Description
The hair of this gnome is waist long and milky white. He ties it behind
himself in several braids, each wrapped with a ancient worn ribbon. He seems
young for a gnome, though it is hard to tell by just his appearance. You
immediately notice his eyes, bright green and spotted with deep stringy hues.
They seem to almost glow with their own light as they peer fourth into the
world around him. He dresses in a an odd assortment of leather armors, none
of which matches the next. His leather vest looks of Dwarven make, and his
leggings and breeches of elven, but surely two crafted by two separate
leathersmiths, if that is so. A backpack nearly as tall as this gnome clings
tightly around his shoulders, stuffed to the brim with cookware, keepsakes,
tools, and much more. A handstitched patch on the top of the pack reads "To
Nunak, love uncle Umor" with a sigil crest that displays a feint image of
Mortorn. A sidepouch resting on his left hip overflows with an assortment of
thread, rope, wire, and an impressive set of sewing needles.

backstory

Nunak was born within the Dwarven halls of Mortorn. His mother had never
planned to give birth so far from the grassy knolls of Hillcrest, but a
particularly harsh winter had driven the orcs to the roads in search of food
and supplies, and travel back down the mountain was just too unsafe with a
pregnant belly. The coin traded for their shipment of copper ore was far more
than enough to buy accommodations within the war torn halls, and that's where
they stayed to await the spring. The baby came just three weeks after being
stranded, which was a bit earlier than expected. The dwarves were encumbered
with wounded from the mines, and few priests had delivered a gnomish child
before. The birth was difficult, and proved too much for Nunak's mother. She
died in those halls, and the priests were left with the decision of what to
do with the child. A kind man named Umor who ran a small a shop called
"Adventures in liquids" agreed to raise him, as he was much too old to have a
child of his own.
As Nunak grew he found he had an affinity for tailoring, and would sew and
knit socks, gloves, and other accessories for the soldiers beneath the city.
He made many friends among the dwarfs, and his work became popular among the
traders, especially the eastern lands such as Hamsaa and Arkham. Many tales
of the bustling cities of civilization, and the wealth and adventure it holds
began to fill Nunak's head with dreams of fame and fortune. When his friends
became old enough to join the fight in the mines, he finally decided to leave
home.
Nunak plans to join the thieves guild in Hamsaa to gain enough influence
among it's people to open a sewing shop within the city. He hopes to join the
fabled Inn of Eternal Star and offer his skills as a tailor to further his
endeavors in Hamsaa.
