Dressed in the finest silk this svirfnebli stands out starkly. His garish
robes clash against the otherwise bland surroundings. Upon his right hand he
wears a ring embedded with thirteen different dazzling gemstones each rarer
than the next. Light blonde hair sticks out the top of his head shaped liked
an outcropped rock. Adding some extra height to his seemingly tall
statue...for a svirfnebli. Roughly standing at 4 foot 2 there is an air of
superiority to him. His eyes emerald, green shine bright with youthful
confidence. Unblemished his face looks to be cut of pure quartz. He is of
an average build looking to be neither a lean nor thin. As you look closer
you can see....

*Born to a rich merchant family called the Goldglow in Upper Cragstone.
*Youngest of thirteen children.
*Father gave off the view that his family worshipped Whiysdan
*His father is infertile. 12 of his thirteen sons are from different humans
and his wife.
*Momokono is his only true born son. He was conceived through using dark Drow
fertility magic.
*He has naturally ebony skin because of this. He resents this.
*All of the Thirteen children are shapeshifters that use magic to hide their
mixed heritage.
*His siblings collectively are known as the thirteen pillars of the Goldglows.
Each holding an important facet of the family trade.
*Mononoko was given charge of their secret dealings with the Dark Elves and
the Duergar. Along with acting as an information broker.
*Mono was cherished by his father but mother especially for being her last
child and because of him being a true born child.
*He was trained to be the face of his family. Acting innocent and overly
polite as obscure his true nature.
*He is good natured and sporadic in how he pursues life, but when it comes to
business.
*He is calm, calculating, and acts toward the best interest of his goals.
*He doesn't lie to anyone. He explains his intentions plainly because he
believe his charms will bring success regardless.
*After tensions were rising with the duergar and drow he found they intended
to go back on a deal. Seeking to usurp a large portion of their business from
them.
*The drow intended to poison them at a meeting to discuss business.
*After informing his father they created a plan involving drinking a bit of
rare blood bringing immunity to this poison. Using magic to slow their heart
beats to a near stop.
*Mono was to slip to the bathroom during the meeting to "escape" his bothers
grim fate. Once in private he would release his magic allowing his skin to
darken. He would then drink a potion to enlarge himself before shifting to a
slenderer frame.
*He would sneak out as a drow guard returning to his family. Having a few drow
owing them favors his brothers would be safely thrown into an underdark pit
where they were collected.
*They were all given new identities aiding within the business.
*Mono was to take the fall within the family as failing to prevent the
betrayal. To the public it was reported as an ambush by drow. Mono is said to
have left to grieve. Gallivanting about spending the families gold to ease his
suffering.
*Mono was given a mission by his father. While the family works within the
underdark to punish the drow and duergar for their breach of contract. He is
to do the same on the surface.
*His father gave him a small loan of 2000 gold to fund his venture on the
surface with the contract obligation of ruining 2000 drow or duergar lives.

*He isn't comfortable about hiding anything but he will abide the contract he
signed. He knows it is best for his family.
History of the Goldglow family

*The Goldglow family has it's origins in the late 2nd age. It consisted of 13
pillar families that operated different functions of the merchant family.
*The three important families to Momo's story are the 2nd pillar the magical
object smiths, the 10th pillar the agricultural merchants, and the 13th pillar
originally known as the negotiation branch.
*These branch families are ancient their relation is far distant at best but
their goal is the preservation of Cragstone. Balancing the power within the
Underdark.
*In the sixth age they adopted Lord Whiysdan as the Patron of their merchant
family moving the leadership of the family from the 7th pillar to the 13th.
*After this the Goldglow became known for their cheery attitude and deep love
for the svirfnebli people. Seen as honest hard-working merchants for the sake
of their people.
*After his ancestor grew the families power openly too large for the balance
of the Underdark. The Drow and Duergar made a temporary alliance to crush his
family.
*His family was victorious at great cost. 10 of the 13 families were wiped out
completely. Leaving parts of the 2nd, 10th, and 13th alive.
*After his great ancestor Enpolad Goldglow head of the 13th pillar had a
disagreement with the new head of the 2nd pillar. Their name is lost to
history.
*The 2nd pillar head wanted to reclaim their magical items from the far
corners of Thera. Using them to destroy the drow and duergar for good. Enpolad
sought to rebuild his family traditionally. Recreate the 13 pillars from his
direct bloodline.
*The 2nd pillar head relented but in secret plotted. Once Enpolad's son was of
age he struck during a ceremony of great importance to the family.
*The ceremony being the Ceremony of the Forgotten. It is a ritual based in the
fact that the Goldglow family are the unseen protectors of the city. The name
comes from an ancient family heirloom of great power. The Mask of the
Forgotten. Once worn it does one of two things. Assumes the identity of the
perfect heir for the family (This is created within the sealing spell by the
patriarch of the family) or assumes the identity of a once living person.
Giving them the same thought process with any alteration made with the spell.
The wearer of the mask is completely forgotten if used conjunction with a
living person.
*During the strike Enpolad was kidnapped along with the mask and an artifact
called the Hat of the Enternal.
History of the Goldglow Pt2

*The Hat of the Eternal is a dark magical item that extends ones lift by
taking a mass of people then binding their souls in torment to a natural
conduit point. Allowing someone to extend their life near indefinitely.
*Years later Enpolad came to light having created a game garden hiding his
dark actions behind a place of whimsy and his joyful appearance. Keeping to
the Goldglow family tradition. None can be sure what his goals are outside the
Goldglow family. They are in secret to collect the same magical items he seeks
for the protection of Cragstone instead of the destruction of drow and
Duergar.
*Officially the 13th family's duty is brokering trade deals for the benefit of
Cragstone. Their secret secondary duty is information gathering and making
deals with unsavory interests that the public cant know about.
*Momo's true mission is to recover the Mask of the Forgotten to wear as
tradition dictates.
*The Hat of the Eternal belongs to the head of the family. It is meant to be
used in an emergency to extend their leaders life in time of crisis. The Mask
is meant to be worn by the Hier to ensure that the family prospers under their
fathers rule. Within the family the father is known as the Forgotten King
while the son is known as the Forgotten Prince.
Mask of the Forgotten

*The mask of the Forgotten is now worn by Momo.
*It will alter his personality making him significantly more ruthless in his
pursuit of his goal. Doing things, he would never willing do.
*Even to those that know of it's existence he will deny it exists under it's
effects.
*It will only release from him once he has completed the specific goal that is
bound into it.
*The goal for Momo is to send Nycruvae thirteen valid contracts. Once that has
happened it will release him.
*During the time it is worth the sentient spirit within the mask will take
over his body. Acting toward it's goal while imitating Momo's personality.
Colder and more ruthless.
*During that time Momos soul will be trapped within the mask constantly
besieged by souls of the Goldglows family enemies that are trapped within.
*This is a test of his mental endurance as much as a means to an end.
*As is tradition Momo was married to a svirf woman of his father's choosing.
She was granted the ability to engrain a command into the spellwork of the
mask.
*Since she is of the 2nd pillar of his family he was worried she would try to
carry out her ancient elder's Enpolad's work.
*Unknown to Momo she had fallen in love with him long ago. All she had written
into the spell work was a deep love for her in return.
*Momo was relieved that was all she wished, but he is deeply nervous of the
undue worry he has placed upon his friends.
*Momo was married to her before the ceremony to place the mask.
*He worries about if he were to become Provost under the influence of the
mask. In his mind he could not do worse than Malthis.
*The mask abides all contracts including any rules he is bound to.
