Description
A lithe and indefatigable figure concealed by shadow and a dark black velvet
mantle is near you. The hooded cloak appears to have two raised areas
which are likely a pair of ears poking out in different directions.
The movements speak volumes that this figure is not one to dilatory.
You notice pitch-black colored hair forcing its way out from under the hood.
A last glance reveal a set of crimson-colored eyes watching you from under
the hood as a hand traces a line across his trachea.

Mordikai was left to die as a baby, it was by luck an old man and woman found him. They were on their way to the market, like they did every day of the sun when they spotted a basket.
Always wanting a child of their own, the woman begged her husband to keep the child and let her raise it. The man agreed but was suspicious of the child even at birth.
Mordikai was unlike any human child they had seen, his skin ebony, his ears pointy and his eyes crimson. His first birthday came and Mordikai was excited, he had wanted a toy orc to pretend it was his slave.
Waiting by the door Mordikai heard screams, his adopted father entering and slamming the door behind him. We will kill the child! shouted the people. Give us the dark-elf!
Mordikai's mother picked him up and hid him in a secret opening in the floor. The mob broke through the door a second later and demanded the child!!
We will not give you Mordikai! He has goodness inside of him. He's not like the others of his kind, he's not evil! It's his birthday! Please leave us alone and leave!
We're not going anywhere old lady! This is your last chance! Give us the Dark-elf or suffer the consequences..
Enough talk, a voice in the back shouted!
The mob grabs Mordikai's mother and father, and begins to tie them together on a table.
May the gods of light have mercy on you for aiding evil, the mob shouted!
A spark is ignited under the table and it begins to burn with the parents on top.
Mordikai covered his mouth watched in horror as his parents were burned alive. Tears streaming down his face.
Anger and hatred for " The light " begins.
Blackness.....

Waiting until nightfall, Mordikai crawled out from his hiding spot and wandered away from the city lights. He followed the road until it became no more. He continued until coming to a an old trail, not
traveled in many years. Vegetation and weeds covering them. Choosing the darker trail, Mordikai struggled to make his way down it. It was very dark but his eyes adjusted. The city lights were all but a distant memory now.
The sounds of the wilderness, his anger and thoughts were his only companion now.
On the side of this very old path Mordikai found a house, overgrown with weeds and covered in moss. Entering through a broken window he discovered his future.
A training dummy, old swords, some books of the art of the Assassin was found. A storage closet of sealed food and drinks to last years.
This would become Mordikai's home, where he could begin to train and "save" the world from people like the "light".
Learning about the truth.

Years of living alone and away from others, especially the training in the art of the Assassin aided Mordikai with seeing more than many.
When he felt his training was at a high level, Mordikai would sneak into the cities and hide in the shadows. Watching and listening. Learning.
Mordikai found that his ability to see a person for who they were was a gift. He believed most people hid behind a mask. It took special eyes to see what was behind the mask.
During his time in the shadows, Mordikai witnessed a powerful mummy, bringing destruction to many of "The light" as well as many who wore a mask.
Intrigued with this, he wanted to learn more and know why, so he sought out the mummy.
Mordikai was told about the Temple, about truth and purity and also of destruction.
It felt like the first time in his life, he was able to see more clearly and see truly what the world was.
He was instructed to seek out the sounder of the horn, to learn from the book.

A few "mistakes".
Taking what was learned and seen, Mordikai began to apply it.
Imperials, he used them and played the part of the fool to gain their trust. There were a few accidents which resulted in the deaths of the imperials.
Mordikai used and gained the trust of the Spire and those aspiring to become, he used this trust along with the Imperials to assist the Flame.
Others who followed false gods and those who believed him a friend, priests and others were lead to their doom.
