Description
Beautiful layers of thick auburn hair are trimmed, parted, and
styled to frame this man's visage almost to perfection.
Flawlessly unmarked skin with an almost glowing complexion
serve only to highlight his dazzling smile and a set of piercing
azure eyes. His posture is immaculate and his bearing almost
stoic in nature. Everything that he wears is polished, pressed
and careful articulated to accentuate his physique and complexion.
A dull mantle of supple leather and brushed metal protect his
torso and give off a simple ruddy hue. It fit snugly about his
chest and tapers down to a thin waistline which is adorned
with a thin sash-like belt. Draped below are intertwined, woven
cloth and leather that forms something resembling a cross
between kilt and robe. Making small swishing sounds as he
moves, it appears flexible yet very protective. Overall, he is
adorned with other armaments but these three tie everything
together but allow you to see one final bit and that is...

Thunder rolled in the distance and the faintly lingering flashes of lightning
left lightly illuminating traces of incandescence over the shadows of three
fallen individuals. Each struggling with the final gasping breaths that are so
closely associated with horribly slow and painful asphyxiation. Small traces
of some greenish tinged liquid, flecked with black granules, emanated from the
blood dripping from each of their mouths. Faint traces of mana, lingered in
puffing motes around only one of the individuals, the smallest and most frail
looking, yet the only one who continued to breathe.
Jumbled within his thoughts, amid all the pain and agony associated with the
magically concocted poisonous potion, were his resentment for them, his
parents. It was they that were holding him back, barring his progress,
stifling his more carnal desires with the local lasses, and they had earned
what was coming to them. Sadly, he did not anticipate the potent potential of
the concoction to also cause him so much pain and torment. Inside, it felt as
if he was dying, but he knew that couldn't be the case, he was too good to die
like this and all of his energy was focused on overcoming this obstacle.
He fought on for what seemed like hours, or maybe days, completely immobilized
in this hellish torment. It felt as if his body may simply be torn apart from
the inside out and just as he felt he could resist it any further, just when
he was about to lose his spirit, a small being arrived. The form was
indistinguishable with his fatigued vision but it gave him the tiniest bit of
energy that served as his motivation to live on. Eventually he began to
recover.
A gift of freedom. pt2

At first and the with the most quickness was his physical form. He was able to
move his body in only a few hours and could soon feed himself once more. All
the while, he was thinking back to having almost died, thinking back to what
these people had put him through.. parents. Not if they wanted to make him
submit to their selfish desires and not let him seek what he truly wished.
He'd go off and become an adventurer, earn himself some real fortune and be
recognized for the majesty that he's been born with. And, his first stop after
ransacking the farmhouse was Galadon, his future home.
He was surprised to find the city in such a shabby and gaunt state. There were
abandoned homes, even a mansion or two, trash on the streets, and some
loudmouthed crier who was yelling at the top of his lungs about joining the
"Empire". This place was almost beneath him in every since of the word. And
not long after sunset on the day of Great Gods, he strode down the city's
various streets to see which of the guilds was going to be lucky enough to
receive him as a student.
Visiting a great many guilds that night, some dark and dank, some bright and
loud, others more quiet and sinister but few of them catching his attention, he
found that he was turned away by each guild guardian. It wasn't until he made
his way to the hall of conjuration that he found some kinship, as the elemental
allowed him passage. Flashing in his mind, the figure that saved him not long
ago, he thought, must have been linked to these planes that the guild master
continually speaks about. It is this otherworldly power that sounds like
something he feels is worthy of his efforts.
Growth. Pt1

The inside of the Conjurer's guild was tidy, many ordered circles, depictions
of various creatures, angels and demons, and other somewhat unrecognizable
beings. It felt like home. It was the place he'd learn how to draw forth and
bind beings to him, they'd serve him, he thought. He spent hours and hours
learning the basics, weapon stances of dagger and axe, basic magic to form
small painful projectile-like missiles. It came pretty naturally to him.
Before long, he felt that he was ready for some adventure and he fought his way
through the academy, helping a few people who were clearly beneath him, just to
show them his majesty. But, then he left its' confines to pursue larger prey.
Outside of the academy wasn't much different from within, though the variety of
creatures he was encountering was rising at a phenomenal rate. Spiders,
centipedes, kobolds, goblins, each having their own anatomy, and their own
flavor. He couldn't explain it, but he found that after the one time his
hunger began causing him pangs and he decided to eat a few fingers of a fleshy
creature raw, he had a taste for it. Most of the creatures, he'd try a limb or
two, quickly learning what to eat, and what to avoid. Raw hearts are his
favorite, and he finds it troubling to let them go to waste, even those he
knows are poisonous. Still, he learned and progressed.
By the time he was twenty, he'd made his way to a middling title within the
guild and had went to study his most recently acknowledged magic, the
familiar. This was something that greatly excited him, it felt like an
eternity from when he'd joined the guild to then but once he uttered the words,
all seemed to fall into place. With the utterance of the last syllable, a tiny
imp fluttered up and landed upon his shoulder. He knew instantly that this was
the being that'd helped him survive, so long ago. Now, together, and serving
his will, they set out for further adventures.

Together with his Imp at his side, he was considerably more formidable. Foes
were screaming and faltering under the combined might of magic missiles and the
venom and hexes from Imp. When they'd killed and progressed some together, he
decided it would be wise to learn more of conjuration magic, if possible, and
he visited the Inn of Eternal Star. He was told their Lyceum was amongst the
best cashes of knowledge around, and it did not disappoint. He devoured it
all, stories of gods, villagers, minstrels, and magic, he did not discriminate.
It was then that he discovered several works outlining the inner and outer
planes, various makeups and connections they had, and a few books on language.
One of the Dark-elven books that caught his eye was of speech. Picking it
apart, he found that he favored several of the words and thought that this
language was far more pretty than his native tongue, so he decided to make it
useful by bestowing them to his name, taking Dro-Faern, as his last name, which
loosely translated to "Life-Wizard". After gleaning what he could from a few
more volumes, he decided to depart and keep climbing the guild ranks.
Although there were a few stumbles along the way, he rose enough to summon and
command the various elementals. All the while, learning and exploring the
lands. Eventually, he discovered the Church of Virtuous Vices, a place that
he'd long sought. After reading some excerpts from within its' texts, he felt
relieved and found a place to pray. It was then that he met the Vampire
Sanzahka. A being of great beauty, like himself. Their encounter was rocky to
begin but left him acknowledged as a Supplicant of Vanity and a new
appreciation for being able to view oneself in a mirror.
Lesson from the Woman of the Night

Experiences come and go, some are good and some not as much. The same can be
said about possessions, knowledge, power, or just about any tangible or
non-tangible. Sometimes this works to one's favor and sometimes not but nearly
always there is a lesson to be learned. Though, sometimes it isn't what would
be expected nor whom it would be expected for. This particular life lesson
took place in the desert city of Hamsah Mu'tazz.
The city is kind of a wondrous place. Within it's walls, a great deal of goods
can be purchased and the various shopkeepers have so many professions that it's
nearly impossible to find someone not willing to buy a specific item. This
makes it a great place to visit or call home. One afternoon, when the sun was
low in the sky, Nyofen was heading through the square when someone standing
near the Library's entrance caught his eye. She fawned over him and was ever
so sweet with her words, practically throwing herself at his feet. This felt
somewhat obvious to him but he decided to indulge the woman anyway. After all,
it wasn't every day that he'd grace someone with his presence.
He approached the woman and she humbled herself even further, taking his hand
and offering to fulfill his every lusty desire. She wasn't atrociously looking
by any man's standards, even his, and had a pleasing scent and shape. He
decided to indulge and offered her some coin. She led him into one of the
darker alley's, near the street of Dehab. From there, she began to undress,
and as he watched intently, everything went black!
Waking what appeared to be several hours later, by the moon's position, he
found himself groggy and disoriented. After he stood, he took an inventory of
his possessions and discovered both of his purses missing. Like a spark to dry
kindling, fury and rage erupted and through him. He made his way back to the
square and killed every single prostitute he could find. Although none of them
were her, it made him feel a little better. Henceforth, he often kills any of
them that ever make the offer in hopes that it'll be the one who did him wrong.
