Description
This old man's hair is a ragged white mess of curls, sharp metal
trinkets strung throughout it, and he sports a sparse white and gray
goatee cropped close along his chin. His eyes are blue, clear despite
his age, but his skins is marred by liver spots. Lines of fading
tattoos crawl their way from the back of his hands to his shoulders.
He wears loose clothing, for comfort, movement, or show, you
cannot be sure. He carries himself in some sort of swagger, slightly
loopy, as though he were drunk or spent too long out in the sun, and
there is a flash of a wicked grin from beneath the tangled mess of
hair.
Role
Overall

This is overdue, but I'll try to give some sense to my character's actions.
I am trying to play this character as a sort of "pirate roaming the
woodlands." Not as an "arrggh matey" sort of pirate, but a roaming brigand
looking for fat merchantmen and spoils and steering wary of the more
well-armed miliant frigates kind of pirate.
Along those lines, I'm hoping to maintain a seesaw relation with Imperials,
allying with the ones I need to, milking treasures off the ones I don't. Decent
relations with the Scion, as they seem to be outside the boundaries of
normal "society." Decent with the Sylvan, who are the true "protectors" of
Malkhar's oceans, and an outlook of booty against the others.
On Lies

A lot of what my character will say is entirely contradictory. It is
not because he tries to be everything at once, but because he tries to
be everything he needs to be to survive at that moment.
He will manipulate anyone he can, as much as he can, unless more can be
achieved through direct action than manipulation.
This means you might see my character presenting himself as a Warder to
some in explanation for why he attacked them, or others with them that he
could not attack. (Just as an example.) Or my character might outwardly
aid someone useful, but then linger in the woodlands when that person
desperately needs help, but it is dangerous to give it.
The character is very self involved, and the thing he is most greedy
for is his own freedom.
Mid-age crisis and Malkhar
Added Tue Dec 2 16:22:06 2003 at level 50:
Malkhar has entered into middle age and taken stock of his life.
Forty-four years of waylaying the weak and pushing down the Fortress,
and nothing to show for it. The Imperials simply rose up in the Fortress'
stead, and Malkhar is as alone and broke as ever. No family, no
great accomplishments, nothing. His greed for wealth aside, he is
driven by a new need he can hardly express.
He has spoken with the Sylvan Captain about "getting in touch with
nature," and is presently seeking to serve the Grove, hoping to fulfill this
new emptiness he feels. This task will, of course, be difficult given his
difficulty with keeping to one task and sphere Greed, but there it is.
