Description

You look at this ebony skinned warrioress before you and see she is very tall. She has very wide hips and a large, broad chest. The armor she wears looks thick and weighty. Compared to the males of her race she is thinner in waist but her arms are filled out just as much with brute strength. Her hair is shiny and black and is braided down her back and tied in catgut. You can see under her large black unibrow that her eyes are completely black. They hold the luster of two polished onyx stones but at the same time eerily lifeless. As you look closer to her face you see every breath she takes is exhaled with a very faint black smoke. It dissipates almost as quickly as you see it.

Role

Summoned by the night

Added Sat Jan 28 20:32:15 2012 at level 5:
"Call upon the night so that we may raise another," said the cloaked figure
turning to a black, stone arch.

The archway was nearly twenty feet tall and five feet across. The stone was a
deep black onyx that was plain and smooth. It was atop a pitted, stony hill
that may have once held a small temple, but the archway was all that
remained. At both sides of the archway stood a robed man, and each was
clasping a leather-bound codex.

The cloaked figure walked before the arch and stood a few feet before it and
nodded to the man at his left.

"We call upon the shadows, the night that stands still, allow us a servant,
one that is strong in body and will."

The cloaked figure nodded to the man at his right.

"Clartatis vermos bach, chordate todanzi, sordonver shorze weras."

A bright sliver line grew from the bottom of the left arch and pulsated as it
traveled up and over to the right. At the keystone a black mist poured down
and filled the archway. From the center of the archway a black shape appeared
within the mist and soon a face was formed. It craned its neck outwards and
came to eye level of the cloaked figure.

"KORTAZ CHORGA!" It bellowed and hissed.

The cloaked figure threw back his cape and pushed forward a bound elf boy
towards the archway. The boy fell to the ground and squirmed away from the
archway. The misty neck bent down and from the base of the archway a thick
layer of mist enveloped the body and then receded back leaving only bones.

As the neck looked back up, it faced the cloaked figure again and hissed,
"Gor."

The mist dissipated from the top of the archway to the bottom and in its
place stood the naked figure of a very tall, black skinned woman.

"Prove to me you are what I have asked for," said the cloaked figure.

The warrioress raised her arms and found her hands upon the necks of the
robed men. Without any effort their heads fell upon the ground and blood
began to pool at the archway.

"Gor indeed," said the cloaked figure, "gor indeed."

Feast under the Blood Moon

Added Sat Jan 28 20:34:35 2012 at level 5:
The cloaked figured raised his arms and brought his hands to his temples
where the edges of a circlet sat on his head. He closed his eyes and when
they reopened bright silver light shone through. Focusing his thoughts he
brought his voice into the mind of the giant woman.

*The lands of this place will be yours through the night. Let the shadows
surround you and fill you with hunger for the fight. Feast upon the bodies of
your foes and take their power. The Cculgra may one day answer to you should
you appease the Chasm, but only time will tell. Go forth and do my bidding
and spread chaos though the land so that the night may rein forever*

The silver light faded from the cloaked figures eyes and he flew off into the
night in a trail of black smoke. The giant woman looked up into the sky at
the blood red moon and then back down to the base of the hill where two
saddled horses stood. She fashioned the horses side by side and rode off on
the pair north to the sight of lightning in distant clouds.

Summoning under the Blood Moon

Added Tue Feb 7 11:19:18 2012 at level 26:
For such a ritual to work successfully, the summoner must take into account
the place from which they call their creature. When calling the minion, you
must appease the archway gatekeeper with a gift coinciding with the realm one
beckons. Tales of success have been recorded and passed down from summoner to
summoner and kept in a book of the damned. When calling for devils from the
first circle of hell, a righteous one that has no faith has proven to be a
worthy sacrifice. A lustful harlot has been sacrificed and produced devils
that hailed from the second circle. On recent occasion, a gluttonous elf boy
was sacrificed and brought forth an extraordinarily strong creature with
black skin. Beyond the third realm of summoning, the beasts proved too strong
for their summoners to handle. A gnome jeweler was sacrificed once which sent
a giant horned beast through the gateway but because the gnome was so little,
it did not offer enough flesh and the summoners were devoured before the
creature could be pushed back through the gateway.

The sacrifices made for any beast to be beckoned from the gateway were a way
to call eager and willing creatures beyond forcing them as a conjurer might
do with the power of mana. The estimations were later made that any creature
called in the night beyond a certain realm of hell would be too much without
a strong enough sacrifice along with an army to guard the gateway. It would
be a risk calling something too big for the arch to sustain along with a
chance the gate could be destroyed in the process. Another gateway has yet to
be duplicated on a large scale, but a recently summoned creature has been
exploring the possibility of connecting a portal from the shadow plane to
bring abominations from the realm of Moloch. It holds a theory that while it
is a beast of chaos called feast on the living with gluttonous rage, it aims
to become the most violent warrioress and sacrifice itself to appease a
greater unstoppable force to bring the eternal night.

The Scheme of Rebirth

Added Sat Feb 18 14:16:40 2012 at level 26:
As the consumption of power continues in Thera, the hunger begins to grow
with the master. While clinching his massive fists a low growl issues forth
from his shark-like maw. The hell hounds begin to circle the Throne of
Gluttony and the writhing mists begin to moan louder.

"So, she has been feeding well I see," says the Arch-Devil Mammon as shades
begin to approach his Throne. As the first shade appears a dozen more soon
follow. They all kneel before the Throne of Gluttony and it appears that each
has a large bite mark torn from their neck.

"My Warrioress has the appetite but can she grow to my power?" says Mammon to
himself. He clutches a giant golden fauchard bearing his insignia in one hand
and brings his other massive hand to his chest. "If she is to bring eternal
night to the lands above, she will one day have to feast upon my flesh and
taste the power that festers in my heart," Mammons says while looking out to
the circle of fire surrounding him. "Should she eat enough I think one day
she shall face me, and only then will she be a worthy sacrifice. On that day
I will be reborn into her. Only then would Moloch rise to destroy the world
when her old body dies to summon him through the shadow plane of the seventh
realm. When her new body rises from the ash I will be free to eat the living
above."

Pleased with his diabolical plot, Mammon rises from his Throne and leaps down
upon the shades at his feet. The mists begin to cackle and swirl around the
base of the Throne and the hounds dart in to fight for the remaining scraps
of flesh and bone.

Confirmation

Added Tue Mar 6 17:31:18 2012 at level 36:
The dark wizard Rindros, Chancellor of the Eternal Night, called upon
Miczariel to see her worth as a warrioress. They were intrigued by the theory
of using the Scepter to call upon the Shadow Plane to summon the greater
evils. However, the only way to test this theory was to bring Miczariel into
the chasm. This task was done. Now the weight rested on Miczariels
shoulders to find the correct way to call upon this plane, and bring it to
hold enough negative energy to sustain its opening during the sacrifice.
Would it even work? Would the plane even reach the seventh realm? How could
she even determine if the plane could sustain the rising of Arch-Devil
Moloch? These questions raced in her mind but the answer was far too simple.
All she would need to do is to listen closely.

It happened when she called upon her first Ccul'gra to feast upon the living
with her in battle. While harnessing the power of the Scepter, she attempted
to summon a Nightwalker. As it slid forth from the shadows she could hear it.
It was confirmation. For the briefest of moments she knew the sound. The
three taps of his ivory talons upon the iron blade of his axe. It was the
sound she knew only as the offspring of such a terrible beast. His amber eyes
pierced her soul once at a very young age and it may have been her first
memory. She was feasting on the blood of infants while he contemplated her
existence. He would tap his three talons upon his axe as he was deep in
thought. The sound exhilarated her and her hunger would grow to a feverish
frenzy.

As it all rushed back into her mind as if a dream she remembered what he had
said as she said aloud to herself. "Send this one to Mammon, she has his
hunger." Her stomach grumbled at the thought of his words and she rummaged
through some massive thatched palm fronds for a bloody hunk of unidentified
meat. A faint line of blood ran across her lips as she gave a wicked grin.

"Mic continue eat, Mammon will taste too. Moloch will come for Mic after
ritual, must be violent," she said to herself while looking at the hissing
form of the Ccul'gra. "Eternal night come with Mic," she said to the Cculgra
and they both crawled up out of the chasm to feast upon some unfortunate
slack jawed yokel.

The test of power

Added Sat Mar 10 15:08:43 2012 at level 37:
The power was slowly rising in Miczariel from years of feasting upon the
helpless Therans. She was a strong warrioress but she had no real test to
prove it was true. An urge to explore the lands and find worthy beasts to
battle burned in the stomach of Miczariel and she set out with a companion.

This companion in particular was the highest caliber priest cut from the
cloth of her Scion master, Lord Reksah. If there was any test to prove
strength then it was with the prayers of Lord Reksah to sustain the fight.
Deep within the Jade mountain range across the Aryth ocean there lay deep
vaults cut into the stone. These elven vaults guarded many secrets and
treasures, and Miczariel would cut her way inside to find them all. The
greatest of them was laying motionless within a great stone sarcophagus. With
the aid of her companion, she hacked the dusty old Lich King into a pile of
loose bones. Leaving the vaults was not as easy as entering, but the burning
still sat in the gut of the warrioress.

She led her companion deep into the dreams of Organia next to find the more
powerful beasts to test her power. It took some searching, but she found
magnificent creature laying hidden in a stone cavern. A fatal nightmare named
Sirandhul. If one wishes to wake from a dream it is best to avoid Sirandhul,
the Dragon of Nightmares. Blow after blow the dragon began to bleed more and
more. The burning in Miczariel's stomach began to grow stronger with every
powerful strike upon the dragon until the beast was dead and the warrioress
was feasting. She was stuffed full of meat and her coin purse was stuffed
full of gold when she decided to wake up from the dream. Was it a true test?
After all, she had been dreaming. She would have to find more creatures to
test herself upon because her hunger for power was growing stronger by the
day.

The Abandoned Siege Encampment

Added Wed Apr 4 09:44:48 2012 at level 47:
Miczariel had been with the Scions for many years now and under the new
Chancellor Narissorin, after the passing of Rindros, there came an
opportunity to explore a possible link to the Plane of Shadow. The Chancellor
reached out to all the Scions and asked them to find a place of dark ritual.
Miczariel knew of a place she had seen in her ethereal form that fit the
requirements of the Chancellor.Deep in the Blight Hills through the
Abandoned Siege Encampment was a cave of mysterious shadows. The lands had
been corrupted by the years of bloodshed between the Cculgra and
Whitecloaks. When the time came to sacrifice herself to bring the greater
evil, she knew that there would have to be a dark power to sustain the
opening to the Shadow Plane, but more importantly there had to be a place.
Could this be the place? Narissorin was very pleased with Miczariel and the
secrets the cave held. There would come a time to experiment but she had no
idea what the Chancellor was planning yet. She only knew she had to be ready
for any eventuality, as detailed in a missive by the Chancellor.

The hunger was growing in Miczariel but the feasting had become more
difficult. The fruit of her labor was easy to pluck, but now the same fruit
had grown larger, tougher, and clustered together. Great numbers of foes came
to do battle and many were finding themselves victorious over the Warrioress.
She considered the last teaching her guildmaster would allow from the Macalla
and the many battles the future would hold. The burning hunger consumed her
thoughts as the thirst for power continued on the path to eternal darkness of
the lands. The time was nearing closer to call upon the Arch-Devil Mammon.

The Search for Charon

Added Mon Apr 16 18:31:23 2012 at level 51:
The Warrioress Miczariel worked her way upstream to the Mausoleum. From here
she could feel the pull of the great evils in this old church of worship. Her
ties to the scepter slowly opened up a sense to feel changes in the shadow
plane. It was here she would call out to her Master, Arch-Devil Mammon. A few
hours time in prayer and meditation soon was comforted by a chill down her
spine. She could hear the Arch-Devil, but the words rung in her ears as if
distorted by some interference. Miczariels prayer was acknowledge by Mammon
and she hung on his every word. There was an urgency in his voice, something
about "the weakening bridge, the boatman summoned somewhere" and Miczariel
knew she would have to fix this bridge and gain the wisdom from her
diabolical master. The boatman would know what this unseen force was if she
found him. Suddenly, the voice was gone. The words had ceased from the
shark-like maw of Mammon and all was quiet. Behind her there came a loud
buzzing and then a mighty crack like a mighty oak splitting in a strong wind.
Outside the Warrioress found a large iron halberd torn from the hands of a
black abishai devil that guarded the unholy shrine of Mammon. It was warm to
the touch as she picked it up. The words of her master were gone for now but
she had her focus. Find the boatman. But how? Perhaps the mysterious Davarrah
would be a start. She knew her fellow Scions Iussuni and Advisor Zameida
sought him out once when seeking the Plane of Shadow, and it was as good as
any place to begin the search.
