Description
The giant before you appears somewhat shorter than most of his race, but
that could just be an effect of his thicker than average build. Naldigar's
dark orange hair is cropped closely expsosing and ebony scalp where it is not
covered by his helmet. In contrast to his shaven head, Naldigar has allowed
beard to grow wildly hanging down below his chest plate. Although most of
face is obscured, s thick scar beggining at the corner of Naldigar's right
eye and running into the tangle of his beard is visible. Naldigar's armor
does not match, but appears to be in good condition and chosen for
the protection it grants and utility rather than adornment.
Role
Naldigar's Early Years.

Naldigar was born to a warrior in the village of Kiadana. His father was
part of Kiadana Rah's honor guard, and Naldigar would have taken his place
amongst them as well had he remained on the mount.
Training for Naldigar began as soon as he could walk. Drills with all types
of weapons, but mainly axes and swords took place daily. Nicks and cuts
became unnoticed as new scars replaced old. Physical labor to maintain their
village accentuated his drilling serving to further condition him, and to
give a sense of community.
As Naldigar grew, he realized he was stronger than many of the other giants.
He would best most of those he sparred of his age, even those of Kiadana
blood. Having not had the way of things in the village explained to him
clearly, he began to imagine the day he would rule Kiadana the guard he
trained for would serve him. One day as a young adolescent giant, he made
the mistake of verbalizing this.
The scars Naldigar would receive that day would make all others he had
received before pale in comparison. Those he had trained with, all of which
he could best, were ordered to fight him at the same time. He did what he
could, but eventually succumbed. Once beaten into unconsciousness, he was
thrown in the prison where he was further tormented until he had recovered
enough to walk on his own. He was removed from training and only give menial
but back breaking tasks to perform in the village there after and was scorned
by all.
A New Beginning.

Naldigar knew he was still stronger than and individual peer, but realized he
could not overcome the whole of the village. He was shamed by the tasks he
was given, and began to mull what he might do to improve his station.

His chance would come when the village suffered one of it many storm giant attacks.
Most of the guards near were overwhelmed quickly. Naldigar could
have aided then, the contempt they had shown him cut to deep. Naldigar
feigned death, and let the storm giants continue their assault.
Naldigar started running once they had passed, and made his way to the town of Arkham.
Once there he began to look for a place to continue his training as a
warrior, and for a way to be recognized for the strength he knew he
possessed.

As Naldigar began to wander the realm, the Imperial recruiter's began working
on him every chance they got. They spoke of how the strongest rose through
the ranks and ruled the rest, which appealed greatly to Naldigar. The fact
they were currently ruled by a giant was favorable to him as well. He was
working on gathering the coins required when offered the oath from the
shadows. He had wanted to take it from a giant, but decided he would let
another pay his way, for now
Citizen Naldigar

After what seemed long to Naldigar, he is finally made a citizen of the
Empire, even if one of its lowliest members for now. From what he has seen,
Naldigar believes he will have little trouble climbing in the hierarchy that
is the Empire.
During the time since he has left Kiadana, Naldigar has learned many things.
The first of these is that he was somewhat sheltered in the mountain.
Although life there could be brutal, he had quickly learned life outside
could be deadly and a fight where your life was on the line was much
different than the sparring done during training.
Another was that many he had been raised to believe were weak, might not be
as weak as he had thought. Those of the light seemed to have most of the
Empire hiding, and from what he had seen of the powers they possessed, even
the weak could be deadly when filled with the power of gods or with numbers.
Naldigar had learned at a young age that if there was a fight of many against
one, the many would likely win.These many with their powers were not to be
taken likely. He had also learned even those who might not seem a threat
would become much more wily when death was the price of defeat.
And finally, Naldigar is a bit confused of all the talk amongst Imperials of
the nightmare beyond. It sounds like some Scion illusionist crap to him, but
he will continue to listen to learn more for now. The other giant amongst
the blades was made anathema for some reason, so Naldigar realizes he must
tread cautiously for now.
Greasing the Palm

As Naldigar sees more of the Empire, he sees it has trappings of a great
past, but seems to have fallen on hard times. Great halls are largely Empty,
and must is in a state of disrepair.
Naldigar is also somewhat disgusted that now he is deemed worthy for
promotion, he must also bribe the Emperor to gain it. That, and with some
other actions Naldigar has witnessed, leads the giant to believe he is
starting to understand why the Imperial Army has so many deserters and the
recruiters are having to much trouble filling the ranks.
However, on a bright note, The War Master position has become vacant.
Naldigar sees very few blades of competence, so sets his eyes, and starts
working on his bribe, to take it.
The Emperor's Flail

but the Emperor lost his flail after his escape. Naldigar was able to
regather gaining some measure of gratitude from the Emperor and quicker
promotions (that he still had to pay for, but at least got one on credit).
The Strength to Bash, the Skill to Lash, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Naldigar begins to get some sense of his strengths and weaknesses and begins
to improve somewhat (not completely) at avoiding becoming a smear on the
eastern road. He has seen a significant shift in the power of the Empire
since he has joined it, though it seems to him the blade sect lags behind the
others in contribution in influence. Dark whispers prompt him to seek to
become the War Master which he intends to broach with the Emperor, whenever
he might see him.
A destination

After long years and much blood (mainly his), Naldigar has ascended to become
the highest ranking warrior in the Empire, one step from the throne itself.
In Naldigar's mind, his decision to leave Kiadana has been validated, though
it has been a bumpy journey. Naldigar immediately repays the Emperor for the
promotion by freeing from the nightreaver's snare (with two reaver shaman by
his side) at the expense of his own life.
Recent squabbles with the shadow sect have ended with the source of the
squabbles becoming anathema as the whole Empire finally sees what Naldigar
had. This has done much to boost Naldigar's faith in the processes of the
Empire designed to make it function and to keep it strong.
And finally, Naldigar has agreed with calls from the rest of the council for
a vote to raise a new Emperor. Merf has done some things to benefit Naldigar,
but always with a price tag attached. Also, Naldigar believes the Emperor is
old and tired and not out of bed enough to effectively rule the realm.
