Description

The drow before you commands attention, not only due to her demeanor but also for her stature. She is large, dominating for a dark-elf, from her height to her heft, but not in any grotesque indulgent way. She is simply a large, in-charge woman. She scours about, her pale red eyes seeing the unseen, scrutinizing, judging. Her stern face is measured, sharp corners set by a thin nose. Her hair is cropped short too, leaving nothing unruly or distracting to happen. She is armored in light leathers and armors which do not hinder her in any way. Her robe flows evenly, controlled. Nothing is out of place upon her person. A brutish flail is at her side, along with a small shield, and the faint prayers of faith quietly guide her pursuits.

Role

The Warpriest.

No great society is built upon the whims of the capricious.  It is unreasonable.
Yet still do the dark-elves toil in reverence to the Spider Queen.  For over a
century it was all Kuvurru knew, she, a warpriest of one of the greater houses,
always in conflict with the other houses, and more.  Duergar.  Beasts of the
underdark.  Even the elves above.  What brought the houses together tore them
apart, an endless cycle of unpurposed ambition and betrayal.  They did not know
their place and turmoil persisted.

Kuvurru's command of the battlefield was second to none.  She knew war.  War 
breaks people.  But not her.  Where her elder contemporaries find the battlefield 
chaotic and scheme to work within the chaos, Kuvurru sees through it, realizing
that within all is some spectrum of reason, and by this knowledge, the war can
be controlled, for the actors on the battlefield can be controlled, manipulated,
ordered.  Imperfect soldiers, led by imperfect generals, initiated by imperfect
lords, kings, and tyrants.  Fear, history, proclivities, all of it contributed
as reasons to action, and reason can be understood, then controlled.

It was all broken and in need of a strong hand to break it more and reassemble
as should be.  Yet what was Kuvurru to do, stuck beneath the realm, yoked to
her station and house, at the whims of the goddess Lloth?  She was young and
under the hierarchy of those before her.

War.  War, of course.

Upon the battlefield, the same predictable chaos swirled about.  The fifth
house was always at war with the eighth house, when the prior year the fifth
house was always allied with the eighth house.  But Kuvurru saw through things
as always, and she guided her part in the battle with precision.  In the end,
the calamity, as the turmoil of war left few alive at her side, and none in
front of her, she stood gazing until the afflictions took them all for dead.

Only she remained.  Unbound to the mercurial temperaments of a spider queen,
she departed.  She was born in Teth, but not of Teth, for her purpose was of
a greater design.

The Honors.

There exists an asylum for those who see beyond the immediate.  It is there that
Kuvurru came to know of the Twin Honors: Dominion and Obedience, where order was
not simply revered but understood to be right.  The Grand Design is not only
the tapestry of civilization but the thread too, intentional and ordered.  This
resonated with Kuvurru in a holy way, and she yearned to kneel before the Holy
Overseer himself, Destuvius.

But there are those which continue to tear at the edges of the Design, their very
disobedience introducing mayhem, turmoil, and pandemonium.  What is good and
ordered degrades as these agents of chaos persist out of alignment.

Kuvurru has taken to the Empire to subjugate these disruptors, and she has been
rewarded within its ranks, beginning as a simple Citizen to overseeing the
Divine Sect as its High Priestess.  It is only good and right that her potential
be seen, rewarded, amidst her efforts.

She struggles with some aspects of Imperial dominion.  Some of the lesser Divine
follow gods of chaos and she detests them.  Even the Emperor, Ignuund, attested
that he has worked tasks for the enemies of the Empire, a conjurer upon the ship
the Muse's Throne, aiding the Chasm and the nightwalkers which control it.

She sees these as fractures in the foundation of the Order and it grates her.
A firm foundation must be in place for the Palace to progress.  Yet she knows
she cannot implement something like a purity test, at least not yet.  Kuvurru
wonders of the balance between perfection from the start versus perfection
cultivated over time, and reasons through which it must be case by case.

Here, her gifts shine, touched by Reason, thoughtful, articulate, and zealous.

She is blessed, for she now partakes of the power of her Lord God Destuvius.
He is good, right, and perfect, and His influence reigns in her.

War stirs.  A war of ideals, of progress, land, righteousness, commandment.
And in all this, by her word and deed, the Twin Honors flourish.
