A short and stumpy figure is before you, barely reaching three feet in height. Clad in an assortment of skins and pelts, this burly deep gnome possesses an air of intensity and savagery, the blood staining his armor appearing both ancient and fresh. Crowned with a mane of ivory-white dreadlocks, they weave and flow to extend into a surly beard that reaches just past his pot-bellied waist. Cerulean eyes both hawkish and sharp survey the world with a profound sense of wisdom and witty intelligence, as if carefully examining each and every small detail around them. You notice his skin is an odd shade of searing crimson, dotted and marred with countless lacerations and scars.

A Chance Encounter? (Part 1/2)

Born of modest origins in the halls of Lower Cragstone to hard-working
parents among the working caste of svirfneblin, Lohakahn DarkRock was
afforded a mundane and traditional childhood. It was only in adolesence
that the young boy Lohakahn would truly start to deviate from his peers,
showing advanced prowess for his age in the martial forms of combat. 
Training until the ripe age of twenty-seven, he would be tasked and
assigned as a part of a scouting unit that would scower the bowels of
the Underdark in search of new rich precious ore veins. His life would
become a routine for the next decade, until one fateful day... everything
changed.

Breathing heavily as his chest heaves in and out under exhaustion, a
sweat-riddled svirfnebli of venerable age looks sidelong to a much
younger deep-gnome, covered in blood.

"Ya okay, lad?" the surly and aged svirfneblin barks at the youngster.

Smirking and nodding once, the younger svirfnebli simply gets up and
starts to quicken his stride as a fork of lightning strikes a rock
near where they were crouched.

Just as the aged svirfneblin gets up to follow after the younger of
the two, a shower of stone appears from nowhere and suddenly pummels
him to the ground. As the rain of falling earth subsides, the crushed
body of the elder svirfnebli is seen, twitching a few times as his
life ends.

Glancing with hesitation over his shoulder, the younger svirfnebli
cringes before looking straight ahead. . . only to see a massive
behemoth of a behir looking straight at him, it's serrated-toothed
maw snapped wide open. A blast of lightning suddenly pulsates from
it as the young svirfnebli seizes a deep breath in his chest. It
sends him hurling into the opposite wall, his body erupting in 
violent spasms under the duress of so much electricity.

Invisible to all, an ancient and demonic spirit of Fury stands idle
as he watches the ongoing battle between drow and svirfnebli with
evident interest. Appearing as a deep-gnome with pulsating crimson
skin and a shock of ivory-white hair, he scratches at his chin before
his lips quirk open as a toothy grin.

A voice suddenly throbs in the back of Lohakahn's mind*

"I will give you but one chance, Lohakahn of the Ancient DarkRock
Bloodline. So decide quickly. You have been blessed by the Gods with
the form of Ro-Dar-Rok, a lineage of BattleRagers which have long
been created to sunder the defilers and destroyers of Thera. I am
Fo-Har-Tak, or as many mortals refer to us, a spirit of fury and rage.
Allow me to enter and combine my essence with your own, together we
will crush this arcane sorcerors and any other a defiler that will 
stand before our terrible wrath. Yes or no, Lohakahn?"

Without mind to really even consider the implications of his decision,
Lohakn simply nods his head in agreement. A torrent of energy suddenly
swirls and magnifies as a violent surge enters the broken form of 
Lohakahn.

"Fo-Har-Tak" -- The Ancient Spirit of Fury and Rage (1/2)

"Cry Fury and let the Earth shatter before me! Let no mithril stand 
before the reckoning of these hammers!"

These are the words that flow from the bleeding lips of Lohakahn as
he rises to his feet, violently twisting out his neck in a grotesque
fashion. Blinking suddenly with an expression that seems clearly man-
like and sentient in nature, the massive scaled beast staggers back
a step, evidently confused.

"For ten thousand years I 'ave waited for you blasted drow to bring me
a kinsman o'the pure line. Today me friend, ya will see the error o'your
kind ever imprisoning me in this tomb." barks the now red-skinned form
of Lohakahn, his hair suddenly growing and turning into a savage mane
of gnarled dreadlocks.

Seized with a sudden fit of anger as a drow donned in colorful robes
arrives to send a spray of iceshards at him, the form of Lohakahn reaches
into the earth before it yields and forms a pair of clubs fashioned from
the stone itself. The shards mostly glance off his poorly-armored form,
some puncture him as a knife would, remaining lodged in place, but it
does little to phase the red-skinned svirfneblin in the slightest.

Trying to capitilize on the situation as the form of Lohakahn suddenly
readies the new hammers he created from the earth underfoot, the behir
leaps forward and tries to claw and gash with its many arms a few times
before leaping back to unleash another powerful blast of lightning.

This time Lohakahn simply braces himself and extends the clubs formed
of stone as a X in front of his chest. The lightning blasts around his
form as if he were shielded from it, to spray and die out against the 
opposing cavern walls.

"Tsk. Tsk." is the only response of Lohakahn as he pivots and turns
to face the colorful-robed invoker. With a twist of his upperbody he
launches one of the clubs to catch the invoker straight in the jaw,
a deathblow that literally sends pieces of skull and flesh flying
through the air.  

A look of horror spreads across the features of the behir as he
suddenly twists and forms the shape of a dark-elf.

"Hrzzrah" he intones incorrectly, attempting to teleport.

Leaping in the air as the once-behir and now drow tries to escape
with a spell, the form of Lohakahn sends another wailing blow, 
this time into the leg of the drow. It sends the dark-skinned
elf to the ground in a heap of moaning agony.

"Take this to the Inferno wit' ya drow. I am waitin' for them 
demons an' devils to work for the Magi again. I am relishin'
the day I carve'm up. Thera will know me pain. Thera will 
remember the old pact." barks the svirfneblin as he angles
a club fashioned from rock down at the drow.

"Fo-Har-Tak" -- The Ancient Spirit of Fury and Rage (2/2)

"Ain' it a bitch?" the svirfneblin simply grins as he lowers
the club directly into the skull of the drow, ending his life
instantly.

Possessed now with the ancient spirit of fury and rage, Lohakahn
is entirely consumed by this powerful force and is bent to act
simply as a host, with the Fo-Har-Tak controlling him entirely.
It is a spirit that has walked and consumed mortals since it 
fell victim to the original betrayal at the turning of the 
First Age, it recants lifetimes of pain and anguish suffered
at the hands of the arcane. It also remembers and obides to the
oldest and strictest of BattleRager doctorine.

The Beliefs of Lohakahn DarkRock

Known as a entity of Rage and Fury amongst even the most elder of
BattleRagers now, Fo-Har-Tak or Lohakahn Darkrock as he most commonly
referred to as has forged himself as a protector and guide to those
would take up the mantle against the arcane arts. Possessed of intense
convictions towards particularly older philsophies, many of which seen
as ancient relics amidst a new breed of Enemies, he has firm belief in
the following tenants. 


1) If a BattleRager, whether Light or Dark is struck by overwhelming 
enemy forces and is being actively hunted, the BattleRager is to be 
aided by equal or less number in BattleRagers when engaging and disposing 
of said roving war-parties and attempted ambushes.

2) A BattleRager may invoke the right to adequately defend himself from
an enemy which continually launches surprise attacks against a BattleRager.
This may involve striking them on sight to prevent whatever strategy they
might desire to employ against the BattleRager. A BattleRager should use 
this notion modestly and never allow it to deter one from true focus on the 
arcane.

3) A BattleRager or more than one may make example of those attempting to 
pick off weaker BattleRagers in the ruins of Ostagaliath as opposed to face 
those of real repute. If repeated warnings go unheeded, full force can be
used to dissuade enemies from using the ruins as a staging ground for future
assaults.


While many believe each BattleRager should fight his own personal battles,
allowing enemy forces a chance to strategize and devise clever ambushes,
Lohakahn see's in the old testament of true brotherhood. Where Parity was
not only a Creed followed from within, but one that also bonds brothers and
sisters as more than just a pack of hunters. As true kin. Intent on trying
to bring more of the Village to his beliefs, he continues to stride forward
day in and out, intent on fufilling his destiny as Fo-Har-Tak.
