Description

Pointy ears suggests that what you see before you is not human. Heterochromatic eyes eyes shine with the crimson and amber glow of the fireflies and cats. As with most of her kind, she is well tanned, suggesting that she spends a great deal of time out in the sun. Large, arcane runes are tattooed all over her arms and legs, ones that are not commonly found in the travelling magi guilds of Thera - strange, given that her kind is not known to dabble much in magic. She is clad in light robes and wears a veil, not unlike those that hail from lands of sandy dunes.

Origins

Mahinya was captured from her home in the Evermoon Hollow by the trail
bandits in Aratouldain. Thereafter, she was traded amongst slavetraders, used
and abused, and finally ended up in the hands of dark mages who tried to use
her as a sacrifice to enter the Plane of Shadow.

the Ritual

Years passed as Mahinya was prepared to be used as the sacrifice. Her body
was tattooed and scarred beyond recognition. Malnourished and perpetually
abused, she had barely any strength to resist. The day had come for the
ritual, and she was barely conscious. By the luck of the Gods, the ritual had
gone awry. Instead of opening a portal to the Plane of Shadow, the mages
opened a portal to a realm of demons. In an ironic role reversal, mages, who
had previously wanted to enter the realm of shadows found themselves
desperately trying to escape, as hordes of demons poured out from the portal,
overruning them, savagely feeding on the mana that pulsed through their
bodies. Mahinya met the gaze of one of them, ready to die. The demon gave a
brief glance at her worthless body, devoid of anything of value and proceeded
to go after more worthy prey.

Mahinya awoke in the shifting sands. Surprised she was still alive, she
mustered her strength and wandered, until she finally crossed some roads into
a Holy Grove, where she fell unconscious again.

Personality

Mahinya has a unpredictable personality. Perhaps it is the trauma that she
has suffered all her life. She can swing from being quite cheery to deadpan
to unbridled rage. She hates mages who abused her and magic in general.

Mahinya the Warrior

Mahinya was saved from the jaws of death by the denizens of the Holy Grove.
She slumbered, comatose, for 20 years before she finally awoke, finding
herself in a world entirely unfamiliar to her. She learnt to speak, walk,
forage, and found herself communing with nature, along with the other
denizens of the Holy Grove. However, deep in her heart her rage remained, and
deep in her body, the scars of her past could never be erased. She tried to
join the adventuring guilds of the Druids and Rangers, but was told that
Nature itself was uncomfortable with aligning itself too close to her, for
she carried with her remnants from another plane. Knowing that her life was
not to be spent entirely in the Grove, she left and found herself enrolling
in the warriors' guild of BlackClaw.

First Blood of a Mage

Searching for a mage to prove herself and exact her first taste of revenge,
Mahinya had hunted for many moons. With the powers of magic, many of her prey
hid from her eyes, and she had to be patient, and tactical. Finally, she
chanced upon a magical elk. A shapechanger no doubt, in disguise. She ran up
to the elk as it was murdering orphans, bludgeoning it with her flaming
silver chain and silver scepter, until it turned into a lifeless, charred
corpse. Mahinya looked over the corpse with glee. Revenge, she thought for a
moment. But no. It was not. It was purpose. It was strength. Life had spit
her out from the jaws of death and imbued her with a mission. The corpse was
a but a means to cut off magic from the land, so that none would ever abuse
the powers ever again.

Mid-life Musings

As she fought, some battles she won, some battles she lost. She thought about
many things. Fallen comrades, savage enemies. She steeled herself after each
fight, not being complacent in her wins, and not faltering in the face of
defeat. As she advanced, she found herself using more strange weapons, and
she finally settled in specialising in whips and flails.

Soul of the Mountain

'I am living on borrowed time anyway', I thought. The corruption grows within me.
'Then I will lend you more. But note that this is but a loan. You cannot die yet.'
Awoke, I found my body strangely strengthened with the mountains.

Legend of the Battlefield

As the last storm giant falls, I take a deep breath as I ascend into the 
Legends of the Battlefield. It has been 200 years since the demons, yet 
it still feels like yesterday. Even now, voices speak to me about my 
borrowed time. The village is not strong. I have little time to strengthen it. 
I will do my best to ensure that my time spent here is well worth it.

Defense of the Village

The Emperor Drogathar has declared the bloody head as property of the Empire. I have
had difficulty defending and reclaming it, but as I rise into the legends, I feel
stronger, to the point where I have managed to plant my staff into the ground and
drive away his hegemony. I can only hope to advance further in my skills and
training, and one day drive my staff straight through his torso.

Future of the Village

Having wandered most of my life as a sole battlerager, I have
taken it upon myself equip all of the next generation to aid 
their journey, if they would accept it. The future is in the 
youth. The village will be strong. Some days I feel the corruption
stronger, and my body pains and flails, yet on other days I
surge with blazing energy. I do not know how much time I have 
left, but I hope to see a glorious village before I close my
eyes for the final time.

Fending off the Emperor

I've fought the Emperor and lost many times, but I think I now have a good strategy. Taunting has its uses as well.
The Emperor is prideful, and is much embarrassed he could not claim my head today. If I am aggersive and pressure him, he is bound ot break.

Mahinya is quite... sad? the Emperor Drogathar decided to abdicate the throne.
She no longer has a chance to best him. He was a strong warrior. Mahinya
learned many things fighting with him, and has never bested him before.

Slaying the Gnome, Gualnok, I found a familiar piece of equipment. The
strange bracers. I took the armor and brought it to the forge, sending 
it back to the abyss... for now. Perhaps it will be reforged, and once
again used for nefarious purposes. But such is life. I hope to be around
and learn how to remove it once and for all.

Mutual Destruction

It was an epic battle, thirsting into Druktars and nightwalkers. Viera
was thirsty for battle, and so was I. It was down to the wire, and 
it was time for a tactical disengagement. Viera smelled blood. So did
I. Ultimately I smashed her head in with the staff of the Cobra,
and in return, I fell to poison shortly after, once again feeding her
dreaded mace. I will fall soon, but I suppose pieces of me would live
on in that weapon. I'll destroy that weapon soon enough. She said it 
was big, but apparently it was still not that big a threat.
