Description
A tall figure in a long turquoise robe is before you. His skin is well-
tanned, but not too much so, still having its young, healthy
smoothness. Beneath the oversized cone-shaped crimson hat, small pointy ears
protrude. He glances toward you revealing one red eye and one brown. Dark
black hair with white streaks descends down over his shoulders, like a
rushing waterfall to his knees. The quilted turquoise robe is held together
with a small red sash covering most of the armor underneath. As you further
inspect the figure before you, you realize that the skin is not tan at all.
But rather its natural coloring is a mixture of brownish-gray.

The night Krollos Karthonins mother conceived, the moon's deathly pallor appeared
unusually beautiful.
It was the night, as Krollos would find after he carved her organs from the
husk of her corpse, she made a bargain with the Arch-devil Baphomet.
She was a witch. Not a particularly impressive witch. In fact, she was a
failure in her own mind. But her son or daughter would become a legend, she
decided. And so, for years on end, she performed rituals intended to draw the
attention of the Devil who watches over the Circle of lust, Baphomet.
The rituals yielded nothing, time and time again. She continued, practicing
her failing craft alone deep within the northern forests.
One night, the baying of the dire wolves ceased for hours. She first noticed
the cloaked figure sitting on the planked wooden floor of the cabin from
outside, where she drew water from her decrepit well. Her call, he told her,
was answered. And the seed was planted.
The child, once born, was not fully man nor was it at all a devil. His
features were almost drowish.
Krollos paid dearly for his father's deception. His mother expressed her
disappointment with beatings and horrid treatment. But her pride forced her
to teach him magic, which he learned at a reasonable pace.
It was never quick enough for her, though.
There was no single event that caused Krollos to decide to kill his mother.
It just seemed the logical thing to do once he had learned enough from her.
She hurt him much and helped him little.
And he would need food for the journey to the city...
A deal is struck.

Krolloss quest for knowledge and the power to slay his father had led him to
the dark church of the Lord of Suffering. He found this ironic twist most
amusing. As he quietly admires his surroundings his loyal quasit alerts him
to the presence of the Dark Knight. Mekantos stepped forth into the church
and after a brief conversation offered the young conjurer a place within his
Chasm. So a pact is made that even as the Scions give strength to Krollos so
shall he in return give strength to them. Even now he begins his studies of
the shadowplane and how to further harness its dark powers.
The quest continues

Long and slow has the struggle been through the ranks of power. Krollos has
met with hardships and defeat at almost every step. Still the young mongrel
picked himself up and continued on with his journey. As his knowledge of his
art has grown so has his power and status. He has gained the respect of the
other magi within the Chasm. When tasked with a quest to find the demon
KrethKa it was his hand that led the search and the first to find, that
which was lost.He was the only one to complete the bargain and restore his
body to its former self.
His quest to increase his art of conjuration and the command of night has led
him on a quest to reach to Dark Scholar. Valguarnera has promised to give
strength to his Chasm when the time is optimum. Now is that time. The
lesser mages of the chasm have been swept away leaving behind only those of
worth. It is time to show Thera that it is not the volume of mages that
matter, but the might of their power.
The thing that infuriates him the most are those that claim he lacks order
because he holds no respect for the laws of the Tribunals. The order he
follows though is knowledge. He systematically attacks any problem and
reviews the possible outcomes. Always searching for the path that will best
serves his needs and desires. Soon Krollos will reach the pinnacle of his
guild and lead the charge upon the devil, Baphomet. Before then though he
must claim his place among the leaders of the Scion and gain complete
knowledge of the devils and nightwalkers under his command.
