Description
You look upon a moderate sized human, standing no more than six feet tall.
His face has a distinctive look about him, and his pale white face carries
no blemish upon it. His brown hair falls down past his ears and save for
the part down the middle, would most likely cover his eyes. His eyes
are a dim blue, much like the faded surcoat he wears about his torso.
A silver belt overlaps the surcoat though no buckle appears to fasten it.
His brown trousers are baggy about the ankle and have a few tears about
the knee though pale in comparison to the condition of his footwear. His
boots, which might have been white once upon a time are now a dark grey.
He holds himself neither upright nor hunched and the look upon his face
exhibits an odd unchanging look of alertness and curiosity.
His nose is often found scrunched, and his eyebrows turned in with
a thoughtful gaze.

His conversations with the Lord Phaelim and his followers taught Oltrambel much,
as he saw the bias and emotion restrained in others. He himself still struggled with it
from time to time, allowing anger and confusion to control him but these situations were infrequent.
With caution, he sometimes allowed himself to speak with those tainted in darkness
in an effort to understand the reason behind their ways. Yet he was ever watchful that he himself
allowed none to corrupt what he held dear. Oltrambel in his journeys looked for a purity, an innocence
not easily found, one that he hoped he still held within him in the recesses of his soul.
Returning to roots and heritage.

During his search for what he thought to be a search for purity, he found himself
returning to him place of upbringing, Tir Talath. There he spoke with Diana and others
and he asked them something he had often been afraid to ask. What had happened to his parents.
Oltrambel expected a story of sadness and tragedy, as he had no memory of his father
or mother and his first memories were of the mages of Tir Talath.
Instead, they told him that his father and mother were most likely still alive, though
would be quite old by now. Amazed and intrigued, Oltrambel begged them for more information.
They would only tell him that his parents had ventured into the unknown lands to the north
and had not planned to return. As for the reason they went, they would not tell Oltrambel but they
said that they left him with them for his protection, as the cold climate would be too taxing
on a baby.
Confused, but somehow relieved, Oltrambel felt no resentment towards his parents. He trusted
that they're reason for abandoning him were just ones.
The mages in Tir Talath, seeing the maturity of Oltrambel were pleased and told him one
last thing before Oltrambel continued his search elsewhere. They said that he now deserved
to bear the name of his family. They said that from now on, they would call him
Oltrambel Undecis, the family name of the father he had never met. Oltrambel had never heard of
Undecis, but he accepted the honor with a smile, thanked his past mentors and returned to the road.
Purity forsaken.

Oltrambel, during his search for purity and innocence faltered. He succumbed to the
temptations of greed, letting it blind his judgement and seep into his heart.
He murdered the innocent.
Following his actions, he laid his head to rest but he found no peace. Instead,
he dreamed. He dreamed of a man killing out of greed. The man then looked into a mirror
and Oltrambel realised that this was not a normal dream at all. The face in the mirror
was his own, only changed. No longer was his face fair and pure to look upon. There was only
desire in the eyes of the face staring back at him.. Horrified and stricken with grief,
Oltrambel awoke, shooken. He sought out the Lord Phaelim and told him of his actions.
Following their meeting, Oltrambel no longer was imbued with any of the insight Lord Phaelim
had guided him to on his search.
Oltrambel continues to struggle on, lost, hoping someday he can find the path to purity
he had once treaded, though he wonders if that is even a possibility.
Upbringing

Raised with apprentices of magic of the same age in the Tower out of Tir Talath,
Oltrambel was constantly told he needed to view the balance in the realm and all about him.
He listened attentively to his mentors and never shared his disaccord with their beliefs.
Oltrambel could not see the balance in some of the horrid stories he had heard of the outside world.
Try as he did, a feeling of unsettlement would come about him when creatures of evil taint
were spoken of. In an attempt to understand his feelings, he immersed himself in the books
his mentors had surrounded him with and learned as much as they would allow him about the creatures
they had deemed evil.
He was amazed that though it was clear to many of the so called wise that Thera suffered
from their presence yet they did nothing but document and reflect. Oltrambel saw the need
for reflection yet thought it fruitless if it did not bring out decision and action in
the stead of this reflection.
He had heard of of a Lord Phaelim who saw the need for reflection, but yet knew that
purpose must accompany his uneasiness. Thus he set out to find this Lord, and pledge his
unending allegiance to his faith.
Search

Oltrambel searched long for the place of worship of the Lord of reason until finally,
through no more than a stroke of luck he came upon it. There, he found the Lord Phaelim
awaiting him where they proceeded to speek at length on several subjects. Lord Phaelim's knowledge
astounded Oltrambel and he left their meeting content, though utterly confused. He was not sure
whether he had found the purpose to accompany the need for tedious analysis though he was certain
that he had taken a step in the right direction. Following their meeting, he strived to control his
emotions, even in the most unsettling circumstances, even in the throws of combat. He was rarely successful
at first though slowly he learned to channel his emotions so as they did not always hold sway over him.
He still had many questions in his head and was still not sure of his goal or purpose on this earth,
though he was well into his search for it. Having felt some positive strides were made, he sought out
Lord Phaelim again.
