Description
A burly man stands before you, broad shoulders and stout legs -
mailed in heavy armor from head to toe. Beneath his helm, he has
a pleasant face, strange glowing silver eyes framed by golden brows
emanate a sense of benevolence. His lips are thin, and small creases
give hint to a worn smile often. His armor is well taken care of
and polished highly, a scratch or dent here and there tells of its use.
His gauntleted hands clench a long two-handed voulge tightly, and his
stance shows a readiness to use it if needed.

Naevar's Origin

Naevar began life as a humble young man in Voralian City. His parents
were kind, and raised him to be a thoughtful young man. He helped with
chores, showed diligence in his work and respected his elders. He was a
bit timid with other people, and despite his demeanor never managed to
make many friends. He apprenticed a blacksmith in his teenage years, and
began an apprenticeship. The master smith took a liking to Naevar
immediately because he listened to instructions and followed them to a
tee, and also noticed Naevar's exceptional work ethic. He always arrived
to work early, and did his job to the best of his ability. He was
dedicated to his craft if nothing else. One day, Naevar caught a pretty
young ladies eye, as she saw him toiling in the forge. Naevar did not
notice the young woman staring at him from across the street, so she made
her presence known and struck up a conversation with the young smith.
She would go on to become Naevar's first love, and true friend.
A year or two had passed, and the two were completely smitten with each
other - soon to be married. However, sometimes good times are too good
to last, and villainy rears it's ugly head. A heavily armed and raggedly
organized group of bandits showed up in Voralian City, and began
ransacking the merchant district. Naevar valiantly tried to protect his
love from the skirmishing, and ended up getting himself knocked out cold
in a scuffle. When he came too, he found his love laying in a puddle of
her own blood, with a dagger in her gut. The fighting was over, and the
Voralian City guard had dealt with the bandits, but there were many
casualties in the scuffle that day, and Naevar's love was among them.
Overcome with grief, he knelt over her body, screaming to the heavens of
his agony. He pulled the dagger from his lovers body, and held it
against his own chest, intending to take his life.
And in that instant before he would end it all, something happened - time
itself seemed to stand still for a moment. A rift from the azure fields
opened up and an Archon took notice of the poor mans suffering. A
celestial being of Order took pity on the poor man's plight and with
Naevar's mental permission the Archon took residence in his body, vowing
to utilize this man of pure heart's form to battle the forces of
wickedness, and maintain Order in the mortal realm. He would dedicate
his time spent in this body to pursuing evil, and protecting the
innocent, to temper his hand in all things and pursue only righteous
endeavors. He would seek out Ishuli, and learn what he could from her.

Naevar has decided to dedicate his life to the Fortress as a Squire.
Feeling deeply inside that there can be no real peace for the innocents
of the world unless brave men of honor fight on their behalf. After
making this decision, Naevar sought out the Lady of the Great Library -
Ishuli the Witch. Seeking her blessing and to study as her pupil - he
embarks upon a challenge. To scribe a tome for the Great Library on the
details and intricasies of the Great War between Good and Evil. The
topic called to Naevar after a conversation with another follower of
Ishuli - a dwarf of the Spire, Grasdraal. Realizing that the topic was
not only a good catalyst for conversation, but also an important topic to
understand as a Squire, and perhaps someday Maran of the Fortress.
Naevar sought to begin his journey of discovery with thoroughly
researching what started the Great War. Ishuli recommended we seek out
tomes in the Lyceum from the First Age. We also wish to speak with
Korsgaard and see what he knows of the ancient histories.
