Description
You see before you an arial about 5'09". His slender frame is hidden beneath
midnight black feathers streaked with white. You see what can only be
described as frost or steam, similiar to that breathed on a cold winter day,
emitting from his body. His beak looks sharp though it is scarred from
use and battle. His hands are bare of feathers and appear well groomed and
manicured. His blue eyes are odd. You notice the pupiles appear to be shaped
like lightning bolts. A foul smell of sulphur surrounds him as he draws near.
The mark of the Prince of Darkness burns like a bleeding coal upon his
forehead.
Role
A new beginning.

Background: Originally hailed from Arial City. Both parents were murdered while I was a teenager. I lived on the streets and belonged to a "family"
of other street kids. I stole and begged to survive. I am not proud of this time in my life. I was caught stealing by the Arial City guard and was
given a choice to spend time in jail or be shipped off to the Galadon Academy. I saw this as an opportunity and took it.
Things of importance to me:
1) Knowledge - Strives to learn all he can and studies his spells because he believes wielders of magic coupled with knowledge is true power.
2) Fear - Believes a master of fear is a master of ones self. A main reason he has taken an affinity of 6 in Lightning. Lightning is feared among
his race and he believes he can overcome his fear and make that which he fears most of all the elements, Lightning, to serve him.
3) Misery and Pain - He has known both all his life starting with his parents death and winding up on the streets like a beggar. Feels like he is owed
something and has accepted both in his life but has come to the realization that he actually enjoys seeing others suffering pain and misery.
4) Has a disdain for priests. Believes priests are weaker then mages because they are given everything on a silver platter while mages must practice
and study their art. Mages pull from the void and weave their arcane power while priests beg for their Deities blessing.
5) Is willing to help others if there is some gain in return whether tangible or intangible. ie. Money or gear vs Knowledge about the unknown.
6) Has no qualms about lying or cheating to get what he wants.
A new discovery.

I have sumbled on The Chamber of the Scions of Eternal Darkness found within the Academy. The information within intrigues me. I shall seek out more
information about these Scions and see if they are truly uninhibited in their thirst for knowledge and power.
Graduation.

I have just graduated from the Galadon Academy and have made Hamsah Mu'taz my home town. I have joined the Invoker's guild because I have always
had an affinity for the elements. The guildmaster advised I could make one path a focus or dabble in all the elemental paths. I chose the latter
because I desire to master all the elements to make them serve me.
To Hell and back.

Loshnak invited me to accompany him into Hell. A fools errand I had thought. Why follow him to my death? Loshnak advised, "A shame you do not wish to
gaze upon Satan. The Father's son will be reached." Curiousity has always killed the cat, why not me? I of course accepted the invitation and headed
in. Hell....a place of twisted visions, sorrow, and death. I have never felt more at...home. There are many things of power within. Our hard march
seemed on reaching Satan without much exploration. I listened, observed, and learned as much as I could. The trip was made with little interruption
and but a single sacrifice. Emanlon was sacrificed to allow us to continue our trek, much to his surprise. Loshnak surprised me for we did gaze upon
the Father's son, Satan himself. I was humbled before Him and branded with His tattoo so that I can continue His work within Thera. I hope I do not
disappoint, for the consequences would no doubt be dire.
Loshnak continues to astound me with his knowledge and ability to gather so many to follow him. I still trust him as far as I can throw him. I
understand I am useful to him for the moment. No doubt in time he will deem otherwise. I must be vigilant.

I believe I have done well keeping my interest in the Chasm a secret. Zubei Believes I am a mercenary for hire. The villagers believe the same. I
continue to search for my sleek sienna rod with no luck. I am at a loss. If only some sort of sign might help me in my search. I have looked far and
wide to no avail. Oliyn advised Loshnak and Mazthroil were carried away by the Prince of Darkness's topside agents. An awakening. It appears the
Prince of Darkness does not make idles threats. I wonder how they failed Him? I shall continue to practice my spells and hope I am allowed to learn
the darkest secrets the Chasm must hold. Patience truely is a virtue.
I have begun the process of shedding my mortality and have learned demielemental transcendence. The guildmaster within Hamsah has changed me...forever
it seems. The most obvious is my appearance, the color of my feathers, my eyes, this god forsaken mist. I can feel the power though coursing through
my veins. I have given myself wholely to the elements. We shall see if it is a cursing or a blessing.

A strange request from Charine. Either she is dying or already dead. I have not seen her for some time and the Archmage has been silent.
She has requested that we reverse-engineer the magic involved with items that conjure extra-planar creatures.
Specifically she has named six...though I hesitate to write them down for fear someone outside the Chasm might learn of our pursuits.
Her missive stated a minumum of two along with the circlet of flowing shadows from Maethien should be brought to Khardrath's
Planar Sanctum to be picked apart and studied. We shall see if it is a fools errand. We shall see.
Shiloh
Added Sat Oct 9 05:23:21 2010 at level 51:
Shiloh. Surely he cannot be such the trusting buffoon he leads on to be. I shall have to watch him closely.
He wishes the seat of power within the Chasm. Chancellorship. Perhaps he doesn't realize such decisions
are not left up to men...but to the Archmage, even the Gods above. He thinks himself worthy...though I think the
Ccul'gra will eat him whole. Even my Master will have nothing left to play with.
Perhaps if what he desires comes to pass....he is more cunning then I give him credit for. We shall see...we shall see.
Shiloh at least confirmed what I have suspected. The Advisor and Chancellor apparently did meet an untimely end. That
would explain their absence. I have only seen myself, Shiloh, and the transmuter.
On an aside note, I rather enjoy my transition. My body and mind feel one. I am still having difficulty mastering
Immolation, Conglaciation, and Quicksand. The enemies of the Chasm have kept me occupied form my studies. I shall have to
focus more intently upon them.
Chasm
Added Sat Nov 6 02:34:27 2010 at level 51:
The Chasm is stagnant. The Archmage has remained silent. Shiloh is indeed the fool I first thought him to be and much more.
His eyes have looked upon his own corpse more times then a Hamsah whore upon a naked man. He claimed the Archmage spoke
with him, as h ave others of the Chasm. Either they lie or I have not done enough to garner his attention.
The Chasm needs a spark. According to Kinust we have gathered enough items for the Ritual. Perhaps it is time.
I shall speak to Kinust about such when next I see him.
A task
Added Thu Dec 2 01:37:17 2010 at level 51:
I spoke with the Archmage of what is required of the Advisor...and he didn't answer my question. He only advised I should prove
my worth should I desire it. I do not know what he wishes to see....but I have been thinking long and hard upon something.
I think we of the Chasm pride ourselves on the fact we are scholars first and foremost. For with knowledge comes
true power. The Prophecy mandates that the Ccul'gra serve our calling as long as we strive to open the portals
which allow them unhindered access into our world. If we are scholars then surely we must ask ourselves questions?
Let us take a look at the Ccul'gra who wander under the shield within Maethien. They are bound within yet have unhindered access
within the confines of the shield. These beings are those that are promised to enter should we open the portals?
They attack us on sight. They no longer need us. They are here and have not kept their side of the bargain.
Granted they are "jailed" to the dome...but they do not acknowledge us in any way. It would appear to me the Ccul'gra
will not hold up their end of this pact.
I propose we must learn more of the Ccul'gra within the confines of the shield. If these are what are promised then we are
nothing to them. We must find some way to control them. They must serve us...not us to serve them.
