Description

You see before you a tall female drow, short-cut her dark-gray hair grows wild on her head and frames a sharp and angeled face with two large violet eyes peering out beneath thin eyebrows, eyes of a predator. Her long and thin limbs seem to just barely support her body. Every bit of skin shown beneath her armor is covered with tattoos, white scars cut up most of the tattoos, some of them which seem to be old, others that seem new. All of the tattoos seem to picture different arachnids hunting different prey. She moves with the grace and confidence of a predator, and as you look further you see...

Role

The adventure begins

Six legs, thousands of eyes, stronger than a bear, quicker than a viper.
Spiders, the perfect hunters. No wonder her bloodline had always worshipped
them, deep down in the caverns of the underdark they were praised as holy
creatures. For as long as she could remember, Liantae had been facinated by
the creatures, following them wherever she could, asking the adults, the ones
she dared to ask, questions about the creatures and their goddess. All of her
youth she prayed to the spider godess and hoped that she'd one day become a
priest of hers. But she lacked the talents needed for it, she did however
have other talents, talents that didn't go unnoticed by her house, or anyone
else by that matter. She was fierce, as the other females children practiced
and were tutored to become mages or priests, Liantae was too absorbed by her
spiders to become a good student, her failures in her studies made the other
students mock her and her house to despise her. 
It did not take long until her family pulled her out from her studies and put
her in training to become a regular guard instead. Unfortunately she did not
excel here either, due to the same reasons. However this she did have an
affinity for, she prefered the daggers but the guardsmen prefered the sword
and thus she was forced to practice with this as well. 
Liantae suffered in the city, it's strict order and hiarchy did not suit her
well, and all she wanted to do was to study the spiders, just after a few
years she decided that she had enough and when the oportunity arose, she
snuck out, never looking back. She had heard of the spider forest, this was a
place that she must find but first she needed training, as soon as she
reached Hamsah Mu'tazz she asigned herself to the academy and was accepted...

A little bit about Liantae

Liantae is a girl looking for adventure, quite unlike the rest of her kin she
lacks any inherent taste for magic or order. She does however praise the
spiders and the spider godess, at least she think that she does. Her affinity
for spiders brought her out in the world and will keep her close to the
wilds. 
She never plans her day and everything she does is out of a whim. 
She will eventually realise that the spiders will need help, the wild needs
help, the world will need to burn. 
Once she finds out about the outlanders, she will seek them out. No doubt she
won't be making any friends there as she is not a very social person and the
only thing she does care about, are spiders. 
She prefers the swords and daggers, the daggers as they remind her spider
fangs, the swords, that's the only thing she actually brought with her from
Teth Azeleth.

Adapting to the world

A young thing woman, covered with scars and bruises stands before a grizzeled
brute of a giant, weaponry adorn the walls of this room that is a large open
space with a few practice dolls set up here and there. 

I thought that you would have chosen the daggers Liantae, the giant said. 

Yes, I do... But what one prefers from youth, and what one learns over years
of battles... What I prefer, is to see blood. Blood and death, and I will use
whatever tools that help me the most to bring this to the world the drow
replied. 

At first the giant glares at the drow, then a wide grin spreads on his face. 


It is not often Liantae, that I teach one of the weaker races this craft. But
you are not the first. You will see a lot of death using these tools for
certain, most likely your own. Come, I will show you how it's done. 

With those words, the giant walks over to the wall and snatches two axes from
the weaponstand and throws them to Liantae, then he picks up two for him
self. 

See, this is how you do it... 

The dull thuds of practice weapons spreads through the training area as the
large giants teaches the tiny drow how to make use of the oversized tools. 

Liantae has learned how to use the axes, as usual, she does what she pleases
and uses whatever tools she feels suits her best for the time being. No doubt
she will attempt to master other weapons as well as the need arises. 
Sometimes, she is as friendly as a scribe, sometimes, she's meaner than...
Well, she's as mean as most drow females. It all varies depending on her
feelings and needs for the day. She embraes the freedom she has, the freedom
she lacked in her upbringing. 

A sense of loyalty has snuck up upon her however, nothing that she is yet
concious about, but the tree has brought her endless of oportunities to give
her pleasure. She has learned how to bring forth fire to the cities,
construct nasty traps in the woods and how to ambush unsuspected prey. Just
like many spiders do. Her once infantile quest to "help the spiders" she has
realized is just a very small part in a large world, she doesn't really care
much for that, even though her facination for spiders still lingers, all she
really seek is the pleasure of destroying civilization and bringing death to
the world.

The spider queen?

Loud noises echoes through the woods, branches are being snapped, leaves
rusteled up as two small figures marches through the woods. Both seem to
struggle somewhat as they move through the underbrush of the woods, the
shorter of the two more than the other. As they move closer you see that the
shorter one is a robed dwarf with a thick beard, huffing and puffing as he
pushes through the woods, muttering to himself. The seal of the Tribunal can
be seen on his chest. 
The other figure, seem to be crouching and moves with a more elegant grace,
not like the one of a woodsman but something else. His eyes moves from tree
to tree and bush to bush as he grips his daggers tightly. 
Suddenly a slender figure materalizes itself from the bushes right in front
of them, driving two axes into the sides of the dwarf whom screams in panic.
His companion quickly tries to circle around the threat but is only met by
the edge of an axe and before either of the two assaulted realizes it, the
dwarf is looking down on his own intestants hanging out from his gut. 
Panic spreads across his partners eyes as he bolts for the tree-line... 

Liantae looks down on the bloody gore that once were the dwarf Regrag, she
lets her arms hang down her sides, letting the blood drip from her axes as
she looks up again to see the flickering of a mantle before Daphrdan
disapears out from the woods again. 
She lets a sigh pass her lips before she bends down, wiping her axes clean
from blood on the tribunal mantle. 

Always the same... The enemies comes in droves, dying one after another. And
yet, the biggest prey eludes, no, elude isn't even close, crushes her each
and every time she faces him. How can she be death's servant if she can't
kill them all? How can she be the queen spider, the Nightreaver of Thar-Eris,
the bane of civilization, if she can't even kill the greatest symbol of it? 
She has managed with more than she had ever thought, and yet... She is
outmatched by this... DUERGAR! 

She frowns and flips the body over, quickly skinning it and out of pure
routin creates a waterskin and sack of the poor dwarves body. 

I need to find a way! There has to be a way! If I am to be death, then I MUST
find a way! ANY way!

The spider queen? (Additional information)

Liantae can't settle with the success she has had, becoming Nightreaver was
an honor she gadly accepted, turning the small enclave of reavers into a hive
of predators has gone well, and yet she cannot be content. The Emperor of the
imperials, Jarlduz is to her, seemingly impossible to beat, everyone else
that might be tough, she knows what to do, and what not to do. But with him,
she cannot see a way. 
So, Liantae has begun looking, for ways to overcome this. She has found some
sort of pride in doing most things alone, not always, but most of the time.
So with this, she needs to find a way to kill this emperor alone. The
thoughts running in her head is clouding her judgement and for the time
being, it is possible for her to cross lines she normally would not. 
She will be examining religions and powers she would normally only frown
upon, looking for teachers, allies or bargains to become what she thinks that
she must become. Death. 

Only time will tell if she actually crosses any lines in her pursuit for
victory, or if she manages to find a way without making any lifealtering
decisions.
