Description
Before you is wilder elf who stands a bit shorter than his
brethren. He is lighter of limb and stature as well, though he
still appears as lithe and agile as his fellow kin. He has long
flowing golden white hair, which, though clean wanders about with
the slightest breeze. Large, round, light hazel eyes enliven a
rounded face with soft cheeks and a full, broad lipped mouth.
He seems a bit uncaring of his other appearance with threadbare
and aged clothing that is still clean enough. He carries an old
and battered leather bag yet well oiled with the scent of strange
rare herbs eminating from it. You see the well patterned outline
of a book or two on an outer pocket.
Role
Beginnings:
Added Fri Oct 17 18:34:01 2014 at level 5:
Milonuthial was born of the wilder elves in the southwest of the
Vale of Arendyl on a bright summer day filled with the rays of
the sun filtering through the trees. His mother is a lore
mistress of the forests flora and gathers herbs and healing
plants of the verdant glades. He grew up helping her in her
endeavors and learned quickly all that she knew. His father
was a forest ranger who was a protecter of the people. He was
often away for long periods and would return with news from
places near these woodlands.
One long winter day death and flames struck the Arendyl as
orcs and dark mages and warriors plunged the forest into war.
The flames of war spread west into the elven enclaves. Many
wounded and dead were brought back into the safety of the
outlying woods. Milonuthial and his mother worked tirelessly
for days and nights to stem the corruption of flesh and the
loss of life. On the third day his father was carried in
to the hidden glade, dead from plague and fire. His mother
collapsed with grief and fatigue and Milonuthial worked on
with his limited yet growing abilities to stem the tide
of death. Soon after, the onslaught was over as the enemies
of light retreated or simply left to bring destruction to
another fair land.
His mother never recovered fully from the trauma of those
days and travelled to the Voralian City to put distance
between her and the place where her world burned. Milnuthal
rested for a time amongst his people.
While there he met a small group who kept care of an idol
of the sun. They named it a symbol of the Ancients and
spoke of the returning of the land to Thar Eris. These
conversations intrigued him and he studied among them
some time. Word eventually came from his mother and he
journeyed to the city of rivers to ensure that all was
well with her. He stayed but a short time for he disliked
the cities limiting ways and soon joined the healers guild
under a young healers tutelage and made his way to the academy.
Dissonance:
Added Fri Oct 17 18:35:37 2014 at level 5:
Milo was shocked by the rude elbow jabbing citizens of
Galadon. They seemed persistently afraid and isolated
each from another. Trolls attacked and all fled, trampling
each other in their haste to find shelter. More died in
the stampede, he was sure, than the troll killed. It was
a dirty place, corrupting and depressing to mind, body
and spirit. He managed to hold on long enough to graduate
the academy and he left as fast as his feet could take him.
He now wanders about learning his craft, unconsciously
searching for what he does not yet know.
Quest(ions):
Added Sat Nov 1 02:36:57 2014 at level 15:
Milonuthial has wandered the lands and reveled in the blessed
chaos of life and creation that abounds in the wild places far
from cut stone and chopped timber. He learns the skills of a
healer and seeks to aid those who have need of his mending.
He learned of his mothers death while travelling through the
city and thought if she had not come here her heart might have
been mended. For some time his wanderings have been without
thought or purpose as he sadly ponders his mothers loss of
spirit and her turning away from the regenerative forces of
the forests heart. He silently vows that he will never lose
heart in such a fashion.
One day he was slowly walking the greenwood of the ancient
emerald forest where he met an elder healer with a blue
bird on his shoulder. He tarried quite some time and had
conversations about the gods and ancients. Milonutial first
heard the name Strienat and was intrigued by this great
ancient of the light. Days and many questions past between
them and findally the elder healer told him he had wasted
enough time pondering his naval and should seek out that
which he wanted. He then asked how he might learn more
and was told to pray and learn.
Refuge:
Added Tue Dec 9 04:47:51 2014 at level 36:
Milonuthial met many of those called outlander. In his
quest to understand the Chaos which is life he spoke at
length to an elder warden who's simple yet profound
understanding of nature impressed the young healer. He
sought out the elder shaman and found that he was now
the Sunwarden in deed and name. After a long discussion
with many questions asked, Milo has been invited into
the refuge. Nearly immediately he has been confronted
with those who would destroy the very fabric of nature
in their unthinking need for control. He has been made
very busy in the tasks of regeneration and restoration
about the refuge and beyond. He has also met and had
dark and threatening words from the evil that stalks
within the tree and has yet to understand them. Is it
death that they seek in their violence or undeath?
Creation and Chaos:
Added Thu Dec 18 19:18:10 2014 at level 49:
Milo sat and pondered for quite some time beneath a
towering oak tree in the forests midst. He pondered
and sat some more. In the midst of his deepest thought
an acorn hit him upon the head. It struck him that
acorns fall where they may, one falls there upon a rock
another upon his head and yet another onto fine soil.
The last seems to be but half of an acorn fallen next
to its parent. The one on the rock becomes a squirrels
dinner, the one in soil over the course of days sprouts
with roots just beginning their journey into the earth.
Milo pulls the one out of his hair and places it in his
pocket. Many fall into the thick cover of many years
leaves and find their way to growth and change. Some
are out in direct sunlight and grow strong and true,
straight up to the waiting sky. Some fall close to
their parent bending this way and that to gain sunlight
and food from the soil in a persistent effort to grow.
It is their nature.
Astray:
Added Sat Feb 7 11:22:16 2015 at level 51:
Time passes and the circle turns. The past fades in
memory and the present is a dream of movement and
action with thoughts scattered and cast into the
the winds of existence. Scars afresh heal and fade
as age continues its slow inexorable march. The
future asks in a querilous voice, "Who are you?"
A question that only time can answer. The present
asks "What are you now, in this moment?" I am and
it seems little enough. The spring storms yet
restore the land and the wild winds yet blow change
upon the world. But I am lost. The power of the
Emerald Oak is with me still, yet I am adrift in
the soul. The past asks "What did you wish to
accomplish?" More than I have is the answer and
a recommitment seems necessary.
Found:

A taint had touched upon him. His soul was sickened
by such that has befallen him. Sometimes the lessons
are learned by failure or at the least, a perceived
failure. Milo ran from his shadow for a short while
before his stride slowed in the presence of the
verdant forest that he passed through. Slowly he
he came to a halt and rested praying quietly into
the shaded evening. Eventually the taint was
cleansed from his heart and he felt at peace with
himself and these wildlands than he had for quite
some time. The Spring Wind of the Emerald Oak came
to him and he felt the warmth of creation amongst this
wild place. Milo has been honored with unexpected yet
profound blessings from the Emerald Oak and is quieted.
He is asked to be attentive to those who would become
wardens to this tree. He begins to understand that
he had begun a race without knowing for what or why.
I am enough in this moment, he thought to himself
and I will accomplish what I am able in aiding the
Wardens branch of the tree and what I am unable to
do others will in time. He is Found in himself.
Hope and Compassion
Added Mon Apr 20 10:19:41 2015 at level 51:
Milonuthial has been seeking something more for
some little while. Many times he has been sought
out for conversations that have brought him
confusion as to their intent and purpose. He has
thought hard and has concluded that hope is ever
present and compassion a necessity in the lives
of a mortal soul. In this way can restoration of
soul and spirit be assuaged. Perhaps he sometimes
counsels hope to the hopeless, yet he does not
see an end to its possibilities. Compassion for
others some times limits his vision, yet he would
rather that this be the case than a hardened heart.
Because of this he now listens with patience to
all who speak to him and counsels hope with compassion
to all including the hopeless in the knowledge that
perhaps all things are possible in time and even
the darkest or most confused heart can be mended.
And in the mending, restoration to nature take place.
