Description

A shadowy form of a dark-skinned warrior stands here before you, garbed in assorted armor. While his frame at first glance appears to be small, the way he moves with quickness and grace clearly marks him as a warrior. Looking closer one can see that his skin is bluish gray in color and in fact not shadows. Sleek stark white hair has been neatly braided and held back from his face with such precision that not even a strand of hair appears out of place. Almond shaped crimson red eyes glare out at those near him, as if judging them beneath his attention. Yet there are few that his gaze does not sweep across as he takes in all the details of what can be seen. His long pointed ears give his face even a more stern look, as two iron service studs can be seen piercing his right ear. His face appears to be hard and stoic, though a little sneer curls his lip revealing his pearly white teeth. Looking upon his garments, they appear to be immaculately taken care of as there are no signs of stains or wrinkles upon them. His armor appears to be well cleaned as the scent of oil and other aromatics can be smelled upon the air near him. Everything appears to be precisely where it needs to be in order for him to move with grace and ease, as several dagger sheaths can be seen upon his belt and thigh. With movements quick and silent, one would never know that he was there until it was perhaps too late.

Role

Brief Summary of Korvasin Ul'Drilon

Added Sun Aug 3 07:57:02 2025 at level 20:
Korvasin, a skilled young shadow dancer from the treacherous Dark Elf city of
Teth Azeleth, found himself constantly battling for survival. In Teth
Azeleth, power was everything and betrayal was as common as breath. However
his House, once esteemed as a great house of warriors, had fallen out of
favor with the ruling Matron, leaving them vulnerable to the city's brutal
power struggles.

Korvasin, despite his talent, knew his chances of rising through the ranks
were slim, and his houses continued existence was precarious.

One fateful night, a rival House orchestrated a raid on their compound.
Korvasin, with grit and determination, managed to fight his way out and
escape the burning ruins. Carrying only with him his twin bladed daggers and
a burning desire for revenge against those who had destroyed his house. He
knew however he could not challenge the might of Teth Azeleth matriarchal
system on his own. For Teth Azeleth for all its skullduggery held an illusion
of order and a caste system. To openly oppose it would be no better then the
dogs which laid siege to his House's estate.

Weeks of desperate travel through the perilous Underdark led him to the
surface world. The Sun-drenched streets of Hamsah were alien to him, but
rumors of an Empire with vast resources and strict order sparked a desire
within him. He had heard whispers of the Empire's capacity and desires to
absorb any and all people, that they sought those who could rise up and seize
power within their ranks. Korvasin might be a refuge, but in the Empire he
would have a chance to become something more than just a pawn in a deadly
game.

Thus Korvasin gave his oath to the Empress, for such was the only mortal
worthy enough to give such.

House Ul'Drilon

Added Sun Aug 3 08:37:33 2025 at level 20:
Teth Azeleth, a matriarchically society where those whom are born male are
seen as nothing more then fodder for their plots and schemes. Houses ruled
by their Matrons maneuver for power and a tight grip upon order, seeking any
advantage they can possibly obtain. Yet within this society was a lowly house
which had risen to power.

However not all females born within Teth Azeleth would have a path to power.
And even if you were ruthless and shrewd, there could be many obstacles
within your path. Lilathiana Ul'Drilon was one such daughter of one of the
noble houses. The fifth born, and born without any divine or magical talent,
she was seen as useless. Yet Lilathiana was born with a great and devious
intellect which would help her rise to power.

Breaking from her house since all she would ever be is a servant to her own
lesser sisters, Lilathiana was given permission to start her own house. Her
Matron found it amusing, thinking that allowing her to fail would bring her
back to the house humbled. Yet Lilathiana knew where to place her faith and
knew where to obtain power which others had squandered. To her house
Lilathiana welcomed the outcast males who were purged from their houses. The
unwanted and abandoned. For there was a greater design which could be found
in Teth Azeleth, a design which she would embrace over that of the spider
goddess.

Lilathiana spared no expense as she gathered these males and began to have
them trained by the best she could find. Instilling within them order and
perfection, something which was often lacking in other houses. As lesser
houses fell, she would take in those who had survived for they had potential
of greatness and power. As the years passed, the House Ul'Drilon had become
known as a mercenary house. Willing to be bought and placed upon the fields
of battle, for they were disciplined and deadly. Known for the twin daggers
that Lilathiana gave every new member, for they represented Dominion and
Obedience. Each loyal to their own Matron and would slay themselves before
ever submitting to another or betrayal.'When seen upon the field, it brought
fear to the hearts of many houses, for what was a greater threat then an army
of males dedicated to such a purpose as your own destruction?

The Spider Goddess Wrath

Added Sun Aug 3 10:22:10 2025 at level 21:
While many houses employed House Ul'Drilon to wage war by proxy, they did so
with disgust for House Ul'Drilon were seen as heretics. Not only did it give
importance and power to males, but they shunned the blessed Spider Goddess in
favor of their Lord Destuvius. Had this been limited to House Ul'Drilon only,
perhaps they would have been tolerated more so. However many males within
other houses were starting to think more of themselves. That perhaps they too
should be allowed power, and often the Matrons would find small rebellions
within their own houses.

It was determined by the head Matron of Teth Azeleth that this could no
longer continue. For their own grasp of power was at stake, as she could see
it slipping through their fingers as House Ul'Drilon grew stronger and
stronger. An example must be made, a sacriice to the Spider Goddess to once
again place everything back into its proper illusion of order.

It was determined that Lilathiana's former House would be the instrument of
destruction. Summoned by her mother under the pretense that she wished to
employ their house, Lilathiana returned to her own house. It was explained
that an assault was going to be made upon one of the greater houses, and that
Lilathiana would be given this honor to rise to their station should it be
successful.

Upon the day of the assault, House Ul'Drilon took up their spot as the spear
point of the attack. With Lilathiana seated with her mother behind the
forces, the signal was given to begin the assault. Though soon into the
assault, Lilathiana noticed that her mothers forces were not moving in to
help. Though it seemed that her soldiers were doing well enough on their own
as they were starting to push deep into the lines. Finally Lilathiana's
mother gave the signal and a roar went up as her troops rushed into battle.
Lilathiana's relief soon turn to dread as she watched as her mothers troops
tore into her own. Spinning to confront her mother, Lilathiana found a dagger
slicing across her throat and watched as her blood spilled forth.

That day the House Ul'Drilon was destroyed, however there were a few who were
able to fight their way through and escape. Such was that of Korvasin.

The Grand Design

Added Sun Aug 3 11:25:20 2025 at level 21:
Having fled to the forsaken surface and its blinding hell, Korvasin was
stricken by the events which had unfolded. Dodging the trackers which pursued
him and his brothers, it had taken a week to make it to the surface. Yet
these lands were alien to him, and the damn sun hurt his eyes. Though he knew
that there was a grand design in all of this, ever purging the weakness in
him and making him harder and more powerful.

So it came as no surprise to Korvasin when he found that Lord Destuvius was
worshiped within Hamsah, as it was only natural for those of power. A glimmer
of home within this desolate landscape, a keystone to which he would build
his journey. It was also here among his followers that Korvasin learned of
the Empire. Intrigued by the recruiter, he traveled North to see if they
would be worthy enough to pledge his blades. As he approached the Imperial
lands, he encountered several centurions with their captain, a grizzled
veteran from his appearance. This captain recognized the skill and spirit
within Korvasin, more so then the common chaft which they normally found
seeking power. After testing his combat skills and his grasp of the common
tongue, this Captain spoke to him further of the Empire and offered him the
oath right then and there. But if what he had learned was true, there could
be no greater honor then to take the oath from the Empress. And thus is what
he had vowed to do, and it had came to pass.

The Empire

Added Sun Aug 3 11:30:06 2025 at level 21:
Korvasin joined the Empire, not out of loyalty to the Empire itself, but with
a calculated ambition and devotion to order. He saw the Empire as a stepping
stone, a means to an end. It was an opportunity to hone his skills, gain
resources, and perhaps one day return Teth Azeleth. Not as a fleeing
survivor, but as a force to be reckoned with, ready to exact revenge upon
those who had taken everything from him.

The Empire was not perfect, but it offered a strange comfort of stability,
structure and order. He found himself amongst soldiers of different races,
fighting in the name of darkness and order. The seeds of loyalty began to
grow within him. He found that the Empire, despite its imperfections, did
offer a degree of protection and opportunity that his homeland had denied
him. Korvasin's journey to the Empire was not born out of patriotism, but a
primal drive for survival and revenge. Yet in the grand design of the Empire,
he might find something he never expected.

Inquesition of the Empress

Added Sun Aug 31 14:54:04 2025 at level 51:
Those of power should be obeyed without question, this was a truth of the
Grand Design which could not be ignored. Yet as well, it is said it should
only be such so long as they are of power. And there was no mortal higher
within the Empire then that of the Empress.

Yet something about this Harlequin Empress had bothered Korvasin for some
time. There was signs of madness and insanity, and he was not the only one
who saw such. Speaking to those of the council, they all seemed to think such
things were normal as they have always seen the Empress as such. This in of
itself was not something which would lead one to question their power. But to
infest the Palace walls with chaos, that was.

The Empress decreed that ANY association with demonic forces and chaos should
be punished by purging by fire and removal. She even went as far as to
command a shadow to remove his armor and destroy it, even though there was no
taint of chaos upon it. Being a command from the Empress, none had an issue
with it as it was her right even If whimsical. Though soon after while
traveling with the Empress, Korvasin saw what proved his thoughts about her
correct. She would use that of an aura of despair which surrounded her with
minions of the abyss. A realm of demons and chaos, causing many to strike out
at her. This Empress, who decreed that none should touch anything of chaos,
cloaked herself with it.

What was worse, is the Empress was willing to make a contract with a being of
chaos. A foul saurian dark knight, whom thought to speak to any and all of
the Empire as if he was a citizen. When questioned, the Empress did not think
anything of it until an ominious voice spoke out. Only then did she seem to
back peddle.

But Korvasin had seen enough and penned a scroll to Lord Destuvius, the other
Divine Lords and to the Inquisitors. He called for an Inquisition into the
Empress for her own actions against her very own decrees and for association
with chaos.

Deposing of the War Master

Added Sun Aug 31 15:08:21 2025 at level 51:
Upon earning Lord Destuvius' mark, Korvasin was given a coin and told that he
could demand that which he wanted with this coin. Holding it in his hands,
Korvasin knew it held power that could either establish a stronger foundation
for the Empire or throw it into chaos. To be capacious like the Empress and
demand something simply because of some base desire, would welcome chaos into
the Palace.

So Korvasin held the coin and watched that of the council and Empress.
Korvasin knew already that the Empress was tainted by chaos, and it only
needed time to solve that issue. So he would not waste the coin with this
matter. Instead he watched as the War Master Azmari continued to ignore the
Sect and Empire and was absent. To be give the position of War Master, one
has a duty to be present for all. To be a pillar upon the council for others
to see and awaken to. To rally the Imperial forces to conquest against the
chaotic hordes.

Yet Azmari had failed in this, and allowed the sect to crumble from within.
To the Empress, Korvasin presented the coin and demanded that Azmari be
removed as the War Master and in their place he be named. Korvasin already
held the ear of both the Dread Lady and the High Priestess, and they both
supported such a decision as well. Empress Felyndiira took the coin and
accepted their fate, and stated that it shall be so.

Korvasin will allow Azmari to remain an Elite blade, so long as they accept
their position within the Sect. It is not the goal to punish Azmari but to
strength the Sect and the Empire. However should they balk at this, Korvasin
shall make sure they know their place and allow them to see the Empire as a
blood oath or even Anathema.
