Role
The plague of Thera
Added Fri Sep 13 19:14:44 2019 at level 1:
Growing up, Narra viewed her parents with growing disgust.
They owned a small magical device shop and would always strive
to please their customers, no matter how disgusting they or
their behavior was. Whether to buy or sell, they would almost
grovel before any high-snobbed elf or even a dim-witted giant.
They forgot that it was the humans that built the great cities,
nothing like that exists from the lesser races. Sure, they can
carve the branches in various ways and dig through the stone,
but their efforts are rather laughable compared to the great
cathedrals, statues, and just wonderfully decorated houses.
The sheer size of Galadon or Hamsah bring shame to the likes
of Darsylon. And the shops, their variety, the huge assortment
of things and people are beyond comparison. And all this done
by humans, but used and abused by the pointy-eared and the
shorties and the disgusting black-skins, all matter of peeps.
No, Narra would not stand for this pollution. She would be pure
of corruption and would make sure that they respect the
humans once again. Of course, there might be a time she'd use
them for her own ends, but that time should be short and after,
they would be shown to their proper place and given a proper
burial. Or not. No burial perhaps. Or one that offends their
customs. Yes, that will be more appropriate. Bury a drow like
one would bury an elf. Bury a felar like one would a dwarf.
Even in death they should feel their place and their ghosts
will have shame forever. Until they submit to the superiority
of the one true master race of all. Maybe even after that.
Narra was also growing increasingly at odds with the norms of the
society. Go do this, no, you cannot do that, oh, dear, what did
you do, what were you thinking, yada yada yada. She wanted to do
what her mind set out to do, not to listen to the endless rules
and what's proper for a lady and how this or that might offend
someone or Narra forbid, some flimsy gnome, who in her opinion
is best served squished.
Orcs sometimes get it right with the squishing part, but are
rather disagreeable in all others. At least Galadon's mayor had
the sense to bar them from entering. That should be done for all
lesser races, of course. They have no place in human towns, on
human roads, in human shops, in human taverns, in most of Thera
and probably beyond. They contribute nothing but smell and they
leech off the progress driven forward by humans.
The Path
Added Fri Sep 13 19:20:03 2019 at level 1:
Narra would not stand by the rules and would not watch the great
human progress being undone by those disgusting creatures. Narra
would engage her inner primal nature and learn to become a fierce
beast to tear all the lessers apart. Perhaps even the humans who
would stand in her way. The primal beast within her is growing
increasingly disgusted with the prescriptions of the world and
wants to be let free. To free herself and the world, Narra would
learn to shift into the fiercest forms and bring proper terror forth.
She would strive to become a great feared mage and show the power
of the human spirit and human magic. Of course, while doing what
she desires. For no wish should go unfilled if that is what Narra wants.
No one will stand in her way, no matter whether they think of Narra
as an ally or foe, they will either stand aside or die. Perhaps
stand aside and die regardless, that shall be for Narra to decide.
She will teach others of the inner beast, humans first of course.
And maybe, just maybe, some of the poor lost souls with their rules
can be saved from themselves and the dumbness of morality.
The Purity of the Temple
Added Tue Sep 17 20:11:23 2019 at level 17:
Famed for its masters of will, the Temple will provide sufficient
sanctum of purity for Narra. There, she will be calm and free to pursue
the righteous path. No judgement in the Temple for those who have the free will.
If of course that moment will pass, for the path to the Temple
appears to be not easy. Nevertheless, Narra will persevere and in time
will be deserving of a leading role within.
Her path is right, her will will be done.
Purity of Mind and of Body
Added Tue Sep 17 20:49:10 2019 at level 17:
As Narra masters the control of her body, first with learning to
grow body parts and now, shifting into a shape of an animal and
actually embodying it, for all intents and purposes, except her
mind, which stays clear and human throughout the transformation,
no matter how difficult, she is very delighted in her mastery of the guild.
What she intends to do happens. Whether to grow an appendage
or move faster, her will can be done. She also feels quite confident
even in a body of a mule, kicking with its legs as if she always did it.
With learning of more animals to master, Narra is very confident, she will
master them all and make the lessers suffer as they experience the purity
of the animal expressed through the utterly human mind.
For woman is beast and beast is the woman and both are Nurra.
The Truth and Purity
Added Fri Oct 11 16:48:42 2019 at level 43:
All men and women at their core are the same, that has been an undeniable Truth.
The inner core of darkness fills every soul, in many instances overshed by
false notions of morality and so-called feelings. Especially funny is how the
so-called righteous and pious are clinging to their ways of explaining the world.
However, while men and women are certainly the same in that regard, other
abominations of the world, secondary races and half-breeds are perhaps not.
Since their purity is corrupted at the very core, their reasons for not
embracing the Truth can easily be explained by their lack of a pure soul.
For while for humans the Truth is easily seen, the impure races first
would have to overcome their inborn deficiencies before facing it.
It is quite a pity that Thera cannot be easily made pure overnight, but
I would suppose it is something that can be worked on.
The hatred and the purity
Added Thu Oct 31 11:42:38 2019 at level 51:
Narra has spent her life a bit misguided in her ways.
The Catechism and the studies of herself revealed that the irrational
hatred of the lesser races has consumed her being and led her stray
from the Purity of Darkness within. Of course, one does not have to
associate with those she finds unpleasant, but being willing to talk
to them and to guide them on their path to the robes helps Narra to
overcome her zealousness and become more Pure in Darkness than with
the false feeling of hatred, for it is as false as is love and compassion.
The transition
Added Wed Nov 20 14:21:28 2019 at level 51:
As Morius expropriated the icon for his own, Narra was at a crossroads.
Forced out of a Temple into exile, but still staying true to the Darkness within.
She admired the true act of Darkness that happened, however.
It was very much appropriate for Morius to incorporate the icon into his power.
With that, she found an appreciation for Morius and his goals.
And while not pledging to Scion, she begun to entertain the idea of joining
since their goals seemed to align with Narra's and while their view of the
world was not entirely pure, as they allowed and feasted on emotions,
it still aligned with the Darkness and the future Purity of it encompassing
all of Thera enticed Narra to join in.
The Advisor to Morius
Added Mon Mar 2 20:01:27 2020 at level 51:
As Narra assumed the position that was rightfully hers, she is looking
for those who are worthy enough of being in the Chasm.
Those who know pain and suffering, but also those who can see past
their false emotions of anger, rage and the hunger for senseless murder.
The Night will require those with self-control, cunning and a willingness
to do what's necessary, thus also those who can refuse orders and not
condone servitude and slavery, as the Ccul'gra will be looking to exploit that.
Narra has also continued on her efforts to educate Thera about the
Truth and the teachings of the Scarab Temple, which still remain in
effect despite the Temple's closure. Too many are ignorant and should be
educated and enlightened. Some have taken her words to heart and found
their inner Darkness, but much remains to be done.
Pride
Added Tue May 26 19:46:50 2020 at level 51:
I have not thought about it or realized it, but I'm overly proud of myself.
Morius noticed and pointed it out. While I never gave in to my feelings,
that was probably due to being too proud a follower of Scarabaeus.
Despite His apparent demise, I still consider myself a follower of the Cult
and continue to preach and spread the Truth around Thera.
That, too, is probably stemming from my pride. Too proud to associate much with
the lesser races, too proud to ask to be a Scion, too proud to ask to be a Chancellor.
And I would highly suppose too proud to ask to become a member of the Church of Morius.
Whether it this pride is an asset or a curse, I simply do not know, but am unlikely to change.
And I would like to think that Father would be proud.
