Description

A five foot tall felar stand here before you. The lower portion of his body is covered with a thick gray fur, as the gray mat can be spotted poking out of seams in his clothing. As the fur tracks up his body, around his waist, it starts to turn into almost a very thick human like hair covering most of his muscular torso. His face is very cat like in structure. Pointed ears flicker ever so slightly as they hang on tight upon the side of his head. Bright green eyes rest upon a feline nose with a few whiskers desperately reaching out to either side of his face. Tight lips press firm against long, ivory fangs which drop down six inches forming a sharp point at the tip. Wild and nappy, a deep black hornet's nest of hair cascades down his back side as it forms a crude pony-tail, bound in many spots with leather cord. Slash marks are noticed all over his exposed flesh and over most of his clothing. As you look closer, you notice that...

Where from little cat?

Nivaen has very few memories of where he came from and
how he got to where he is.  He remembers fire, screaming,
the smell of flesh burning off of bone.  He remembers
wandering, crying, tears burning his eyes.  Or perhaps
the burning sensation was smoke ?

Nivaen does remember waking up in the Swamps of Blackwater.
Not sure of how he arrived there and alone, Nivaen did what
came natural, he survived.  For years, he survived on a healthy
diet of swamp bugs and stagnant water.  Nivaen eventually taught
himself to hunt, making crude traps.  He taught himself how to
walk as the wind blows when moving about the swamp lands. Soon,
Nivaen began to thrive in this environment. And so it is here 
as our story begins...

Emergence

One day, as Nivaen set out upon his daily hunt to gather
fresh meat he stumbled upon a mortally wounded stranger.
Nivaen decided to try and help him.  Nivaen sprung out of
the tree, nimbly landing on the ground next to the stranger.
Nivaen used the knowledge he had acquired living on his own.
First he set the broken bones of the stranger, and used
blood letting techniques and eventually staunched the bleeding.
Come to find out, this stranger was a mage known as a shapeshifter.
He had been injured in a battle, and ended up falling out of the
sky from fatigue.  The mage landed roughly in the swamps.  

When Nivaen was done, all he could do was wait.  As they waited
together, the stranger told Nivaen many stories. Stories of Ancients
and of Thar-Eris.  He also spoke of a old tree, an ancient tree
to the east.

Not long after, the mage finally gave in to his injuries and passed
beyond this realm.

Broken hearted as his only friend in the world passed on, 
Nivaen left the swamps, seeking out this ancient tree so that
he will bring about the visions of Thar-Eris he had created
in his mind.

Religion

Nivaen follows Akresius.  He believes in the ways of Combat.
Nivaen lives to hunt, and hunts to live.  He does not believe
in long, drawn out, conversations, rather he looks for the 
excitement of blood boiling and blood spilling.  He believe in 
combat one on one, although in some situations, he realizes that
this is not always a possibility.  Nivaen tries to minimize the 
later.  He believes that a fight between two people is indeed
a form of art.  Sometimes looking as though rehearsed.

Nivaen seeks to one day prove himself worthy of being
branded with a sanguine chalice.

Nivaen personality

Nivaen is very selective on who he will travel with.
He normally tends to stay by himself although he will
hunt alongside those he feels have the same interests as
himself in mind.

Nivaen can be quite silly at times, making jokes to those
he feels closest with.  He can also be very reserved and
a bit stand offish to those who he is unsure about.

He refers to himself as Cat or Niv.  His speech can be very crude
most times, although every now and then he will say a word which
hints at some hidden wisdom.

Nivaen seeks a place amongst the Outlanders of Thar-Eris 
and actively tries to prove his worth to the pack.
