Role
Gift of Healing
Added Sat Apr 18 14:25:40 2020 at level 1:
Borned as a third child and youngest of the Woodsworth family, Laurandt was the
highlight of the house, greatly pampered with love and attention, over protection
would be an understatement. At the age of three, it has been discovered that
Laurandt has a gift of healing, though weak while he was still young, but there
was expectation that the gift would grow into something bigger as he mature.
Nature
Added Sat Apr 18 14:27:23 2020 at level 1:
Despite the love and attention given to Laurandt, he did not grow up to be arrogant
or ungrateful. His shyness and humility grew on the people around him. The priviledge
of having things done his way (despite there being none since Laurandt is a child with
few desires), Laurandt was not one to abuse such kindness shown to him. Laurandt is
strong willed, putting in the most effort possible in all tasks.
Woodsworth Family
Added Sat Apr 18 14:27:41 2020 at level 1:
Laurandt's father is a titled Duke and the Woodsworth family serves the Royal Family.
The Royal Family rules through fear and domination while Laurandt's father is a titled
Duke, he does not have to participate in war and conquest since his father's main
responsibility is to ensure economical security within the empire. The citizens hated
the Royal Family and other titled royals that rule different part of the lands.
But things are different in the land ruled by the Woodsworth family. The people live
in peace and happiness. Stomachs were filled, people were employed. There is no
suffering.
Heart-Struck
Added Sat Apr 18 14:30:15 2020 at level 1:
When Laurandt was twelve years old, his family attended a royal party to celebrate
the birth of new princess. There were great food, wine and entertainment. The
entertainers walked and danced on nail bed and scorched burning stones. Despite
bleedings and burnings, they continued without cease.
Laurandt was heart-struck. This does not seem right, he told himself. The performers
were scrawny and frail. They had to smile and laugh while bleeding and burning.
All for naught but for pure leisure of the Royalties. This is where Laurandt learned
that the world is not perfect. The urge to fix the existing flaws was so overwhelming
that he couldn't breath.
Laurandt feeling unwell, thus his father retired from the party to have Laurandt nursed
back home. Back home, Laurandt had a conversation with his father on what happened
during the party. His father despite having the same opinion with regards to the
god forsaken entertainments, had to remain withhold back, based on loyalty and mainly
to ensure the safety of the people in his land. He did not have the choice to turn his
back against the Royal Family.
Eighteen and Forward
Added Sat Apr 18 18:21:45 2020 at level 11:
Whilst Laurandt was loved and treasured. It is not his fate to inherit the family
as he was the third child, the second son and the youngest. His brother Nappoline
was meant to lead the Woodsworth family one day in the future. Free from the responsibility
to carry on the family leadership, Laurandt had the choice to live the way he wants.
At the ceremonial age of eighteen, where young lad and lass are considered as adults,
Laurandt decided to leave the Woodsworth family and live the life as a missionary,
using his gifts to offer whatever assistance possible. While the journey ahead will
be challenging, Laurandt believes that it is possible to change the current and work
towards a better future. Laurandt believe that no beings are born perfect, no
obstacles are meant not to conquered. Constant reviewing options made even though it
may result in failure. That could only be the learning lesson to success. With nothing
one may gain possibly everything.
Contradiction
Added Sun Apr 19 15:50:24 2020 at level 20:
While Laurandt journey through the lands, often he would think about the situation
back home. The position his father was in. To do what is morally right and rise up
against the Royal Family, take the risk of having the people in his land being
put up war, face against suffering. Or the option taken by his father, which is to
take a step back and protect what was within his reach. It was a situation where
both the front and back of the palm is one own's flesh. There isn't a right or wrong
in this situation. Question is, what is the best solution in this situation? Is the
solution the only solution? Is it even a solution? Many questions but no definite
answer.
Audience with Einoh
Added Fri Apr 24 14:10:33 2020 at level 51:
On this faithful day, Laurandt was finally able to have an audience with Lord Einoh.
It was an enlightening experience. Laurandt has always been quick at decision making.
Whenever he hears of a situation, he will get quick-witted and attempt to solve it,
despite not knowing if the solution will work with complete success. Till date, he
was rather lucky to not have faced any failure.
Einoh mentioned to Laurandt to look into himself(Laurandt) to find the evil withi him.
Laurandt was initially puzzled but after hearing Einoh speak of himself, Laurandt
realised it is about his own principle of right and wrong behaviour. It may also be
Laurandt's inner desires.
Due to Laurandt's shyness, he is not known to take the active role to befriend people
around him. There is always that thin briar stopping him from moving forward as he is
afraid of rejection, while being so, he hungers for friends, to be recognized by them.
Thus he does his best to please the people around him. He is like a puppy, hungry and
dying for adoration.
Perhaps it is due to fear of rejection and possibly betrayal which resulted from his
experience during the youth and with the royalties, Laurandt finds it difficult to
completely trust his life to the people around him. If ever asked to have Laurandt
blindfolded and led by others to walk through a thin ledge, Laurandt feels that he
is not capable of doing it yet.
Trust
Added Fri Apr 24 14:15:56 2020 at level 51:
It has been a while since Laurandt recruitment as a Scribe in the Fortress. Laurandt
who once had the difficulty to trust the people around him, has learned to trust member
of the Fortress. He has no intention to hide his past of being untrusting and seek
forgiveness for his past while hope that they would accept him once again. He decide to
speak to the three Marans that he adventures with quite often, namely Chetush, Deiramor
and Devrena.
First Blood
Added Sun Apr 26 10:24:00 2020 at level 51:
This marks the day where Laurandt took the life of an adventurer. An drow imperial
assassin by the name of Deklast who attacked the Fortress and with Merahaid's assistance,
Deklast was killed by Laurandt. There was a weird sensation when it happened. Laurandt
definitely did not like it, but yet felt nonchalant about it. Laurandt was surprise
as well, he thought he would feel remorse for taking a life of an adventurer. Perhaps
the constant travel with the Marans made him feel immune to the lost of life or perhaps
it is due to the loss was not one of the Light, but instead one of the dark especially
from the imperials. He could relate the desire to overthrow the royal family back home
to this feeling. It was as if the death was necessary for changes to happen.
Nevertheless, this is not something that Laurandt would actively seek as he feels that
his purpose lies beyond the death of the dark.
Second Audience with Einoh
Added Sun Apr 26 14:15:55 2020 at level 51:
This day, Laurandt was able to speak to Einoh who Laurandt regards to as a Life Teacher.
Laurandt shared with Einoh on what was discovered while Einoh pointed out an evil that
Laurandt had missed, which is Greed. Laurandt had over 120 gold in the bank and 60 gold
on hand at that moment. Laurandt ponder through and realised Einoh is right. Laurandt is
capable of handling the basic necessity of life (food and water) and is clothed, he has
no need for the gold. Once again Laurandt was enlightened. Einoh is right, the gold could
have been used to feed the poor, instead of having the gold sit in the bank or in his
pocket. Soon after leaving Einoh's sanctuary, Laurandt visited some beggars and give them
the gold coins and only left less than 10 gold coins with himself.
Laurandt intends to keep a total value less than 10 gold coins at all times to his best
capability. With regards to the task given by Einoh, to find the evil within Laurandt's
Fortress mates and attempt to heal it, that will be in the next update.
Tears Within
Added Mon Apr 27 13:08:07 2020 at level 51:
After the missives that Laurandt sent, something is amiss. The way Chetush treated Laurandt
is different. There is no longer the feeling of warmth, it was cold, icy cold. Worse than
a glare from a total stranger. It was as if Laurandt was treated like a dark. Laurandt tried
multiple times to try to clarify with Chetush, but received silent response. It was clear
that to Chetush, Laurandt is like air. It hurts greatly within Laurandt, he is unsure
of what to do next. It made him feel like dying, as if his heart was missing, an emptiness
in his soul. Laurandt's worst fear had happened, he was unwanted, unneeded, there is a
growing despair within in. He tries to put on a strong front, but within him, he is crying
for help. But Laurandt understands it is a thin line he walks on, as long as his conscience
is clear and he continues to do what he thinks and believes is best for the Light, it wil
all be good. To help people heal and refine their goodness. Hopefully everyone will
understand, some day. Nonetheless, the pain is there.
Introspection
Added Mon Apr 27 14:36:24 2020 at level 51:
After much time spent on the ledge in the Fortress, Laurandt came to a conclusion. He has to
love himself before anyone would love him. (Not in an intimacy sense) It may be true that
what he has learned may not be accepted by others even it is for the sake of refining the
goodness of the people around him. Others may not understand why Laurandt is doing it, they
may not even try to understand. The pain and grieve is a good learning experience thats
allows Laurandt to re-define himself. Only through experiencing pain and grieve then I can
place myself to better understanding people, is what Laurandt thinks. By going through such
experience, he will grow, mature, become more sensible and able to provide sounder advise.
He intends to continue to do his best to further bring out the goodness of the members of the
Fortress. To guide them to refine their goodness, to continue writing missives to help guide
them. All in so that they do not become what they hunt, in so that their light will shine
brighter than before.
Just Talk It Out
Added Tue Apr 28 07:22:35 2020 at level 51:
The incident with Chetush made Laurandt realised that even among comrades there may be things
that people do not talk about and assuming their own conclusion. Now that the Chetush's
misunderstanding is resolved and Laurandt is once again complete, this became an extremely
important lesson. He was glad that Deiramor did not misunderstood. Despite Laurandt's nervous
and shy nature, he has decided to confront in a gentle manner should there be questions that
he needed to be answer. That he believes is the right thing to do.
Seeds of Evil Within (Part 1)
Added Wed Apr 29 10:05:25 2020 at level 51:
As Einoh has highlighted on the Greed factor that lies within Laurandt, he noticed that
this applies to many of her allies within the Fortress, thus he wrote a missive to share
and explain using the subject of Act of Charity and hope that this will guide, protect and
heal them.
Einoh has also shared his insight with regards with Vanity when Laurandt mentioned about
the task assigned by Lord Korsgaard to his followers. Laurandt sees it in different
perspective. Laurandt feels that one have to respect each other, despite differences since
everyone came together for a common commited cause. Laurant feels that it is possible where
one would be over confident, proud or arrogant when they have completed their set targets
(with no reference to the Pathfinders). It is important to cultivate the existing inner
good values and not let them go astray and end up becoming like the dark. In order to
to benefit everyone within the Fortress, he wrote a missive to share on it using the subject
of Overcoming Challenges and hope that this will guide, protect and heal them.
Laurandt felt that at times, there are doubts among each other, but it was not mentioned
to be clarified and understood. Doubts are seed that that breed mistrust, which is rather
deadly especially when the War against the Dark is involved. It is one seed that might lead
a Light to fall into darkness. Thus Laurandt wrote a missive to everyone within the Fortress
to communicate more and to clarify when in need and hope that this will guide, protect and
heal them.
Edges
Added Sat May 2 10:10:59 2020 at level 51:
After much adventures and explorations, Laurandt realised that he is able to learn quite
a number of little arts to allow him to provide assistance and heal others more efficiently.
Afterall, his desire is to offer as much as he can.
Laurandt finds that there are only limited ways that he can tend to Tara'bal when he is
injured, thus he decided to learn the art of being a trained medic to bandage Tara'bal
better. Learned Trained Medic Edge.
There are times where gating to allies seems more challenging, which only delay Laurandt's
ability to provide his aid, thus he decided to learn the art of rapid response. Learned
Rapid Response Edge.
Laurandt realised that when he sleeps to recover his mental strength, he was not able to
watch out for his allies and their surroundings. He has decided to learn the art of
awakened spirit so that he can do so and at the same time to look for opportunities to
share the teachings of Einoh. Learned Awakened Spirit Edge.
Throughout the adventures to the dragons, many mishap had happened. Laurandt wish to
excel better at healing the party he is with. Thus he decided to learn the art of being
a wandering healer, that will help with his mass healing prayer. Learned Wandering Healer Edge.
Nature's Law
Added Mon May 4 11:34:52 2020 at level 51:
Laurandt seeks different paths and methods other than looking out for evils within one's
self to better refine a person including himself. The intention to help others and himself
to grow, become wiser and be better in overall aspect. He has approached Lord Ergush twice,
as he thinks that all living beings are part of Nature since they are life are created
from natural production of population. Thus he wonders how Nature's Law affect others and
him in overall aspect. Perhaps a better understanding of Nature's Law would help. Thus
he continues to ponder on what Lord Ergush had said as quote "What is most important, when
comes to Nature's Law, is to remember that Life, spirit of life follows defined rules of how
to lives. Nature plays a part in every facetof lifes.
Seeds of Evil Within (Part 2)
Added Tue May 5 12:58:13 2020 at level 51:
Laurandt notice that there are times where some members of the Fortress are feeling down,
in mood, for reason or another. That negative energy may lead one astray, making one
abuse substances that may affect their judgement and decision making. Thus Laurandt wrote
a missive Remember the Joy to everyone to remind them despite of the challenges ahead, they
have to maintain happy and joyous thoughts, which will keep them energize. Hopefully this
would help guide, protect and heal them when in need.
While in midst of learning about Nature Laws from Aehwic, where one takes pride in what
they do. Looking at another angle, if one has too much pride and ends up hurting someone
or refuses to own up to their mistake. There are two facets to it, the good will be one
having dignity and self-respect whereas the evil will be unduly high opinion of self and
being haughty. Laurandt decided to write a missive about Pride to to remind everyone the
risk of it. Hopefully this would help guide, protect and heal them when in need.
Throughout the lifetime of adventuring, Laurandt noticed that emotions is a flaw of most
mortal Therans, a source where evils like to tap into. Often leading to despair, rage,
anger and other negative emotions. Which always results in one making a regretful decision.
Temperamental discipline is something that everyone will need to have, in order to make
a wiser decision. Thus, Laurandt wrote a missive with the topic Still Your Anger to all
of the Fortress to remind them to control their emotions and try to keep calm at all times.
Hopefully this would help guide, protect and heal them when in need.
We are all not perfect, but it is such imperfect that gives us the opportunity to become
good and even better. But it is also such times, where the evils within us would try their
very best to surface to get the better of us. It is with much discipline that we need
to ensure such evil does not corrupt the little actions that we take, only then we can
become good and remain good.
True Friends
Added Tue May 5 18:07:03 2020 at level 51:
What are true friends? Friends who comply to all your needs and wishes without doubt? Friends
who you can trust without having to worry that they would betray you? True friends are people
who would make decision and take actions in consideration of what is in your best interest.
They are people who would take the risk of upsetting you, knowing they would betray your trust
in them, but still did what they feel needs to be done for your sake. They are people who value
you more than anything else more than themselves. They are people who are willing to bare your
hatred, even though all they seek is the best for you. They would not seek to harm you as you are
what they hold dear in their heart. They would do all they can to do what is right for you, things
that you would not have dare to do. That is what true friends are.
Leadership
Added Sat May 16 02:13:13 2020 at level 51:
Leaders are people who guide a bunch of people who gathered for a common purpose and
goal. Leaders are not people who make use of the people around to achieve a personal
goal. They are people who try to forecast what might happen and plan preventive measures
for it. They are people to ensure the random bunch of people do not stray from the
from a common purpose and goal. Laurandt feels that Theorendus is not suitable to be
the Leader for the Fortress which Laurandt held dear. He feels like Theorendus only
cares about the Shadow Plane even though Theorendus still do what he is required to
as a condition to stay within the Fortress. Laurandt feels like Theorendus's pride and
selfish personal desire, lack of foresight will bring unnecessary battles to the Fortress,
resulting in unnecessary casualties and harm, and Theorendus does not seem to care about
it at all. Even with Lord Korsgaard has highlighted the similar concern which Laurandt
has raised before to Theorendus's attention, the concern was not heeded. A Leader should
be more concern of his followers' needs than his personal needs. Without the followers
there is no Leader. While at the same time, Laurandt does not appreciate how Theorendus
would attempt to discredit the people who are against his personal goal or how Theorendus
would always claim Einoh to have said that he should do what is right. Technically it is
not wrong to do what is right, but as a Leader, one should do what is right for the entire
cabal, not just for himself. When it is doing what is right for himself and only himself,
that is wrong, that is evil. Laurandt decided to write a missive to the Fortress in hope
to guide Theorendus from the path he is walking now and hopes the missive would guide
the other Fortress members in future. Missive: Decision Making.
Last Resort
Added Tue May 19 23:48:49 2020 at level 51:
Attempting to wake Theorendus from his own desire, Laurandt planned his own bloodshed with
the aid of Cexonza. It is unfortunate that Theorendus does not see the purpose of it but
indulge in his own thoughts and plans. The last resort that Laurandt had which is to cast
himself out of the Fortress, but even so, it seems that Theorendus could care less about
it. Greatly sadden by the self centered centaur, Laurandt was left at wits end.
A journey of seeking
Added Wed May 20 10:33:38 2020 at level 51:
Despite at wits end, after leaving the Fortress, Laurandt attempt to seeks different
means that can help one gain a sight of clarity or foresight of what is to come, hopefully
through it, Theorendus can finally seek beyond himself. Laurandt is unsure if he may find
it, but he does not give up. Hopefully once he has learned it, he will seek to return to
the Fortress before it is too late. Laurandt learned from the shadow cooshee that in
history, such has happened before, thus he intend to seek to find out what has happened
and perhaps find a solution from there.
End of seeking
Added Wed May 20 12:57:55 2020 at level 51:
After speaking to Goddess Padwei, Laurandt realised there things are beyond his reach,
a solution to wake Theorendus may not exist. But Laurandt continues to seek others to
continue his work to attempt to convince Theorendus to wake up. In mean time, Laurandt
despite having a strong desire to return to the Fortress, is unsure on how to do so...
New opportunities
Added Fri May 22 04:26:19 2020 at level 51:
After Laurandt's exile, it seems many new opportunities appeared. Outlanders offered
to guide him and provide him a space on their branches. Tribunals offered recommendation
for her to be recruited. Imperials no less offer him the oath to their new civilization.
But there is only place that Laurandt would call home, that is the Fortress. He continues
his work to guide the Scribes and Acolytes, serving beyond the walls of the Fortress.
While mean time, he observes the war between the Fortress and Outlanders, providing
aid to the former. His heart, his soul, his life for the Fortress.
Talk with Father Einoh
Added Sun May 24 12:44:24 2020 at level 51:
After speaking with Father Einoh, Laurandt is made aware that what he seeks to achieve
is not wrong, but the method could have been of better choice. Father Einoh highlighted
on the results that Laurandt did not expect, his own value that others care for.
That touched Laurandt's heart as he never expected himself to be loved by so many others.
Moving forthward, Laurandt intend to do what he can treasure the people around him,
not only by healing them but also be there for them as much as he can. Laurandt hopes
that one day, Father Einoh would deem him fit and worthy to bear his tattoo. Laurandt
also hopes that when the day comes when he breathes his last breath, his soul would be
allowed to rest for eternity in Father Einoh's sanctuary.
Current Times
Added Tue Jun 9 08:47:41 2020 at level 51:
After speaking to Goddess Padwei and returning to the Fortress, Laurandt often find
that there is a lack of unity within the Fortress, seemingly self afflicted by the
members as often, many care of self interest than of common purpose - with regards
to Goddess Padwei's request.
The Theorendus episode has ended but with the occurence of losing Lord Korsgaard,
once again there is another challenge upon the Fortress itself. Many of the Lord's
followers are sadden and lost at the same time. It is at such times where these
people are at their most vulnerable moment. Laurandt feels he has to do something
for these people. Being humane as he can be, Laurandt offers comfort and guidance
to Lord Korsgaard's followers in hope to search for a new path together with them.
A lifelong journey of giving, something Laurandt never feels tire of. At times he
wish he could live just a little longer, just so he can give just that little bit
more. He does not fear death as it is inevitable as Lord Ergush had say. During
such times, Laurandt wonders if it is alright to be a little evil and greedy, to
even think of having that little bit more time so that he can give more to the
Light. But Father Einoh would probably say that otherwise to that little evil and
greed. Such contradiction of life and desire, such is humanity.
