Description

The soft chime of small silver bells worn in slanting Elven ears is the only announcement of the approach of this Elven maiden. Soft, straight black hair flows over her shoulders in layered waves down her back. Her skin is white to the point of translucence and unmarred by hard battle. Her face is made of sharp, angular lines lifting to high almond shape eyes of piercing blue. Not quite cold, but still stern and icy in even the most favorable light of the sun.

It was known from the day I was born that I would train to the Templar
of Darsylon. Such was my lot in life. I thought however that I could
use my study to remain among my own. To protect the ever shining city
of light and enlightenment. The clergy however had other plans for me.
At the end of my guild training I was told that I was to study with the
diplomats to eventually be sent out into the realms as a representative
of Darsylon. Not quite the place for a Maiden of a noble home. At least
not in her mind. She was to learn discretion especially when dealing
with the other races, but how could one learn anything of the other
races of the light when they burned out so quickly?

The Order of the Archon seemed best suited for a Maiden whose parents
wished her to be observed as a true warrior, but not obligated to
fight. Their position in arms was veiwed as more honarary. Merenwen
did not like the idea of holding any sort of honarary title. As with
most Maidens it meant nothing to anyone but the bureaucracy. She may
have been trained to be something of a diplomat, but it did not make
her a politician.

The Order of the Archon is what truly brought about the change needed
to bring about to light the embers of acceptance within her. Though
the task ahead of her was to be long and daunting, acceptance and a
sense of open mindedness began to form from the followers of the Lord
of Mercy. He herizons broadened, slowly, but they did expand. Time
spent in Galadon lent itself to understanding of charitable ways. Her
temeprance grew in dealing with the other races, even those she had
not studied. He ducation was key in opening dialouge among them. At
least in her dealings. finally she met the priestess who held the most
sway among the followers of Corrlaan and much began to become clear to
her. The guidence, reminder and watch of keeping one another in check,
any further actions in the war might be enacted upon. Forging one's
heat to remove the threat coupled with the balance of the Fortress'
goals without sacrificing who we are as a whole must be paramount. It
seemed Merenwen found a true use for her nearly learned skills under
the hand of the Cardinal and taking it further she, hopefully, bring
a giving nature, an understanding of keeping ones wits sharp in
temeperance of the light's ultimate goals and the wisdom to see the
grand scheme of Corrlaan's long term plan.
