worthy may rise.
If these fools continue to fail or are unable to
mind themselves they must be cast from the fold and
hunted for wasting the Emperor's time. A perfect society
driven by darkness and order cannot exist unless it's citizen
truly accept darkness and order into their hearts.

Rise to the Council

Consumed with greed for power, Kjaz has become a bit crazed. A true Zealot of Enlilth.
He has started a campaign of lies to better position himself for his eventual rise to the 
throne. He imagines himself a just but fierce Emperor. He will tolerate no weakness 
amongst the Sects, but will reward those who he fears plot against him.  Better to keep
your enemies close. He has seen a certain lack of desire for war and true conquest. 
He see's this reluctance as a character flaw, the person no better than the children
in the Arkham Asylum. 

Kjaz see's the Shadow Lord Sivyh as his only threat in his rise to the Throne. The
cat exudes a certain matter of confidence and mystery. Kjaz looks on the other 
two with questions about their loyalty and motives. In them he see's two 
individuals with the world laid before them theirs for taking. Yet, this power
doesn't drive them to seek even greater wealth and power.

New Policies

Once Kjaz sits on the council he will instill new policies for the Divine. 
First and foremost, no member of the Divine will travel or associste with Orcs
in any manner.  These beast cannot grasp the concept of darkness and order and
it is their very nature to destroy what we build. Secondly all Healers of the Divine
outside of raid situations and those where they impress the guild. They will charge
for those who wish the Dark Gods they serve to heal their wounds. For too long the 
Divine, those who speak the wish of the Immortals of Empire have ranked lowest
amongst the sects in the gold they put into the coffers. Charging for these prayers will
begin to lower the gap. The third and final policy will be that all members of the Divine
if they are able, will have centurions posts at Balator and the entrance to the Lands at 
all times. Of late Kjaz was wintessed countless times as our enemies walk into our
territory unapposed to retrieve what belongs to us.

The Hatred, Athioles and Rhone

Kjaz has developed a deep seeded hatred. The kind that consumes a man. The former
Marshall and his lackey Rhone. Their constant harassment and attempts to opress Kjaz
bring back dark memories of his childhood in Eryn Galen. How they look down at him,
thinking themselves superior. In the little time Kjaz manages sleep his dreams are
filled with images of them. There is one dream in particular that he will see become
a reality before his time in these lands end. In this dream Kjaz channels the full fury 
of Enlilth and ends their lives in a brutal fashion. He proceeds to mutilates their
corpses, removing head from shoulders. Once this is complete he marches 
triumphanly into the Imperial Lands where he places each of the heads on seperate
pikes in front of the palace.

A seat on the council

Kjaz has finally rose to the council. A goal he had sought for countless years.
The bastard Sivyh made him grovel to raise through the ranks. Kjaz now holds a grudge against the felar.
Once again Kjaz sets his eyes to the Throne, but his plan must wait sometime. With the new Emperor appointed
now is the time to rebuild and strengthen our army. For too many years the strengthen of the Empire waned.

Kjaz intends to use his influence to secure the rise of a new War Master and Dread Lord who will prove loyal to his 
desire for more power. Once they are named he will continue to build their trust and desire to see him sit on the Throne. 
Once he feels confident that the armies of the Empire are strong enough he will enact his coup.

Norington, The Worthless One

To Kjaz, Norington is the absolute opposite of what one who sits on the council should be. He is weak, worthless, and commands zero
respect from within the Empire and even less from our enemies. Kjaz intends to see him named anathema in the near future. He will betray the thief
at chance he given. He will not openly strike out but will use our enemies as the tools of his plan. So far Flaayian has played the role
of executioner well.
