Description
.
Krimzar is enormous and scruffy - if you ask anyone to describe him,
those are the two words they'd likely use. His shoulder-length, wavy
emerald green hair is frequently uncombed, his square, frankly grotesque,
jaw frequently unshaven, and his clothes and armor, while surprisingly
well fitted, show their wear. His skin has grayish color but carries what
could perhaps resemble a tan. Fire left a mark that runs from just under
the right eyebrow, toward the right side of his lips and ends on his
chin. He has glacier blue eyes and a nose, once straight and likely
noble-looking, but now broken in at least two places.
Despite the size and the scruff, Krimzar gives off the vibe of a gentle
creature.
Closer examination reveals an intricate tattoo on his right shoulder of
what appears to be a sigil of the ancient Elven Vaults. It looks quite
fresh, its scarring raw.

Quick Summary

Synopsis: Krimzar, orphaned and lost at sea, is lucky enough to be
picked up by jade elves who adopt him and train him to become their
Warden. As soon as he takes his new post, all hell breaks loose and
armies of Voidwalkers consume his adoptive tribe. Krimzar's core memory
is watching his clothes and armor melt away in acid, as he somehow again
survives. Scarred, both physically and psychologically, he vows to fight
the Void and ensure that nothing like that would happen again. Lacking
confidence to be a guardian in a classic sense, he believes that becoming
a blacksmith would best accomplish that goal. Never again would the
touch of the Void feel the skin and flesh of the Light. Krimzar, dabbles
in ale, prays to Whiysdan (whom he credits for giving him the Luck to
survive) under the sphere of Passion, and seeks to become a Herald to
master his armorcrafting and tailoring to give fortitude and hope to
those around him.
Krimzar Oakbelly

Krimzar was raised by the Ocean itself. Lost at sea, by his surely loving
parents, he grew up raised by turtles and dolphins. Learning how to
survive in the kelps, until he came upon a settlement of jade elves at
the age of one hundred and thirteen. Curious as to who these other beings
were, he explored the camp, to run into their leader, who decided to
adopt Krimzar who, according to the jade elven tales, was blessed by the
Lucky Lord himself to survive against all odds. Teaching him to speak,
training him to be strong and temperate, and showing him their history,
Krimzar grew to appreciate the leader of the clan like a father, Aeloth.
He followed him everywhere hanging unto his every word. When he came of
age, Krimzar was chosen as the guardian of their (and now his) people.
Using his natural prowess and led by Aeloth, he trained every day to
become strong. Training with polearms, staves, swords, and maces. A
silver poleaxe was always his preferred weapon. The ability to channel
divine spirit into his body made him a crushing force to come across.
The jade elves lovingly called him the Oakbelly. Living this way for the
next thirteen years, he was truly elated when Aeloth called upon him to
become a Warden of the jade elven tribe.
Everything fell apart shortly thereafter.
Krimzar never saw it coming. The Ocean nearby boiled as if blending with
lava and the Voidwalkers came pouring out. Blending with darkness and
unable to be seen, they attacked, consuming all in void, Aeloth included.
Krimzar watched in horror, as the armor crafted by his adopted father,
melted away in the acid of their touch. Injured, unconscious, and lying
in a pool of darkspawn filth and blood, Krimzar passed out.
Awakening to his own screams over and over, feeling the fire of pain like
he's never experienced before... until he found himself on a cot in
Galadon, his rescuers unknown.

That it takes precisely thirteen things to forge a nice piece of armor?
The process begins with a nice cold (1) forge, the size of a medium Galadon
brick-stone. And then of course an (2) anvil, cooled with the coldest of
ice from Frozen Tundra, to temper the toughest of metals. A good sturdy
(3) hammer. A barrel of fine (4) polish. Of course, a pair of (5) tongs.
A (6) hacksaw, its handle made of wormwood. A welding (7) torch, the
finest the gnomes could design. A measuring (8) stick, not too big, not
too small, precisely thirteen feet for those two-handed blades. And then a
collection of thirteen chisels, most of them never used, except of course a
(9) small chisel, a (10) medium chisel, and my favorite a (11) large
chisel. Now forging alone is terrible so a tankard of (12) ale adds just
the right touch to the process. And of course the secret and most
important ingredient - a bit of (13) luck!
The 14th hour of the 14th day of the 14th month

It happened. It was at 2pm on the second Day of the Sun on the fourteenth
Month of the Shadows. Krimzar would have known that... had he not used all
of his exquisite pocketwatches on a silver chain. Krimzar never saw it
coming. In fact, just the opposite, his eyes were filled with zeal with
his faith in the Lucky Lord on an expedition to the Elven Vaults. The
Lucky Lord's drinks lacked simple spice - salt - and that is what Krimzar
was set out to do, to bring jade salt sprinkles to the Temple of the
Thirteen. Out of nowhere, Krimzar felt a sharp pain in his side. It was
the tip of an elven blade, a knight, guarding the tunnel to the elven lich.
"Surely that's a mistake," Krimzar thought to himself as he attempted to
withdraw from battle. To his horror, his legs refused to move bound
solidly to the ground by the Lord's aristaeia. The rest was a slow vivid
nightmare as Krimzar removed his pike and tried to shield the elf with his
own body, only to trip and crush the elf with Krimzar's own weight. An
innocent soul sent to the Azure Fields before its time has come... All his
life, Krimzar faced darkness from without, only to sense an excruciating
void claw at the soul within.
