Description
Tall and slender, with long, silvery hair, dark-elf stands before you.
Ageless, like most of the elven kind, he may be either eternal young -
or eternal ancient. His wide, almond-shaped eyes stares at you with
cold examination... and sorrow. Though his face shows no emotions,
for some reason it looks evil. Evil, and attractive at the same time.
No fancy magical auras surrounds him; he doesn't emanate any kind of
shining waves of light, like many so-called mages are enjoying to have.
No. Vice versa, his absolute calmness seems to absorbs energies, that
surrounds him. His mind is perfectly calm, and he, himself, is a stern
battle monk.
Role
Boredom
Added Sat Aug 14 17:29:42 2010 at level 8:
Being son of a drowish watchmaker. What can be more boring? Only being a son of a
librarian. Unfortunately, a smart, agile and intelligent dark-elven boy named
Kornithogoth were both.
What can anger a talented person more than a dull future? Future, without any chance
for becoming a Great One - King, Duke or at least a Baron? Only lack of the way to
do so.
Born in a bad family, born in a city with matriarchy political structure, boy
with a proud name Kornithogoth (closest translation to Theran would be something like
'Rage of Healing' or 'Healing of Rage') could see it clearly. His future was futureless.
He had to do something.. and he did.
a Book of Wizzagoth
Added Sun Aug 15 04:54:38 2010 at level 8:
To change his pointless and hopeless life, Kornithogoth had develpoed a desious plan. This plan
included a lot of learning, required inhuman effort, unbreakable will and a couple of years.
But Kornithogoth had it all, and he begun his work.
First couple of years, when he had time between floorsweeping and making other dirty tasks,
unworthy for a pure dark-elf, he spent in library. He had to work there, too, to gain entrance
to the most secure areas. Finally, he found what he was looking for: Manual of Wizzagoth, an
ancient drowish conjurer. This book of Wizzagoth, one of the most powerful demon summoners, was
indeed a treasure, because itincluded complete course of becoming a conjurer.
Kornithogoth had followed instructions and soon hr could summon a lesser imps. Three years
later he decided that he is ready to draw his first pentagramm, circle of demon summoning.
A marvelous circle that would make him great, and allow to gain reputation and authority within
Teth Azeleth.
Next fullmoon night, he too a white chalk, pint of a virgin slave blood, pack of candles and went
to the roof of his underground house. Of course, he didn't see moonlight in those caves, but almost
felt it's cold light. At 3 am, he had drawn the first line. At 3.33am, he finished his last incantation.
At 3.33.33 am, a huge horned demon appeared in a blinding flash of blue light.
- 'I command you, bow before me and obey to my Will, infernal creature!', - shouted Kornithogoth.
- 'Funny', - with a roar, answered demon and erased a white line of pentagramm with his clawed feet.
- 'For a while I didn't eat a dark-elven demon-summoner wanna-be', - he continued and stepped out
form the protective circle of summoning.
The Deal

To make it short and to save you from the long (and quite humiliating for the boy) conversition, we will skip
it. Enough to say that Kornithogoth managed to beg, convince and barter his lifeblood for lifeblood two other
dark-elves. Guess whose?
At the end of his fest, demon looked quite pleased and satisfied.
- 'I would eate you too, pesky mortal! But I am too sate now, so... Why did you call me here, fool?', - asked
the great devil finally, wiping blood of his parents from his jagged mouth.
- 'To get out of here. To gain power, to become better than that!', - answered shocked boy, but fear gave him
strength to become brave, as he had nothing to lose.
- 'So, it is your wish? To be tranported out of here?', - cackling, questoined demon.
- 'Yes. Especially after that butchery... First House will not be much happy with that!, - answered a mage.
- 'It's your lucky day, mage... or night. But next time we meet, I'll slay you. Don't try to summon other of
my kin, too. We know your name now, you will never manage to keep any of us with your magic. Undestood, fool?!'
- 'Absoultely', answered a never-to-be-conjurer anymore.
Second blinding light left him standing in the middle of Sands of Sorrow, absolutely naked. Infernal laughter
hit like a thunderclap and devious presence has vanished.
- 'Great... now I have to find a dress, home and something to eat, before I become great!', - sarcastically though
Kornithogoth. - 'At least I am free now. Absolutely free!', and he spat on the cold sand.
Night Wandering

He looked around. He was standing in the middle of the endless sands. He would enjoy the view,
if it wouldn't be so cold. Strong winds were almost blowing him away from the dune on which he
was staying. Dark scorpion passed on his bare feet and looked up, into his eyes. Kornithogoth kicked
him away and grimaced, feeling depseration. Without food, without water, he was going for a slow death.
But, he was alive yet. So, he took dirction toward the moon and begun to walk, looking for something
to chew. He wasn't hungry yet, but in such situations hunger always comes... as well as thirst.
His way was long, and his thoughts was dark. They included devils, demons and eternal torments, which
he would cause to them, when he will have enough power. Thoughts of revenge and anger were maddening the boy.
Finally, he found a some green cactus, almost without a spikes. Cactus looked like edible, though
something was wierd about it.
- 'Either I eat you and die', - said Kornithogoth to the cactus, - 'Either I just die'.
He ate the cactus and kept moving, until he begun to feel something. He was getting high.
Miracleous Oasis
Added Mon Aug 16 03:47:21 2010 at level 22:
His head was spinning slightly, and teeth turned into a sharp jaws. Skin was smooth quicksilver, and electicity
was dancing through his spine. He felt like flying, and his feet have risen from the ground. He was a jinn of the
desert, and he was happy to fly like that - in the night, naked, pure energy, pure essence of extasy. He was happy.
He even would not torment the devil that brought him here, just would slay him quickly. He extended his transparent
tentacles and went up, to the surface of the moon, where he found a very nice and comfortable oasis. There he found
enough of food, water and elven maiden to pleasure him and to torment her. It was the life that he always was
dreaming about.
Next thing he saw was a giant feet, standing on the sand right before his face. Feet was dark and ugly.
Hangover hit like a falling rock, light of the toasting sun was burning his pale skin. His mout was a desert itself.
He suffered and wished to die. And feet before his feet made things even worse.
- 'I see', - said rumbling, low voice, -'njoying a payomash cactus, drow liddle. Dangeros ta do, can die from'.
- 'Actually, it is what I was doing, sir Giant Feet. If not you, I would manage to do it without such pain!'
- 'Ho-ho!,' laughed a fire giant, and Kornithogoth closed his ears with his hands, to prevent shattering of his skull.
- 'I willa save ye,little drow. I have a business in Udgaard, but I am kind of unwelcome there. Wanna live?'
- 'Of course I do, you big loud bastard! Do something or leave me alone and let me finally die!' - roared Kornithogoth.
- 'Llrighto, righto. Don't yeh move, letta me repair you some.' - and he summoned horrible, ultimate power to cure poor
drow. An image of Majestic Scepter appeared for a moment above his bald head, and Kornithogoth recognized the Symbol.
It was The Power, the Strength that he always were dreaming of. He felt himself relived, and stood up.
He looked into bottmoless eyes of the fire giant priest and unbearable envy filled his mind.
His life got a new goal. Everything was clear now. He seen himself with the crown on his head, and power in his spirit.
- 'Iffa yer done dreamin, boy, bring this to Striidhi, in Udgaard', - said shaman and tossed him pack of payomash cactus.
- 'And make sure yer don't eat it again. Ye know, cost lotst'.
Higher State

He brought the package to the Striighi, the trader, in Udgaard, and earned a handful of silver coins.
Trade looked at him strangely, but Kornithogoth didn't pay much attention to it.
After finishing that task, Kornithogoth was sitting in some tavern, thinking of his future. He had no idea what to do with
the sudden freedom, of which he have been dreaming so much. Also, he was affraid that demons will come after him someday.
Suddenly, he felt a divine presence. It was unseen, but stunning with it's power and might. Tavern become silent, music stopped.
- 'Enlilth! Enlilth has arrvied into his shrine!', - after a endless moment people whispered. - 'Praised be his Scepter!'
'Aha!' - thought Kornithogoth, - 'Doubtless, it is a sign!'
And he, without paying for the meal, left the tavern. Nobody noticed it, though, still being shocked by the God.
Led by the feeling of power, he found his shrine. He prayed to Enlilth, and he did answered. He tested him, and blessed him.
Kornithogoth became his priest, and he didn't need payamash cactus anymore: power, that circled through his body and spirit,
had a lot stronger effect. Now, Kornithogoth was permanently high, extasy was filling his wide opened mind.
Growth
Added Sat Aug 21 09:10:51 2010 at level 51:
Soon after becoming imperial bloodoath, Kornithogoth decided that he do not wish to be a slave again.
No, he had enough in Teth Azeleth, being slave to his parents! He will serve Emperor and Empire, of course.
But not as a slave, but as a priest. And so he did. His growth was amazingly quick.
In seven days he grew to the full-power priest, from the filthy bloodoath. His career begun with saving Emperor,
when he was suddenly attacked by two outlanders in the mists of Thar-Acacia. Emperor would certainly die, if not
Kornithogoth and his effective prayers to his deity.
He grew to the imperial priest and stopped to think: whats next? He surely wanted to get promoted further.
Also, he felt a strong desire to strengthen empire. He was aiding other imperial to grow in strength, so
Empire will grow stronger. His Empire will grow stronger.
The First Preaching of Kornithogoth, part I
Added Mon Aug 23 13:43:01 2010 at level 51:
After some time, Kornithogoth finally developed his first (but not last) preaching.
He recruited a young bard, citizen and member of the blade sect for sending it across whole Thera.
This is his preaching, forever, so it will be never lost in time.
Greetings, Citizens of Thera, Children of our glorious Empire!
This is a preaching about the so-called 'seven mortal sins'.
As you all know well, they are of course Envy, Greed, Pride, Anger, Sloth, Gluttony, and Lust.
If you agree with this beware, for you have been brainwashed by meek and false prophets!
Let's look at Envy. How often did you hear in childhood: 'Look at him, he is a perfect example of...'
And you looked at this one, and he was better than you are at something. You have been taught to
become better than this person. Under the influence of Envy, we strive to break our boundaries.
We strive to become something that is *better* than we are. It is a stimulus for great deeds, and
Look at Greed. It is another thing that will turn a hopeless child into the strongest warrior,
or even a king. Greed is one of the reasons why evolution exists. Greed is an energy for progress
itself. It is another stimulus for mortals to strive for something greater, and become strong. Thus,
Greed is certainly not a sin!
Pride? How can pride be a sin, if you earned it? Aren't you free to feel whatever you like? If you are
a mother, will you not be proud of the success of your children? Who dares to call this a sin, this
perfect feeling that makes us care for each other?
Anger. This one is a solid rock! Anger makes us act. Anger forces meek people into something
more than they are. Often, it is the only way to become a man. Anger is a feeling that strengthens
mortals, that helps them in the most difficult times. Anger is a power that helps us stand up after a
crushing defeat and, gritting our teeth, defeating our foes! Who can say that anger is a sin?
Who will dare to call a holy vengeance, based on anger, a sin? Even Gods may be angered, and
Gods commit no sin, obviously.
The First Preaching of Kornithogoth, part II
Added Mon Aug 23 13:43:42 2010 at level 51:
Sloth. Who said you must work every day, from the sunrise till the deep night, like a
slave? On weekends, have you not earned some relaxation? When you became a king, did
you not earn it? It is your freedom and your sacred right to spend your free time as you wish!
And even more. Followers of sloth are working a lot better, with *greater* effort, because they
know: work hard now, and later you will have time for whatever you like. Thus, in many
situations, Sloth makes us work harder!
Gluttony, who had the bright idea to call *this* a sin? Probably someone who had not enough
food to feed his family! Remember when you were a children, your parents were feeding you
with everything they had, so you would become strong and healthy. If you do not eat, if you do
not enjoy your meal, will you have strength for a great deeds? Of course not. Gluttony cannot
be a sin. This is the bad joke of some fake priest, jester, or fool.
Now, this is only a very brief refutation of nonsense. Each paragraph may be widely extended
and clarified, until it will take a book or two.
But even now you can see: those are not mortal sins, but the greatest virtues of a mortal that not
only strengthens his spirit and body, but also bring progress to the whole nation. Those who lack
those virtues do not survive. Look around - will you see any person who lacks those virtues? No,
you will not, because they all died long ago.
Thus, praise the Dark Lords, who are patrons of those spheres, and especially praise lord Enlilth,
who is patron of the greatest virtues - Envy, Greed and Strength, which those two are granting to
a person.
Come and join Empire, where those virtues are well understood and respected, and where no one
will bind us with the chains of false morale of the fake phophets. Open your eyes, awake from the
dream of the slaves and take a Bloodoath, to become strong and purified. Open new horizons and
possibilities, that are closed forever for the weak fools, who are adepts of the seven sins.
Kornithogoth, Priest of Lord Enlilth, Imperial Priest
An Evil Plan
Added Tue Aug 24 01:26:55 2010 at level 51:
With time, Kornithogoth had developed a plan of coming one step closer to the throne.
It was a very simple, evil tactics, and old as the Gods.
He was going to give blessings for free, or for the lowest possible price. He would protect
any one of the Empire as much as he could, as effective, as possible. He would gate and save
dying or endangered citizens, he would aid them with everything - ever when they will not
truly need his help. Like that extreme addictive payomash cactus, he would become a drug.
Drug, without which those citizens soon would not want to live, would not want to walk, would
not want to fight. He was going to replace their strength with his own and with strength
of Lord Enlilth.
Time was passing, and his plan began coming to reality. Most of the blades were following him
there, where he wanted them to go; Many would give him handfuls of gold coins for free - as
they thought. He was called to help, and he kept his flock alive, happy (as much as evil
citizens of the evil empire may be happy) and in a perfect condition. Wealth of the citizens
dramatically increased, together with the wealth of the whole Empire.
But first, most important signal of his success was offer of war master Zubei, who said to him,
in private hall of the Imperial Palace:
- Nots ever seen us hold all items this long, - He said, wiping blood of just-murdered assassin
from his claws, - You doing real goods.
Kornithogoth nodded and grinned evilly.
- I do, - He said, and held his breath. Was it offer he had expected for so long??
Zubei did not noticed a well concealed amusement of the priest and continued.
- Keep it up ands you might justs usurp Niglecher.
Kornithogoth peered at him and questioned,
- Will you support me, should I begin the process?
Zubei fell silent for a moment.
- Only reason I would nots want Niglecher outs of that seat, - He said then, - Is because she
agree for me to stay in War Master seat.
- Do not worry about that, - Answered Kornithogoth. - I will support you too.
Zubei did not say anything, just nodded. But it was enough for the dark priest of Empire.
His first goal was accomplished, and it happened faster that he expected.
Usurping Niglecher
Added Thu Aug 26 16:07:55 2010 at level 51:
After talking to his deity, mighty and fearful lord Enlilth, Kornithogoth have been given a task:
to gain authority within Empire. Easiest way would be gain position of the High Priest.
But position was occupied by Niglecher, and Kornithogoth developed another plan. He told blades,
who were already heavily dependant on him, to send scrolls to emperor Hanord, voting for his person
as a new High Priest. And so they did - or so they told him. All elite blades, and even younger ones.
Kornithogoth would do the same with anyone else, if they would present within Empire or if he would
ever met them, but they were always somewhere else.
So, he did the first step in process of usurpation. Soon, he would become either High Priest... either Anathema.
He have put all on the card, and held well-worn lucky coin, that he took from the ancient dragon, as a talisman.
Weakness and cowardice of the Imperial Counsil
Added Sat Aug 28 02:56:46 2010 at level 51:
Not surprising that plans of Kornithogoth of becoming a High Priest himself failed.
War master Zubei appeared to be a foolish coward, affraid to lose his own seat.
As Kornithogoth thought, he sold him to Niglecher, so he wouldn't lose to Targrala.
Both Kornithogoth and supported him Targrala were demoted. And Kornithogoth laughed quietly,
because this was the best proof of their weakness. They should make him anathema, not just cast
down through imperial ranks. What he did lose, he will regain - and even more.
He will revenge to both of them, and to betrayer, and to the weak high priestess, who certainly
did lack leadership and ability to make strong decisions.
