Description

Before you is a wide elf, his skin slightly tanned and weathered. His frame is huge for an elf, almost making his head seem too small. His piercing green eyes move like a hawk's, behind the unkempt brown tangles of dreads hanging from his elven head. A wild and primitive look are completed by muddied clothing and well worn armor. A faint smell of smoke and firewood wafts from him.

Eryn Galen.  Kreshkin had to make it there, he had to study in the guild.  He
saw the damage brought to the Holy Grove by the unholy magics and even the Empire
over east.  The power held there was under attack by those who could never hope
to comprehend them.

On his long trek, Kreshkin was trapped in a Mountain Ravine during a sudden
downpour.  The storm roared overhead as he held to a tree for life, nothing
to drive him forward but his own dedication and goals.  Letting go of the tree
may not have been certain death, he was near the plains.  But during those
moments of him clinging to the tree, as if it were all of his conviction, he
felt life surge through him.

In the power of the storm he found inspiration.  Though it threatened to tear
him far away from his goal, possibly to his death, it showed him the strength
of his own conviction.

He made it to Eryn Galen, and was enrolled in training in the Warrior's guild.
Embracing the power of the storm, rather than running from it, he has drawn
new power to himself.

A dream

A massive storm blows over the orc village, brilliant lightning shattering crude
structures and towers.  The hail pelted every living creature, destroying livestock
and plants for miles around.  When the water finally came from the mountains, Kreshkin
watched as hoardes of orcs, orc sows, and young orcs were swallowed up by the massive
wave of water.

Just as the sun began to peek over the horizon, a yellow glint returned the village back
to normal, and Kreshkin began to open his eyes to the first slit of sunlight coming over
the broad horizon.

Observations

Added Fri Mar 2 05:15:46 2012 at level 32:

Frustratd, Kreshkin slumps against a nearby tree and crouches to escape the sun.  Eyes
glazing over, he gives his body a moment's rest.  And his mind.  He followed the wild
winds halfway across Thera, and after the blizzard he found he found himself in the
warm desert as the sun set.

A palm frond lazily spun through the air, finally settling on the ground as it fluttered
in the wind.  Kreshkin looked up into the tree above him, and saw a few delicious ripe
dates.

He pondered his fortune as he dined on the delicious fruit.  Though he often watched the
weather, he wasn't looking above him.

Wandering the cliffs of insanity, Kreshkin used his newfound observation to find the ship
of the Captain.  Rewarded with cool, refreshing ale, his gloomy disposition has taken a
turn for the better, basking in the life and energy after the storm.

Not So Different

Added Tue Mar 20 01:04:56 2012 at level 46:

As a cold rain pours over the volcano, Kreshkin takes cover beneath a few larger tropical leaves.
"We are not so different."  Kreshkin almost whispers.  "The magic opposes everything I find myself
fighting for."  Kreshkin draws in a sharp breath with the last words, almost sighing.

A loud voice booms, also hidden beneath a few leaves.  "Yuh, dat be wut sayin!  Kresh not fighting true disease."

Rolling his eyes, Kreshkin wanders from his companion.  Muttering to himself, Kreshkin finds himself
not far away, hiding in the tropical mists.  "If the magic.. is what balances nature, then would it destroy
magic to bring Thar-Eris?"  Kreshkin wonders aloud.

Conflict has stirred in his soul.  What is the link between magic and nature?  Is there an attainable
balance, or does magic directly oppose Thar-Eris?  A few ales later, and Kreshkin is still not sure what to
think of it.  For whatever reason, he's started to distrust mages.
