Description
The stalwart presence of a celestial being graces your presence, a golden
hue of light enshrouding its form. His build is lean and muscular, a
testament to the physical fortitude he has built up over the years. Despite
being roughly six-feet in stature he remains lithe and graceful in manner,
an air of confidence and ease exuded by him. He is handsome in a way that no
human should be, each feature seeming meticulously planned by the divine.
Ashen brown curls frame his heart shaped face, hanging just to where his
forehead ends and thick eyebrows begin. Pensive silver eyes survey their
surroundings, giving off a faint glow that would mimic the cadence of one's
heartbeat. A perfect set of white teeth are revealed through a flashy smile,
full lips and a prominent cupid's bow only heightening his appeal. Chiseled
cheekbones and an aristocratic nose make up the rest of his striking face.
His garbs and wares mark him as a warrior by trade, his armament polished to
a level of shine and pristine; that matches his pride and devotion to his
craft. A charming yet witty air hangs around Lirozin as they plot their next
action.
Role
1. The Angel Batomel

Screaming into the material plane from the Elysian fields the angel known as
Batomel knew he had been called by dark souls, and was ready to try to burst
the circle and deliver the only peace evil can know which is death. The
moment he coalesced into being he knew something was horribly wrong, the
circle was a permanent construct made of gold, silver, and precious gems.
Drow magi stood around him all male and all chanting words of containment and
concealment. Batomel fought and raged against the circle but it didn't even
budge. After the magi were sure the angel was secure they all left him
without saying a word. After thirteen days without seeing a soul the angel
prayed to his god Whiysdan the lucky lord. A sense of peace overcame him and
the number thirteen echoed in his head twelve times. He knew it was an omen.
With his eyes closed basking in the touch of his lord the door opened and
they led in a 6 year old human child. The drow smiled sweetly at him and
offered him candy. The angel could see the purity and innocence radiating
from the cherubic boy.
The drow led him up to the edge of the circle and urged him to go hug the
shining angel. The angel smiled down at the child and held him in his arms.
The drow began to chant another spell. One of merging and souls becoming
one. The angel felt his body slip as his silver light got absorbed into the
skin of the boy. The angel knew his name was Ty and that he grew up in
galadon. Their souls merged as an Azure was born held captive in a circle of
power by the drow.
The next day the drow came and the angel learned what torture was. He put his
mind up front to protect the innocence of the child as they drained the light
from him. When they finished and he was left dim and panting he asked why.
They told him they would use his celestial magic to make themselves
impervious to the light and then use the light as a weapon to rule the
underdark and take back the drow city from the females. Left with that piece
of knowledge the angel saw the endless horror playing out in his mind. The
endless hosts they would bring as they drained the pure children of their
power.
2. Lirozin Abdul-Hafiz, the Sultans Grandson

1000 years later.
Lirozin Abdul-Hafiz was born the 13th son of the 13th son of the Sultan of
Hamsah Mu'tazz. His father, never close to being heir, was prone to lavish
strange expenditures using the wealth of the royal family. His father's
latest obsession was being a pirate and had raised his youngest son to speak
and act like a debonair swashbuckler. While commandeering boats of the coast
guard to use as his pirate ships he angered some real pirates who swore he'd
regret it.
Lirozin as a royal was raised to extravagance, trained in a hand to hand self
defense technique known to the bedouin as Dal Mak, and raised and trained
sleek desert horses and was most comfortable with a whip. He worshipped the
God Whiysdan only because he was born on the 13th day of the 13th month as the
13th son of the 13th son. His family always said Whiysdan had great plans
for him and would rub his head for luck, but he didn't really believe that
until the morning of his 13th birthday.
He prayed to Whiysdan that morning and said I hope you have big plans for me
Lucky Lord, when a voice spoke back in his head.
Happy Birthday lucky child, have no fear this day and a tortured soul may know
reprieve and redemption. All that will happen is the fate of the 13, keep
your joy and frivolity it will serve you well. The word thirteen echoing in
his head twelve times.
The voice faded, but the sense that something was missing grew in him.
Shortly after three pirates crawled into the window of his dressing chamber
and snatched him. He was so excited thinking that a grand birthday adventure
by his father, he never considered he was really being kidnapped.
The ransom note was sent out the moment he was taken, but his father's pirate
friends told him real pirates don't ransom, so he said no. Lirozin was then
sold to seemingly kindly drow slavers, it was all part of the birthday
adventure Lirozin thought.
3. The 13th Host

They took him within the underdark to a strange house and took him before the
Angel held within the circle. The moment their eyes locked the word thirteen
echoed in their minds for the thirteenth time. Their arms raised as if of
their own accord, the angel within the boy without, their fingers brushing at
the edge of the circle and the Angel of Whiysdan instantly became one with his
13th host Lucky Lirozin. The sense that something was missing was gone
instantly as they merged, and the child understood the horrible danger they
were in.
Lirozin lashed out with fingers pointed like blades into the throat of the
nearest drow mage as the child began falling into Dal Mak. Picking up a
sacrificial bowl he brained another. The newly born Azure brought death to
every living thing in the House, picking up whatever was at hand to kill with.
When the righteous rage subsided, he roamed the underdark running near
endlessly from the creatures that saw his silver glow. He ran for so long the
Angel within giving him energy so he wouldnt stop running, he grew lean, and
his legs grew strong before he found his way to daylight and down the river to
Voralian City.
The Angel within him was nearly broken and Lirozin begged sanctuary within the
guild of Paladins. They accepted the Azure-touched without question tending
his wounds, during which they noticed his legs were thicker and stronger than
a dwarf. The power of the Angel had settled there the Elder Paladins decided.
Lirozin took to the shield clutching it to him as a comfort object and he saw
a nobleness within the Code that made him think the world could be better.
But the Paladins noticed the burning rage within Lirozin over mages,
especially conjurers. They counseled him to temperance, but the millennia of
rage within the Angel made it difficult. One day as an elf past by the guild
an Angel bound to the will of the elf made eye contact with Lirozin who then
began screaming at the conjurer.
He was asked quietly to leave the guild of Paladins and left with a shield on
his back. Roaming the streets of Voralian City till he came to the Warrior
Guild to beg entrance to teach him to fight Magi. The guildmaster had never
taught an Azure before and decided to take on the challenge asking him what
weapon he would focus his training upon. The only one Lirozin knew was whips
and the Dal Mak training to use his hands. The guildmaster assured him that
they could be most potent weapons. Lirozin grew close with his mentor and
told the guildmaster of his past and the guildmaster told him of the Village
of battleragers who all for one reason or another fight against Magic. So
Lirozin sought them out to become a defender of the Village, he seeks to do
good with his life as the Angel within worries of his soul because of all the
foul things done with his magic. Now he seeks out the Lucky Lord to meet the
God that changed his life.
