Description
A tall, lean figure emerges from the shadows before you with skin smooth
and pale, seemingly untouched by the sun. His long, dark hair, neatly
slicked back, falls down behind him to below his shoulders. His eyes, a
deep blue, focus on you with a cold, calculating intensity. He wears
light-weight, darkened armor forged for maximum protection and no
restriction of movement. His weapons are well-crafted blades ready to be
used with swift, silent execution. Leather, worn down from countless
battles, wraps the hilts of his blades, their edges still gleam with a
razor-sharp lethality. His every breath, a reminder of his deadly intent,
the embodiment of silent death that strikes without notice, leaving only
whispers in his wake.
Role
Born in Shadow
Added Wed Jul 30 06:38:27 2025 at level 20:
Born in the slums of Seantryn Modan, Nyzharethul was the bastard son of a
merchants sinful night with a streetwalker. Abandoned by his mother, if
you could call her that, and with his father long gone, he had no memory
of his family, only stories whispered by others. His youth knew only
hunger, cruelty and survival, raised by the streets themselves. This
large port city was place forged of contrasts. Wealthy and poor, powerful
and weak, lawful and corrupt. Seantryn claimed order under the Empress,
her vast army, and the Blood Tribunal. But beneath all that, in dark
alleys and sewers, the city lived by its own rules, with corruption
rampant.
Nyzharethul learned from a young age how to survive in the underworld,
doing what he must to stay alive. Death, murder and worse became familiar
and normal to him. Where others used brute force, he struck with unseen
precision. When they brawled and fought, he sat in the shadows and waited
for the right moment to strike. As years passed, his reputation grew. and
he was accepted into the assassin guild. Used by the merchants, lords and
others as a shadow, a silent blade. He killed without hesitation, without
fear, then vanished like a ghost. Though through it all, Seantryn was
rotting under the surface. A city surviving that had no future with the
majority of citizens blind to the underbelly of the city. Nyzharethul had
no loyalty to this place, raised in pain, dark memories and silence. It
had shaped him, but he would not let it define him. He was ready to leave
this city.
Crossing the Aryth Ocean under a false name and blood-soaked coin, he
headed north to the desert city of Hamsah Mu'tazz. Immediately this city
gave him a profound feeling. Imperial soldiers marched proudly in
gleaming armor, commanding respect and feared by all. They were enforcers
of a rising power, the Empire, a place once in ruins, now a force reborn
and driven by absolute law. Not the stagnant Blood Tribunal, but a
dominion forged through submission or annihilation. Cities would swear
their blood oaths or burn. Nyzharethul was enthralled, consumed by their
ideals. It had purpose where the strong ruled. His skills as an assassin
would thrive. As an assassin under the Empire, he would kill from the
shadows and cull the weak. He would rise in power through the imperial
ranks as they spread their dominion across Thera.
He had come from nothing. Born in chaos, shaped by pain and violence but
has found order and purpose with the Empire's ideals. What others fear,
he had become. A shadow that strikes without mercy, his name whispered in
silence with their final breath.

Imperial Contract
Added Mon Aug 11 23:10:00 2025 at level 30:
The Empress Felyndiira herself has entrusted me with a worthy quest.
A powerful giant once held the Gauntlets of Devilry. His death and those
gauntlets are my offering.
By Her command, these gauntlets are to be placed into the hands of Lord
Nycruvae himself, at his shrine south of Aturi. The task is bound in
blood and law with ten elven days to complete.
The Empress promises elevation within the Empires ranks should I
succeed. A worthy reward i seek to earn. I accepted without hesitation.
The giant is slain, even though it was thought beyond my abilities, and
the gauntlets are mine.
I have located the shrine, though found it cold and silent. The Lord has
not yet appeared before me. Until He does, I will keep the gauntlets
secured, ready to deliver at his command.
Glory to the Empire
Added Wed Aug 20 01:18:47 2025 at level 34:
It has been some years now, and life in the Empire is everything I have
expected and more. I continue to cull those now worthy to take the oath
and be among us. Only the strong will join us in darkness and order as
our dominion spreads throughout the lands. I am loyal to my duties, and
we have had many enemies at the palace door. I believe I have shown great
strength and determination, though I am yet to be given a promotion past
shadow dweller. My patience will guide me, and will continue to do my
duty, and I am sure it will come. My name now whispered in fear by others
as my reputation spreads throughout the lands. Glory to the Empire!
It's a trap
Added Wed Aug 20 01:45:33 2025 at level 34:
I am ready for my duty this day, and the villagers have taken the mighty
Codex. The Dread Lady and I head straight to the barbarian village and
await it to be placed. We have enemies ready to strike us, but
immediately without a thought I tell the dread lady to keep the enemy at
bay while I slay their guardian. It is a success, and soon the Codex is
back where it belongs.
I then see several rangers and an orc wandering the land. All must be
culled as they have no place in the Empires vision. I hunt all over, and
yet the orc evades me. I soon find one ranger cowering in a cave. He
foolishly steps out of his cover, which is all I needed, and soon he is a
rotting corpse. I then continue the hunt for the other two rangers with
the orc now out of reach. They hide well in their trees, fearful of
leaving their precious wilds. Then I see a storm warrior from the
fortress roaming the lands, a sword specialist that needs to be
eradicated. Soon I track him down to the Azreth Wood and a battle ensues.
Convulsing and no match for my skill, he manages to limp back to the
safety of Galadon, but just barely. I am patient and wait in the shadows
and again strike him on the north road, but yet again he barely escapes
my grasp. I would not let him live this day, and return to the Azreth
Wood for a third and final battle. Finally, I slay him, and he learns the
power and glory of the Empire.
But it was a trap! Two rangers whom I did not locate were waiting in
ambush. One steps out and strikes me, and I send him running while still
killing the storm giant. But then the second ranger steps out and also
ambushes me!. I kill one of the pack, the second barely escapes and the
third will rue the day he stole my kill. He boasts of his prowess, but it
took three of them in their attempt to take me down but still failed to
do so. We will see how strong he really is, like he boasts. He is now
marked for death, and he now knows I am coming for him.
Darkness and Order
Added Thu Sep 11 23:54:03 2025 at level 39:
The Empire endures even with our numbers fewer now. Many of my brothers
and sisters have fallen. Standing tall until their ultimate demise, but
now only dust on the wind. I, however, stand loyal against the rising
tide of outlanders, villagers and fort heretics. The war has grown larger
than ever. The wild grows with many who defy us. Fort members rally
behind stone and steel. Enemies walk in defiance of Imperial Law.
But the Empire does not falter and will never fall as long as I draw
breath. I use my concealment and the shadows to strike swiftly and carry
out the Empires will. I infiltrate and cull our enemies where I can.
Even with blood soaking our borders, I carry out my duty. Our work is not done.
I remain loyal, unshaken and unbroken.
Darkness and order will endure.
