Description

From a distance, this giant looks like any other normal Cloud, but upon closer examination you are able to see that his skin is a noticeable light blue color, almost like ice. Upon even closer examination, the giant has similar marks on them as those of his kind. Kohrzeck stands quite tall for a giant. He has hulking, muscular arms and legs. His torso has a large girth and his head is also quite large. He has deep brown eyes that seem to twinkle an amber color as the light of the sky hits them. Though he has a wide assortment of weapons with him, something about the way he carries himself lends to the fact that he is not a warrior. He has a distinct earthy smell to him. The aroma might best be described as the smell created from a mountain creek trickling water on soft soil. Shoulders hunched, he walks nearer to you. As he nears, it becomes even more apparent that he is no warrior. Strapped to a rope that loops around a green tunic to hold it up is a small book. The book seems to hum with magical properties. He may even be a priest, some might say. There is an aura about him that would indicate something else, however... Taking a second glance at him as he passes by you, you notice something on the back of his neck. It appears to be a ying and yang symbol. The symbol is perfectly done, both black and white portions evening proportionatly. However, you also notice a large, scabbed gash running across it.

Role

Kohrzeck's Life Up to Now

Added Thu Aug 13 19:05:38 2009 at level 40:
Kohrzeck has come a long way from his frigid home in the Cold North.
He has had the Frostborne vision and received his Frostborne symbol,
the bleeding ying yang. It is a symbol of a Frostborne clansman
who has matured and found his true sense of self.

The Frostbone have always sought a balance for the world, but for
their own mystic reasons. They believe that since magic comes
from the Gods, the Gods remain eternal through Faith, and to be
eternal is to bleed the life force from the struggle for balance,
then so must mortals seek to ensure that there is always a balance
to struggle for.

Kohrzeck's war for the eternal struggle would be exhalted back in
his home. If he were to go back to the mountains from where he
came, he would live the rest of his days as a king. But he does not
wish this. Instead, he seeks to continue to live what preaches to
those that affect the world's balance.

The Buun, as a holy symbol to the Frostborne, has served Kohrzeck as
a reminder that he must be a mountain in a sea of tidal waves. Though
some times he may erode from the impact and wear, he must also remain
steadfast and keep back the waves. Iunna has been more important to
Kohrzeck than she might know, but in the end, Kohrzeck takes from her
the passion to remain true to himself and his beliefs, the ever lasting
thirst for the struggle of war, and the love he has of finding other's
passions and helping them attain them.

Kohrzeck's empathy and understanding are paramount to his beliefs.
Though he must sometimes strike those he aids down, he loves them.
Even as they seek their revenge.

The Buun, Balance and Conflict: Scene 2, From Within

Added Wed Aug 5 17:35:00 2009 at level 35:
A long snowy road stretches ahead as you find yourself being able to
see what Kohrzeck sees. The vision is a bit hazey, the only true
clarity being the long and endless road ahead. Kohrzeck begins to
slowly walk, encountering various scenes.

The second scene becomes clearer as you and Kohrzeck walk nearer to it
down the trail. As you walk with Kohrzeck, you notice that he doesn't
notice you and that these events are taking place in his mind. He walks
slowly near what appears to be an easel. Suddenly, a blank canvas
appears on it as if from nowhere. Kohrzeck eyes stare blankly at it.
It's almost as if he is sleep walking, his gaze seemingly very distant.

Kohrzeck takes a dry brush and begins painting. Even though the brush
is void of any color, it still somehow paints.
Korzeck continues to paint, his gaze still lost in the distance.

Hours pass, but finally, he steps back to reveal his work:
...A massive ying and yang symbol take up almost the entire canvas. The
work is rather masterful - The circle is perfect and the black and white
portions of the symbol are perfectly balanced, taking up equal portions.
But there is one glaring difference to this Ying and Yang symbol. It has
a deep crimson gash running diagonally through the symbol. The gash seems
almost like an actual wound. Suddenly, you realize that it is an actual
wound. The paint, or blood, runs down the canvas, onto the easel's grooves
that hold the brushes, and then trickles onto Kohrzeck's feet.

The scene vanishes and you find yourself a few feet ahead of the painted
canvas walking alongside Kohrzeck once more. He somehow seem more
enlightened and calm.

The long white trail stretches onward, but a dense fog seems to have
settled upon it. All that you can see is a light flashing every few
moments, akin to a lighthouse light.

You stop scrying for now.

The Buun, Balance and Conflict: Scene 1, Balance and Conflict

Added Sat Aug 1 12:29:46 2009 at level 16:
A long snowy road stretches ahead as you find yourself being able to
see what Kohrzeck sees. It is obvious that these are events that
took place in his past. The vision is a bit hazey, the only truly
clarity being the long and endless road ahead. Kohrzeck begins to
slowly walk, encountering various scenes.

The first scene becomes clearer as you and Kohrzeck walk nearer to it
down the trail. It is a series of three identical statues, repeated
endlessly as far as the eye can see in circles.
The first statue is of a wounded man lying on the ground face up. One
of his hands is clutching his chest, while the other is grabbing onto
the heel of another statue.

The second statue is of a young woman tending to the dying man. She
wears a hooded robe and a has a mothering aura about her. She is
kneeled near the dying man with a bowl, filled with water from melted
snow, in her right hand and a wash cloth in the other.

The third statue is of a short dwarvish looking man with a thick beard.
He is hunched over the statue of the young, a dagger in his right hand
and a coin purse in his left. The dagger in his hand is only inches
from the back of the woman. The statue's face has a dark and sinister
look about it. Finally, you see the hand of the dying man clutched
onto the heel of this statue, as if trying to stop what is about to
occur with his last bits of strength.

Kohrzeck takes a moment to absorb his surroundings before asking
himself, "Which one is Kohrzeck?". A moment passes, a knowing smile
washes over his face, and he nods to himself and continues down the
trail.

It is now obvious that you are within the mind of Kohrzeck as you exit.

To some, balance and conflict may seem like two ideals that could never
co-exist. But, to the Frostborne, the teachings of the Buun are clear.
A true mover and shaker will always be required to take the place of one
the statues.

...
Kohrzeck steps back from the scene of the statues and continues down the
long white trail. The next scene can be seen in the distance, but it is
yet unclear as to what it could be. All you and he can make out from
this distance is an easel without a canvas.

Kohrzeck Frostborne

Added Tue Jul 28 10:04:59 2009 at level 1:
Kohrzeck is like any other Frostborne tribespersos, in that he
beliefs that a balanced soul is a tempered soul. To sway too far
in one direction is to weaken the duality of the spirit.
He feels the same when asked of his views on Order and Chaos.
Order, to Kohrzeck, is physical and mental discipline. It is
needed to hone one's own self and create from what does not exist.
Chaos, however, is the execution of the ability one gains through
Order. The two go hand in hand, and canno exist without the other.

Magic is a force he respects greatly. Since the Buun is so sacred
to himself and his people, he feels that any force that would
disrupt Magic, would therefore aim to disrupt the Buun.

Kohrzeck tends towards the cautious side at times. He might often
say a prayer to Iunnalady before or after taking a life in the hopes
that they find the serenity of Spirit that he has. One of his traits
is to never think of an enemy with hatred. Instead, he would seek to
also teach his enemy and inspire them to change. Such is the way of
the Buun and the Frostborne. With a firey soul that cannot even be
put out by the snowy storm peaks, Kohrzeck now roams.

The Frostborne

Added Tue Jul 28 10:04:41 2009 at level 1:
The Frostborne are a mysterious tribe of Cloud Giants from
the still undiscovered northern snowy peaks of Thera. An
ancient civilization, the Frostborne live their lives according
to the teaching of their sacred texts, the Buun. The Buun is
a sacred book of magical qualities, believed by the Frostborne
to be graced by the Warrior-Goddess herself. It's texts are
riddled with Frostborne tradition and religious beliefs centered
around Iunna. They are a ferociously resilient tribe of Clouds
that have adapted to the harsh cold of the snowy storm peaks,
and have thus become hardened to the swayings of Good and Evil.
They believe that morality exists only when one must make a
decision of great importance. Though some times it is best for
the Tribe that one commit a selfless act of kindness, it is also
often true to them that the individual spirit cannot grow without
also tasting sin and vice.

Kohrzeck is one such being of the Frostborne and has since traveled
down from his native home to spread the teachings of the Buun and
its interpretations of the Warrior-Goddess' followings. He has
also come of age. And, as many young and inquisitive fellows do,
has a wander lust that must be quenched. Much to his families
disappointment, he set off to find himself, his Goddess and his
purpose in this new-found world.
