Description
A bewitching presence holds you transfixed before you settle in on the lithe
elven figure of Loravyre. Bottomless eyes of amethyst seem to regard
everything and nothing all at once, with a piercing gaze that unsettles you.
Her beauty looks almost otherworldly, every detail intricately crafted like
a painter with a portrait or a sculptor with a statue. Fierce concentration
colors her otherwise doll-like features; comprised of a heart-shaped face,
full lips, and a tiny button nose. Meticulously groomed hair, like a rushing
river of silver, cascades down her back, with vigor all its own. While her
body does not tell the story of an athlete, it does hint at her bloodline,
known for its grace and agile strength. You can see from the way she carries
herself that she is graceful, regal, and intentional with her appearance and
the message it conveys.
More fascinating than her features is the story her clothing tells.
Immediately, you are reminded of a fortune teller, hinted at by the fine
silks and fabrics that adorn and hug her body. Gossamer and filigree
patterns reveal flawless skin of ivory, which seems to reveal just enough-
Synched to her robe are tomes, scrolls, and flasks no larger than her fist,
with a large axe and net kept at her back. Her crimson colored nails are
adorned with various jewels that seem to give off the faint glow of arcanic
light. At the center of the storm that makes up the beautiful appearance of
Loravyre is a strange brooch shaped like a coyote head. Upon further notice
you note that-
Role
The Omen of Ash and Shadows.

The scene functioned as a grounding point for Loravyre, a permanent reminder
of the pending doom that would come if she were not careful. There was a
certain naivety that colored her expression as she studied the man before her.
He was dark, not just in features of chestnut hair and sunken eyes of
brown-but in the aura he exuded. An aura of magic that was tinged with
sinister intention. All the same, Loravyre of the past respected all customers
the same. For the right price, a vision would be shared...regardless of
whether she agreed with how you chose to live your life.
The room was cluttered with baubles and gaudy figures of varying magical
mystiques and lore. Some of the items were former payments from previous
interactions, and others were beautiful possessions she found along the way.
Loravyre was a lifelong student of magic, a firm believer that all things
could find an answer within the realm where science ended and magic began.
Perhaps it played a part in why this man sought her out, beyond her talents,
magic seemed to love her-magnetically attracted to her very being.
The scene was no longer a suspended image, but a living memory, set between
the mysterious man and Loravyre. With the payment now placed within a
jewel-encrusted box, she extended her hand to take his in hers. His face was
devoid of expression, and his eyes seemed to focus on something beyond her or
the room that they were in. While this unsettled Loravyre, she stifled the
feelings and began her divination.
It took but a moment to realize something was off. As she tried to call upon
her magic, something she had done as easily as one would draw breath. An
overwhelming flood of power and unbridled destruction eclipsed the feelings
that typically followed tapping into her magic. The space rapidly shifted,
dissolving into darkness. It took a moment for her eyes to resettle on the
horrific image devoid of color and life.
Ash and shadows seemed to cloak the debris of once-grand buildings and
landscapes. Blackened flames gave off a gray-hued light that revealed figures
of monstrous beasts and amalgamations of her worst nightmares. As she
attempted to scream, no sound was permitted to leave, and in its place was
excruciating pain as her insides ruptured in two.
What felt like an eternity finally shifted, and the familiarity of the room,
color, and regrounded Loravyre, whose body revolted against the experience. In
the place of the man, who once sat before her, was the emptiness of his
disappearance and a note scrawled with the words "HEED" upon it. She
understood now that it was not a vision but an omen-one that shook her to her
core.
Breakdown on Loravyre.
Added Mon Jun 30 15:16:03 2025 at level 36:
*She was once a fortuneteller who shifted her calling after receiving an omen
that shook her to her core.
* She believes the vision spelled out the end of times, and knew she had to do
something about it.
* Joining the Fortress fit her goals well as an Acolyte who could prepare
others for what she witnessed, while learning from those who have dedicated
their lives to protecting the light.
* While she believes in being the shield to defend, she also has a fiery
spirit that believes in protecting on the frontlines. If she could stand as a
bulwark of defense beside her brothers and sisters, she could assure they
would return to fight another day.
* Her vision is purposefully left open, to lead her down the path of believing
this vision is a direct reflection of the Scion Prophecy. Still, I want there
to be a mid-character shift where she realizes it is bigger than that. The
veil is being manipulated by an evil entity, not just to destroy magic but
also to undermine life as a whole.
* Throughout her life, I want her personality and mannerisms to mirror those
of an archon-a bit more aloof, wise, subduing personal emotion in the
protection of the Light.
* She believes in using her magical abilities and visionary talents to reveal
the truth and illuminate the wicked.
*She hopes she can conduct research alongside her Lord Zizaerix, who she
believes is a functioning tether to never lose herself in the pursuit of
protecting the light or understanding magic.
The Lady at the Loom.
Added Sat Jul 5 12:14:52 2025 at level 51:
The vision was clear.
A woman favoring Loravyre sat at a loom, her hair silver and touching a wooden
floor. She seemed to be a weaver, humming a tune as she worked upon her loom.
What brought goosebumps to Loravyre was that this woman seemed to be weaving
together motes of magic, not threads of silk or any other known fabric. How
was she doing this? WHY was she doing this?
Questions flooded Loravyre's mind but almost as in response, the woman turned
to regard Loravyre. Her presence...domineering, with haunting eyes that have
seen far too much and still yearned for more truth.
*You are young yet-child. But within you is everything needed to be a champion
of truth. Much of the realms are stitched together by lies-*
*My child it is our DUTY to rip those lies apart with truth. Let evil's fickle
forms of deception be laid bare to the masses.*
Loravyre simply listened, transfixed by the presence in front of her and the
amount of magic that pulsated off this woman. She didn't just speak truth- she
was truth.
*You are not just the revealer but the purifier and it is important that you
remember this. For if you do not heed my words-*
Her voice faded away and the vision disintegrated before her eyes, leaving
Loravyre with only a view of the Watcher who seemed to watch her closely.
Concerned. Not just for her, but what she had seen.
Temperance: Restraint by another name.

It has been a week since the fatal incident against my Brother, Oots. Gathered
within a proverbial circle of protection, I have taken time to sit with my
reflection and the hard truths. While we are mortals and mistakes surely
happen, and the comfort of my brothers and sisters has reflected such, there
is always room for growth. I seek to be a protector to ALL of the light, from
the newborn babe to the eldest elf. This does not come without trust, and from
this incident, I have learned I cannot call myself a protector if restraint is
not at the forefront of my mind when I enter the battlefields alongside my
allies.
By factoring in the possibilities of failure and preparing for them, I can
ensure the margin of error remains small, if not nonexistent altogether. I
have been blessed with great power, magic that loves me as much as I love
it...but it is all for naught- if I cannot temper it to protect those I have
vowed to. I pray that if this is a moment that must break me to reform me
anew, may I have the foresight to rebuild myself as a better image of Light's
grace, mercy, temperance, and wisdom.
I Loravyre Li 'Tessine, vow to use my truths as a teachable lesson to all of
the light who will hear it. May my words and wisdom be a soothing balm for us
all as we march onward.
May I never grow stagnant.
Truth is my Light.

Veritas Lux Mea: Truth is my Light
Taking a moment to reflect in the bitter cold of the snow-covered ledge,
Loravyre looked inward, alchemizing every experience, memory, title, and word
of wisdom that was poured upon her life like a soothing balm. With the eyes
she possessed now, it was easy to see that the woman on the loom was not just
her but an amalgamation of all that had touched her life. From Lord Zizaerix,
Ivory, her brothers and sisters of the fortress, and the countless friends she
met along the way. The fabric of magic she wove was not about fate, as
Loravyre once believed, but a fabric of pure elemental radiance. A creation
that was imbued with the love she was given, the defeats she had suffered, and
the triumphs that shaped her into the woman she was today.
By recognizing herself, her truth, in its entirety, she was bequeathed the
responsibility of Elder Prophet and also a fully fledged member of the Order
of Veritas. These responsibilities did not frighten her; instead, they humbled
her deeply. She was back to being of service, as she once was as a
fortune-teller, but this time, it was to the Light and, most importantly, on
her terms. She exhaled deeply, expelling a plume of frosted breath, as Ivory
joined her as a comfort in this life and hopefully the next. She recognized
that it was not just her who took on these responsibilities, but Ivory as
well. Loravyre vowed upon that snow-covered ledge, with words bound by magic,
that her mind, body, and soul would continue to serve the Light.
-She prayed for the quickness to listen before speaking, as truth was
discernible in the words of others.
-She prayed for continued patience, to alchemize the sorrow, anguish, and
anger of her brothers and sisters and turn it into tempered wrath and
collective wisdom.
-She prayed for continued gratitude as Sister Cardinal had taught her, for she
was alive and still had breath to draw.
-She prayed for an indomitable spirit that could bear the burden of loss and
grief, so that those of the Light were never forgotten, nor were their stories
or their truths.
-She prayed for continued discernment on how to reach the wicked she
encountered, whether it was via respect on the battlefield or finding the
right words to soothe the pain that led them astray.
-Lastly, she prayed that her magic, potent and powerful, would continue to
serve the Light using her as a conduit of its greatness. And that she may pay
these gifts forward to all the young magi she would encounter. Teaching them
lessons that they too could pass on, adding to the fabric of radiance she
actively wove.
