Description

A young woman, beautiful by conventional standards, steps out of the shadows. Her hair are dark but filled with silver threads. A wavy lock is falling across her face and obscuring it somewhat. She is tall and charming. But her skin is very pale and dry just like if she was drained in some way. Her grey eyes are serene, but if you stare at her, you can notice that left one is filled with blood just like if few bloodvessels were damaged in a combat. Nonetheless, the elfin shape of her face and the pale pink of her lips combine with her eyesin an aescetically pleasing result.

She was born in the Desert City. Her father was a city jail guard and
mother - one of the street whores which usually comes from 
nearest settlements to Hamsah Mu'tazz after easy money. Her 
parents named her Lyeine Kaireven. Lowlifes barely took care about 
their daughter and once Lyeine grew up enough to understand 
she's nothing but burden for her parents she ran away from her 
home to never come back.

Life on the streets is the best teacher ever. She literally fought for 
her life on daily basis and this obviously had a direct impact on her 
perception of environment, surrounding people. Any feelings like 
compassion and mercy are completely alien to her. She experienced 
no love starting from very childhood. This huge gap was replaced 
with intense hatred. She hated life itself, it's unfairness.  
Somebody's pain often causes only evil grin on her pretty face 
because nothing could compete with the Pain she kept in her heart 
like the most precious treasure. This Pain was the only driver and 
motivating thing in her life. The Pain keeps her alert all the time and 
saved her life numerous times. Streets made her probably not 
physically strong but swift and tricky. The Pain made her a weapon.

Lyeine hates people. Because of her past and kind of psychological 
early childhood trauma, the vengeance to the life itself becomes 
kind of obsession for her. Most likely she would rather kill everyone 
on sight unless she's caballed with them or those people are still 
useful to she could become deadly even more.

She won't talk to anyone about her past but most likely will tell 
various easy-to-forget stories just to avoid the truth.

She is arrogant and treats others with scorn.

Empire: In and Out.

Her induction into the Empire was mostly an accident rather than 
planned action. She was seeking the source of deadly knowledge 
and skill improvement. That time the way of the Shadow Sect 
matched her wishes at its best.

Lyeine was trained by the most skillful of the shadows of that time - 
Urjasa. And when through masterful intrigues he finally managed to 
win the race and became Emperor, Urjasa granted her the sit of 
Shadow Lord. That was an unexpected move for Lyeine. It took 
some time and several failures for her to learn how to rule the most 
powerful Sect of the Empire. 

Being Shadow Lord Lyeine witnessed the fall of Urjasa.. then was 
the short time of crazy duergar Zaralv who respected deadly impact 
of Shadow Sect in endless battles much.. and finally she made a 
mistake. Well, that was a risky plan which actually failed - she 
helped the weakest of the Council (Grunkul) to become Emperor. 

Lyeine knew that time she wasn't able to win the race and her plan 
was to aid this weakling to ascend the throne and later influence 
Emperor's decisions and actions through fear and dependence on 
Shadow Sect's power. 

But she underestimated his fear which became paranoid - weak 
duergar was too afraid of Lyeine's authority in the Empire which 
became so obvious that simply couldn't be controlled anymore. 
And one day, with hysterical scream from very hidden place: "The 
throne will be mine forever! I do not like all I hear from so many!" - 
he cowardly banished her out of the Palace.

Does this made a former Shadow Lord upset? Not really. The name 
of the true Empress is well known and those who kneel down will 
probably survive.
