Description
A ashen looking avian female is before you. Her wings are hunched and
drawn around her like some kind of blanket. As they flap when she is
airborne, obvious damage to the wings can be seen. Feathers are stripped
from sections, one of the flexes in the right wing looks to be broken
and remended incorrectly. What is even more noticeable is the female's
head. There is a slight crush in the right side of her skull. Enough that
the feathers indent where there was obvious impact, or multiple ones.
Her eyes are narrow and deep with emotion. Due to the concave shape of
the right side of her avian skull, one eye is slightly sunken in and its
eyesocket oblong. Her talons on both her feet and hands are also grossly
larger than normal, which gives her a gargoyle like look. The most stark
feature of this avian is the colors of her feathers. Half of her feathers
from the center chest to the right is white, while the other half from
the center chest to the left is black. This division is almost perfectly
center through her body and even follows through on her beak, which is
exactly separated black and white on each side.
Role
Abuse within the Egg
Added Sat Jan 2 22:08:06 2021 at level 31:
Before Kreenvrok even was born our of her shell, she was being abuse. She
was a child of a bright light loving, and pure white feathered, avian from
the shaman guild in the Avian city. The lover was a pure black feathered
arial warrior who was condemned forever to the gauntlet and its endless
punishments. His heart was pure evil, and so their offspring, when discovered
by the Council of Avians within the city, was seen as an abomination.
The Council, specifically those of the goodly ways, thought that this egg
should not even be allowed to come to being born. So the Council overruled
the minority dark hearted council members, and one bleeding heart balance
member, and assign the egg to the care of the local Fortress Marans. This
group of non-avians, a human, dwarf, and storm giant, were tasked with ending
the vile yet to be born avian in a swift and merciful way.
Unfortunately for the egg (Kreenvrok) they did not deal with the egg and
put it out of its misery quickly. Instead, dwarf, human, and storm giant
simply toyed and abused the egg. Joked as they threw it, and smashed it
about. Spouting about their holy and divine war, that this unborn evil-doer
deserves all this torture and abuse.
and under the hands of their "Divine" touch was brutal. They dented the
side of the egg as they toyed with the egg, partially crushing Kreenvrok's
baby avian head within. The smashed the side and spun it about, breaking
bones within Kreenvrok's wings, weakening his dexterity and ability to
move like normal avians do. Dozens of other abuses, undescribeable and
not what good aligned avians should do, were showered upon the shell and
Kreenvrok's tiny body within. The dwarf finally took great pleasure in
taking his hammer, teeing up the bruised, and abused egg, and striking it
hard toward the downward path down the mountain out of avian city.
There all three laughed and watched as the egg tumbled out of sight,
suffering its final abuses before disappearing. The Righteous
Three howled in delight one last time, and moved on to hunt some local
orcs.
This experience was engrained deeply into Kreenvrok and he developed
a fear, hatred, and complete distrust of all those not avian in nature.
How Kreenvrok survived the experience would be either a huge piece of
luck or a massive case of unluck. Either way, as the egg bounced down
the moutains, continuing to crack a bit and a bit more, it finally
shattered at the feet of a few sentries on the mountain path. Obligated
to take the broken, near death avian to Udgaard, and there it was put
into the care of the orphanage there.
The orphanage of Udgaard, Terrible Care for a Cheap Cheap Price
Added Sat Jan 2 22:08:43 2021 at level 31:
Kreenvrok was brought back from near death by the healers of Udgaard
but the only reason was to make sure they have an investable slave.
While it was well within the powers of the healer to cure the massive
damage caused by the abuse of the Maran, since it was so fresh, but
why bother?
Kreenvrok spent the rest of her childhood and most of her young adult
years enslaved by the watch of Udgaard. There, poorly treated, she would
be chained to the walls, and forced to fly high to scout for enemies
of the city. Each day she would be chained up, and she would fly and
each day pulled down, chained and thrown into a cell. Only by sheer
determination was she able to learn a partial shift upon her legs
which allows her to shift out of the chains that held her the next
day and escape. With so much time in captivity, she was a late bloomer
to her next phase in life, spending most of her youth jailed.
The Ugly Duckling
Added Sat Jan 2 22:09:14 2021 at level 31:
Kreenvrok gained attributes of her mother and father. Due to her abuses
and the sheer differences between the two, her feathering was black
and dark on one side, and on the other perfectly white. The division
was disturbingly perfect directly down the middle of her body.
The Maran Abuses, as they are called now to Kreenvrok, uglied the avian
in the eyes of every humanoid. Marred and broken, hunched and a
broken beak, she was the worst representative of her race.
But with every ugliness can come dispair and weakness, or a strength
bound in defiance of her situation. Her flaws became markings of
Victory. In the beginning, in just surviving, and then slowly but
surely thriving into a belief that she could bring back revenge, bring
back something more, be something great. Find the solution, discover
the mystery, and ultimately be the angel she believes she is inside.
She has been judged forever, and hates so many around her, but she
will be seen as the final passer of judgement on this plane. It will
be Her and she will be Seen.
Why does an Egg learn to swim?
Added Wed Jan 6 13:09:21 2021 at level 43:
Due to Kreenvrok's minor shapeshifting abilities that allowed her to
escape her confines by partial shifting her feet out of the shackles,
she chose to puruse this path for her power as well as her ability
to blend in and be away from everyone.
Therefore, where would be one place no one would look for or think
to find an arial? Under water. Kreenvrok has found a calmness as
she glides through the waters, swimming with her wings like a true
water creature. She has developed a technique to avoid the watery
hydrophobia by sheer will power alone and now calls the waters her
home.
Showing Victory through Abuse and Crippling
Added Wed Jan 6 13:09:44 2021 at level 43:
Kreenvrok seeks to find the Broken Looking Glass. It is her teachings
in the quiets and spaces between the abuses and the enslavement that
taught Kreenvrok her way. She learned in those moments to embrace
the cripplings and the flaws, and use them as a looking glass to
change her perspective on the world and how she initially viewed it.
How to see through the prism of glass wearing her flaws proudly
and in doing so, it opens up new perspectives. These new perspectives
have led her to new discoveries, new strengths, and new powers
previously would be overlooked if her flaws did not exist. There
is true power in the reality altering effects of crippling flaws
and hardships in ones life.
It is time that Lady Daphedee knows Kreenvrok's name.
The Eternal Night, Eternal Mysteries, and Reavers of The Tree
Added Wed Jan 6 13:10:25 2021 at level 43:
Kreenvrok has always been isolated away from society. Not many
sought to travel or be with Kreenvrok and help her gain in power.
She spent many, many hours alone learning her magical and physical
growth. Strangely enough where she has found true acceptance is
with Reavers of the Thar-Eris wild creatures. They accepted her
without question. Saw her flaws, ugliness, even the panick she
induced being near here, and still they walked with her. There
was no conversation about being better, simply judged on her
current abilities to survive.
This acceptance is interesting as Kreenvrok also seeks to find
the mysteries the Chasm of the Eternal Night has. There she
wants to discover if the brining of the Eternal Night is the flaw
that all of Thera needs. In bringing that hardship, and that
existence something amazing will develop. Perhaps through her
work, she can align the Reavers of the Tree with the Chasm
and create something absolutely new and amazing. When one
has a different perspective, anything is possible.
Therefore Kreenvrok will go out of her way not to abuse and
slaughter the Reaver Outlanders so someday this bond can be
built upon.
