Description
Neatly trimmed auburn hair, flecked with faint wisps
of silver, softly return the eloquent and soft
glimmer of the passing light's gentle kiss and shine
mellowly. Two short braids cascade down from his
left temple and are decorated by slim pewter beads.
His complexion is clear and smooth and a soothing
gaze of confidence is often upon his visage. Sharp
arching cheekbones are accentuated by a neatly
trimmed goatee, also mirroring his peppered auburn
lochs. Green eyes, highlighted by small flecks of
hazel, seem to shift from concentration to
relaxation at a moments notice. Overall, his frame
is slender and marginally unremarkable but when
combined with his softer features and confident
counterpoise stance, the sense is uniquely his own.
Role
Hopes' solemn requiem.

Blood, the blood.. it was everywhere. Dreary
crimson stains were spattered all across the innards
of my dwelling. They yet oozed with the swiftly
fleeting life in which they once strove to sustain.
Just then, the last faint whimpers and whispers of
mortality were reaching their final termination and
all of my senses were most assuredly to be
devastatingly overwhelmed.
Finicky flickers of light and shadow danced
gleefully from the buzzing of flies as they
feverishly flew about, hungrily gobbling their
fleshy fill. The deep earthy smell of sickly
sweetness which had begun to engulf my home and
brought them, was in its' infantile stages, further
aided to churn my uneasy stomach. As the heat of
acknowledging my lost love began, an abrupt
conflagration from deep within my bowls achingly
torched my chest and murderously reddened my face,
then all rational thoughts flittered away.
Tears, they wouldn't relent their mighty torrent and
as I held my young bride and our child ever so
closely to my bosom, the only certainty was that
they were slow to yield. With each of the passing
moments growing more illuminated by the morning sun,
the realization of this disaster became more and
more real and less like some intangible nightmare.
Imbibed determination of resolve.

The memories which remain from that time are as
fresh in my thoughts as if they were playing at
present and they have forever left a stain upon my
heart. It wasn't long after coming to terms with my
new reality that I learned that these vile deeds
were perpetrated by everyday citizens whom had
resorted to crime so that they could fulfill their
own petty desires, like so many others.
So.. as I was drowning my sorrows with several large
pints of ale, I made my ultimate determination. It
was then that I decided that someone should have the
courage to do what's right, regardless of whom the
criminal was. Knowing my plight, served to steady
my resolve and now helps to remind me as an anchor
and origin for my courage.
Although deep down inside I'm still hurt and broken,
I've decided to stick with my decision. Some folks
may know about my tragedy but everything that can be
done to remain upbeat and to even appear powerful
shall be accomplished to the extent I'm able,
because we all have our histories, some more epic
than others. Yet, these are the tales that everyone
knows because just like a folk tale, before the hero
rises and stands stoic and tall, he has often
suffered the most of all.
The boozed up rhapsodist.

Hark! Sing us a song, you ol'drunk.. they cried.
Humor was not my friend nor theirs that day. I
began to whorl and dance, then at the top of my
lungs cried out in a horrific manor, eventually my
maddening mess terminated upon their table as I
asked for copper for my evening topper. As each of
the men and the one young lady began to slowly scoot
their chairs back to the table, after the fiasco,
they began to laugh, almost to the point of being
manic.. heh.. I wouldn't let them see, the real me.
Although I may have appeared jovial and maybe even a
little spastic to the quartet, the inside of my
heart still ached. I had visited this pub, an
innumerable number of days yet the only part of me
that was any lighter was my purse. Often during my
drunken stupor, I'd think back of how the sound of
my voice and the great tales of Therians past would
calm my wailing child and put a smile upon the face
of my beloved, and my troubled heart would skip
beats. But.. but. Those were my happiest times and
regardless of the outcome, thats my historic origin.
After a few hard months, it was decided. I'd take
my given talent and join the bards' guild. Sure,
I'd be a traveler and wonderer for a while but
during all that time, my goal became clear. My
talents would be used for the protection of other
men, women, children, husbands and wives.. Noble.. .
No, I wouldn't say that, It was my Duty and the
thought of such a pursuit brought the first rays of
happiness to my heart that I'd felt in ages.

On many a day, along I go, so often seen squeezing
on my pipes, the blue bag held tight and the passing
events I sing with all my might. In retrospect,
throughout my current situation, my feel for the
verse has wholeheartedly given itself to the more
epic forms of song and although I may twist my
tongue and shift my tone, it is the deep sense of
connection with histories and pride in my past that
keeps my core concentrated on it. Never forgetting
my own days of yore allows me to know a fundamental
truth and that is where strength ultimately arises.
The building blocks of days gone by, always seem fit
to continually remind us that the principles on
which we stand are there for a reason. For me, it
is so. Although I'm growing daily in my craft, it
is this foundation that keeps my ascension assured.
While I now utilize my wit and words to enforce the
law, I'll also do my best to see that it applies
evenly to all. These principles play their role
here in that it is imperative to have a great
understanding of the prime rules and governing laws.
Experiencing the few brief years supporting my
rudimentary conception of these world workings, the
main discovery that I've gleaned is that studying,
reading, enjoying the word, is imperative. Recently
uncovering that the Spires' writings about
Provincial Magistrates is out of date, supports my
theory. Yet, to some, discerning things like this
may seem as a bad thing but in reality and to me,
they are the building blocks of my history and
foundation and are to be absorbed so that growth as
a person, a bard, and a Tribunal does not stagnate.
The Whiysdonian principles.

A solemn plodding of semi-silent footsteps, echoing
from behind, has come to accompany a consciousness
deeply rooted in the laws of our lands. Sometimes
softened by the slosh of a passing shower, sometimes
by the soft crunch of snow, even when they are
muffled by the torrents of hail or thunder, they
follow me still. My loyal guard, such fine women
and men that they are, have become an integral part
of my everyday life. Seldom are the days that I
forget their presence, especially when they feel as
an extension of my own desires. Always looming
within my thoughts dwell the consideration of their
choice to serve and the courage it takes to do,
what we do.
The kinsmen serving to either side of me, of course,
are deserving of honor, accolades, and the adoration
that I, so often, give. Mostly they are all hearty
reminders of why I took up this post, so many years
ago. Most of them have passionate reasons to have
taken up our cause, much like myself, and after
treading the path of life, with them, for some time
now and knowing some measure of acknowledgement
myself, as a Provincial Magistrate, I've found a
renewed vigor that drives my passion for life and
law. I have adapted by becoming a Mentor, of
prospective enforcers of the law, and I'll wear this
new mantle with pride.
Although it can be a difficult burden to bare, and
several have fallen under it's great weight and
power, I shall do my best to preserver and remain
true to who resides within. Sometimes through
comedy, sometimes through discipline or detailed
instruction, sometimes with gentle or subtle
influence, I always try my best to impart wisdom
into those around me, be they friend or foe. While
it did take me some time to realize the overall
importance of my chosen task, it was also liberating
and revealing to begin to understand that my tenants
bay that I seek further enlightenment and visit the
cavern of Thirteen and meet their embodiment.
