Description

A small feminine humanoid stands here, diminutive in form and shrouded by a large cowled robe. Despite her hooded and introverted appearance there is a benevolent look in her eyes. Her face is stoic and plain, with a few freckles and green eyes, wisps of light brown hair curl out from within her cowl and the peaks of two pointed ears belie her elven heritage. Her robes seem arcane in nature and while there is a weapon hanging at her waist, it seems ill used compared to the various wands and magical implements seen poking out from various folds and pockets that dot her robes, visible at a closer inspection. She walks with the silent step of her kin and moves with an easy, quiet confidence as she steadily goes about her way.

Merithila's Beliefs

Merathila Aiveyla was a young elven girl who lived on the outskirts of 
Darsylon. As she grew up, he attunement to the veil showed itself and she 
was shown to have some magical talent. With this, her family guided her 
into Darsylon to study more. Under the practiced hand of Darsylon's 
tutors, she learned her basic cantrips, the spells that all magi know, 
and then under further guidance she showed an astonishing affinity for 
the elements.

This led her to enroll in the Invoker's guild, but this affinity for the 
elements would also expose her to Thar-Eris itself. As she studied the 
elements further, and delved deeper into the raw, primal forces of Thera, 
she began to be more in tune with Thera herself. It was through this 
continued study that she began to since the forces eroding and corrupting 
Thar-Eris, or Thera.

Furthermore, her magic and the elements were a faucet she could not shut 
off. She found herself delving ever deeper into the forces that make up 
Thera, the true elements, and she reached a point where she knew she the 
call must be heeded. With that, she took to the wilds, and has found 
herself as a Sunwarden amongst the Tree. This is a duty she considers 
most important.

She hunts the enemies of the tree, with the exception of those of light, 
as she feels that these souls can still hear Thar-eris's cries and are 
quite redeemable. Although if tribunals of the light strike at the Tree 
she has no issue defending the Tree, although she is more likely to aim 
to rebuff them rather than slay them, but she will not allow the Huntress 
to be slain.

She is hesistant to raid the Spire if others of the Light are employed 
and awake, as that cost may be too great. It is her belief that she must 
use the primal forces of nature, the elements, to help break free the 
various bedsores and corrosive actions of Thera, specifically the Scions, 
the Imperials. And of course the primary enemies of Sunwardens- the 
undead and those who petition with them.

Merathila: Personality. Hunting. Teaching.

Merathila is cold, and while she has some friends in the Fortress, and 
she is cordial to them, she is wary of them living in a stone tower. This 
is especially true of the Paladins, Thieves and Assassins. She counts 
some of the wilder magi among their number her friends, though, 
particularly Lifrella and Sena.

Her high affinity for rock, ice and water has rubbed off on her, in her 
mind, and she tries to be stoic, and she likens herself to a winter storm 
or something similar. Cold and cleansing.

In light of being called 'bloodwarden' and the 'bloodthirstiest elf', 
Merathila thinks it prudent to more clearly define who she hunts, and 
why.

As mentioned before, Merathila hunts defilers and the civilized servants, 
per the second and third tenets of the Bark. Orcs, undead, Scions, 
Imperials and non-goodly Tribunals. Merathila will not strike with the 
Spire if there are goodly servants of tribunal in her way, as she does 
not wish to come to blows with another of the Light, and while she'll 
defend the Tree her tactics against those of the light will be to 
dissuade, not to kill in a lethal fashion.

Merathila will also hunt those of the balance who choose to aid the above 
groups while they actively do so. She does not travel with Heralds, due 
to the frequency that they assist evil tribunals, Scions and Imperials, 
but she does not hunt them unless they are actively assisting defilers or 
servants of the civilized. Too often do unaffiliated neutral folk use the 
guise of neutrality to think themselves free of consequence. And while it 
may anger some, neutral is not good. And Merathila has no qualms killing 
a herald while they help an Imperial and wicked lawman grow. Something 
that Tamurah clearly had an issue with.

Merathila also, on a lower priority than the above, will hunt villagers 
who are not pure of heart. Due to them being sworn to kill her, Merathila 
considers it best to be proactive in clearing them out of the way.

After a chat with Ergush, Merathila has taken it upon herself to be 
better at espousing the fifth tenet of the Outlanders. This is something 
important, because Merathila realizes her bloodwarden reputation and 
wants to still be a beacon of guidance, not just harsh cleansing. 
Particularly when it comes to the recent spire defector, Zenthian. To 
this end she has discussed the five tenets of the bark with Zenthian and 
is slowly talking with Zenthian about each one more in depth.
