Description
A clean-cut, well dressed wood-elf male is here, looking very
dapper in clothing of rather impeccable tailoring. The cravat,
the subtle patterned sable cloth that makes up the vest over
his thin armor, and the careful lace of full cuffs, the matching
lace that edges his handkerchief that one long fingered hand
holds often over his mouth as it often quirks into a wide grin:
these things make one wonder if this elf has ever seen hardship
or known an honest day's work. However, the image stops short
of being foppish only by the sheer presence of the wood-elf who
wears them. Quite tall for an elf, his chest is broad and deep,
his body strong looking and of very pleasing proportions. His
broad, open face is ivory skinned and quite fresh looking under
the armored headpiece typically worn. Dark brown hair that is
quite thick is pulled back in a neat que, curling carefully
over his collar. Fine eyebrows are drawn down slightly as the
alert black eyes sparkle with inner curiosity and spirit,
regarding the world with hungry intelligence. The full lips,
sensual and mobile, often quirked into a pleasing grin give
this elf a final devil-may-care disposition.
Role
How We Got Here

'For you see my dear child, not all victories occur on the battlefield.'
Said my father so long ago. He was a shrewd negotiator and had just secured vast
holdings of grain on the Open Plains to add to his already enormous holdings. I
was a spoiled brat at the time, some would say I still am, though for now I keep
sharp knives on hand to rectify such insults.
Growing up to learn the intricacies of aristocracy in the Evermoon Hollow was
torture to a young wood-elf boy. Manners, negotiations, business, noble
heritage. Don't get me wrong, I had plenty of entertainment and was allowed my
own whimsical and eccentric desires, but all the while I felt...trapped. For a
while there I was able to sneak into blade practice with the Evermoon Guard, but
it was quite the scandal when I was figured out and I was forbidden from ever
demeaning myself and my family like that ever again.
I dreamed of becoming a great fighter and winning duels of honor and skill. I
was mostly sheltered so these were the only battles I knew at the time. I would
soon quickly learn that real world battles are nothing like noble duels in
controlled environments.
'We're ruined.'
Two words spoken by my father that caused no small amount of dread at the time,
but I would realize later represented liberation and freedom.
I may never find out who my father undercut, shortchanged, or flat out cheated
that would cause such a great offense as what was taken. But the fact is someone
was motivated enough to higher a sorcerer of some sort to attack and kill all my
father's holdings and commodities in one fell swoop. I didn't really stick
around for the aftermath. With no holdings to inherent or tend to our family was
destitute and there was no reason for me to stay in the Hollow.
I joined a band of mercenaries for a while but that was a bit awkward. I guarded
a few caravans but that was boring. Here lately I've been wandering the wilds
and foraging, attempting to find my own battles and victories. Do I miss the
luxury? Yes, absolutely. Is it worth losing to have my own freedom and choices?
...I'll let you know later.
Character Traits
Added Fri Feb 2 10:57:41 2024 at level 26:
-He is vain. He sees himself as the best armsman in the lands though for now he
is far from it.
-He heard legends of the Battlerager Village saying that they were the worlds
strongest fighters. Having had his future livelihood destroyed by magic he has
sufficient reason to see it obliterated from the lands.
-He sees other races as beneath him. Growing up in the aristocracy did not do
his personalities any favors.
-He sees the natural world as primitive and though he will always be somewhat
tied to nature due to his heritage, he also sees things like the Outlander Tree
as a step backwards from progress as a culture. This is somewhat conflicting as
he still finds a natural sense of peace in the woodlands through his instincts.
-He seeks to prove his father wrong about his future. His father said there was
no good that could come from leaving Evermoon Hollow though their holdings and
fortunes were lost to them. Laureon seeks to make a name for himself as a brave
explorer and adventurer.
-Having grown up rich and without a care in the world, he sees himself deserving
of the finer things in life be they foods, weapons, or equipment. He sees no
issues in taking things from those lesser than he.
-Though not of the wilds he is wild. The constant pushing of his father towards
a civil and obedient life has led him to rebel against all forms of authority
whether aware of it or not.
The Villager
Added Mon Feb 12 10:34:08 2024 at level 36:
Having made his way into the Battlerager Village he experienced a bit of culture
shock. The locals tend to make fun of him for being a bit of a dandy and having
a very well decorated and upkept hut. He admires those around him for their
perseverance and makes notes to himself of their struggles. While he recognizes
his own ability and believes himself to be the best fighter the Village has seen
in ages, he also realizes the need for a unified village of strength and knows
he alone cannot lead an empty village to greatness.
He sees Magic as a terrible and deceptive crutch. He believes a world without
magic is the best way to determine true strength and that there is no such thing
as a talented mage.
He writes to his father of all his successes and sends him gold to rebuild his
own family name, though he cares not for such things. He forsook his own family
name and refers to himself, ironically, as something more tuned to nature.
Having spent time in the wilds he does admit to finding SOME measure of
relaxation among the quiet of the forests, though still sees it all as uncivil
and backwards thinking.
So he continues to strive within the Village, keeping his peers alive and hoping
to bring a touch of class and civility to it. He also seeks to remind others of
the fact they are living legends and the future has nothing but fame for
everyone should they be up to the tasks of mageslaying.
