A conversation with the Huntress
Added Wed Oct 25 08:29:37 2006 at level 26:
Upon speaking with the Huntress of the Refuge, Mitiszuh has learned that the
simplest answer to the population of the cities isn't the best. Mitiszuh has
always seen villages and the like as something that will grow into cities, and therefore
part of the problem. Yet, the Huntress has made him away that villages are liked by Amaranthe,
and this he was to think on for their next discussion.
Mitiszuh has done much thinking on it, and has come to the conclusion that
he couldn't see the forest for the trees. Villages aren't the same as cities, in anyway that
is harmful to Thar-Eris. Cities have laws enforced by a group, numerous guilds and
are centers of commerce. Villages aren't, they are collections of people who are just
living near each other for support. Cities expand and exploit, where as villages merely
adapt to the land and work with it.
Mitiszuh thinks this is the next step for the population of the cities, they need
to be shown that life can be lived just as well in villages and such and their life
will be much simpler in the process. He believes this is two fold, this shows the people that
you can live on and with Thar-Eris without harming her, and it makes them stronger people
able to depend on themselves for survival, not the institutions a city provides.
Mitiszuh looks forward to his next discussion and hopes his spirit is strong enough for
a place in the Refuge.
