Description
Focusing your attention on this lithe and slender half-drow is an easy task.
Her raven black hair frames her chocolate skin before falling down around her
shoulders. With eyes that glimmer a ruby red, prominent cheekbones, and full
lips, she's quite simply enthralling. However, though her nimble movements
and darting glances betray her profession as a skilled thief, there's some-
thing else about her that communicates a sense of dedication, even honor. It
might be the esteemed way she carries herself, the meticulous attention to
her surroundings, or even quite perceptible passion burning in her eyes, but
something tells you there's more to this woman than pickpocketing and shadow-
hiding. Upon even closer examination, you see that...
Role
Dedication to the Cause

My name is Nezerbekna and I come from Tir-Talath. My father was a warrior named Dor
Grilroth and my mother a conjurer named Arzebretisha. I never knew my mother because
she was assassinated shortly after I was born. Father told me that it had something to do
with their unpopular union and my birth being more than certain folks could handle. He
never found out who was behind the murder and died recently without a chance at rev-
enge. Though my parents have perished along with my ideas of innate good in the world,
I seek to fulfill the dream that both of them shared... peace in all of Thera. It is a lofty goal
but I believe I can make a difference with my skills in thievery. Using cunning, daring,
concealment, deception, and, of course, stealing, I shall take money, weapons, and even
pride from the warmongers that scorch the land and its people. These wars pit race against
race and for what? So that my own Mother could be killed to such hate? No... I shall avenge
her death and dedicate myself to what my parents stood for... one knock-out trap at a time.
An Obstacle in the Road

Over the last couple of years, I have learned much in the art of thievery. Many a foe has lost
his weapons, potions, and even temper to my well-placed traps. I feel that my work is
making a difference in the world, albeit a small one. However, I've learned more about the
Empire and seen the huge difference that they continue to make in the land. Worldwide
peace will be a long time in coming, but I believe that the Empire has the best chance of
establishing this peace. Though I do not plan on joining their ranks, I am very sympathetic
to their cause. They have the power, the numbers, and the will to dominate the Opposition.
The Empire is also dedicated to their cause and this sits very well with me. In fact, I
appreciate any form of dedication I come across, even in my enemies. Dedication is the
most important means to accomplishing your goals in life. Furthermore, my original goal
hasn't changed and I will continue to be a major obstacle in a road leading towards chaos
and war. To this end, I will only keep what I need to sustain myself, pay guild dues, and
aid overlapping causes. Some will be stored for selling later or to benefit guildmates. The
rest will be sacrificed to Aarn. May He lead me towards what I seek.
The Roadside Reaper

Illegal name, try another.
Name: life. Over the past couple of years, I've done my best
to aid the efforts of the Empire while staying loyal to my fellow thieves and guild. I have
dealt with many a warmonger in my time, my traps stopping them dead in their tracks.
However, several of these warmongers have gone on to become Imperial Blood Oaths. I
thought that such a move would reign in their chaotic practices and indoctrinate them in
orderly Imperial ways, but this has not happened. Spurred by their newfound allies and
ever the bloodthirsty, these Oaths only carry on with their warmongering, but with added
zeal and with reckless abandon. Furthermore, I have pledged my services to the like many
a time, hoping perhaps to show them where to better dedicate their efforts, but time and
time again, I have been shunned. If this is the future of the Empire, then I weep for a
world that might ever come under their rule. From this moment forward, I shall rededicate
myself to the cause of bringing peace to this world and no organization shall be spared my
efforts to do so. I will continue to aid where I see the best chance for peace, but I will cut
my tenuous allegiance to the Empire immediately. I am the Roadside Reaper and no war-
monger shall be safe. As my parents would've had it, peace will one day reign in Thera.
