Description

This saurian female is an interesting being to look at. Her scales are seemingly hard and tough, but hold a translucent quality. They are like windows through into the inner flesh of the saurian. YOu can see the blood pumping through her body, her muscles winding and relaxing as she moves about. Her face is the most frightening, in that the flesh and scales there too are translucent. YOu can see her reptilian skull through the flesh. It shows a bright white, with cracks of red, blood red, crisscrossing it. Her eyes are oblong and you notice the attachment of eyes disappearing backward. The whole sockets rotate and move as she looks around. Her tongue flicks out from its holding place in her mouth, pink and split in the middle. Small fangs jet from her mouth and when she closes her mouth, they stick out from her bottom and top lip. The whole image is grotesque and disguesting and not a sight for children or adults.

Role

The Shame of Being Born

Although being born should be without shame, and a celebration,
when you are Osvolisso, you are born with a mutation that made
your skin transparent. This oddity of nature brought down the full
force of shame from the societies of Thera. Even the saurians
who accepted variation found Osvolisso's condition disgusting
and insulting. To see the pumping blood and organs through her
skin grossed out the children, and disgusted the aged adults.
Out of their mouths, their aura, and their very being came
waves of shame at Osvolisso even from a very early age.

"You are disgusting!", one child saurian would point. 

"That onesss should never breed and be killed off." another
saurian adult would say.

This endless bombardment of Shame had a deep and disturbing
affect on Osvolisso. From that very young age, endlessly being
bombarded by these harmful words and actions, Osvolisso believed
it to her core. She would wince away and hide her face from
any who would come near. She absolutely hated being greeted
or talked to, or even worse, looked upon, as being looked
upon activated all the shame. She would hide herself in folds
of cloak from a very young age. To the point she was chased
out of the saurian village for being so disgusting, and so
she went to the Galadon shapeshifter guild to seek growth.

But that made it worse....

The saurian society was more forgiving than those of all
of the civilized societies. Even though they were brutal,
Osvolisso was not prepared for the sheer tidal wave of
shame, disgust, and bullying she received from a very
young age. It was an endless assault upon her self worth
and that assault continued to do deep and horrid damage.

Finding Her Place with Mage and Shapeshifting

What better place to go if you are disgusted with how you
look than a guild that you can change shape. That is why
Osvolisso ended up toying with the shapeshifting magicks.
The relief of shifting into something mundane and not
noticeable was so desireble, and so powerful, that she
sought it with reckless abandon. Even here although the
endless shame made her think she was not even worthy
to walk on the land itself, and thus chose her focus
to be first Water beings, and then Air beings. So disgusted
with herself, she self banishes herself to the edges of
Thera. Either high above out of sight, or in the depths
and darkness, out of sight. 

This is how she continued through most of her young
life. She gained power as she could, staying out on the
fringes of all societies. There, a realization began
to congeal in her mind. She noticed something, and noticed
something huge....

There is no Shame in Thar-Eris

In the quiet of the depths, the blackness, Osvolisso floated
in the waters. Monsters of all kinds, shapes, and mutations
floated around her. Each of them gave her a wide berth, not
because she was disgusting to look at, but because of her
inherent power. They did not walk away due to shame, but
instead they gave her respect in her place in the wilds. There
was no shame, no judgment. Her looks didn't matter, her
skin transparency didn't matter, her ugliness didn't matter.

Floating there she realized her path, and her way. She
knew this was her place, and that it was her place in Thar
Eris to bring the shameful judgments of others to task.
She would be the wrath of Shame. 

Know her own internal Shame has not been resolved. She continues
to struggle with this life long abuse. She waffles from
confident to shameful. She hides her face from many who
still look at her. At times she hisses and revolts loudly
when greeted, feeling unworthy. But each kill against
those who shamed her, those in society that embrace judgment
and shame, something slowly is rising inside of her.

Shamers Shame does not stop Nightreaving

She has spend so much time being the target of shame, that it has
tainted her very flesh. Her mind screams she is a beast of the
wilds and that shame is only a projection from those that do not
understand.

Over time Osvolisso has become more confident with her previous
choices of air and water beasts. Her shame she felt during her
initial choice has become confidence. She has found ways to hunt
unique and dangerous and through that has brought Death to those
that represent the shamers of society and civilization. 

Out of the mists came voices of the dark ancients. They have seen
Osvolisso grow out of simmering in the shame piled on her from
others, to a confident beast of the Cycle and wilds. They saw it
and sought now to rise Osvolisso to the Nightreaver.

A moment of hesitation, of doubt crept in when that was asked
by the dark ancients. In that moment, Osvolisso made the choice
to quiet the voices of shaming caused by the decades of society
piled on. In that moment, she made that choice to be the beast
of the Cycle. To be a creature where looks do not matter, only
effectiveness. The Cycle cares little for looks, only if you can
survive and thrive.

Osvolisso is surviving and thriving. Death begins to know her
name.

Rarywey, the Water, the Fate, the Death

Osvolisso's shame followed her for decades, but she is growing
out of it. Part of that growth was she wanted to prove to
herself that she could rise above it and press back on the
shamers. She has done that now, and her desire was to approach
Rarywey with growth and be a server of Death to those that
ruin the Cycle and Thar-Eris. 

The time has come to make herself known to Rarwey and to learn
the teachings of the Goddess that governs Death, Water, and Fate.
Osvolisso is a creature of each, born of water and air, seeker
of death and destruction of the shamers, and its a path dictated
long ago as the shamers placed their shame upon her. 

The meetings was enlightening to say the least. Rarywey saw
Osvolisso as she is. Saw her transparency not only in flesh but
also in purpose and desire. A focus of task and execution, and 
she was named one of her followers as the one who is transparent
and clear purpose. The Pellucid, as she is called, also represents
water and its transparency and the ability to see purpose through
it. 

Last, Rarywey spoke to Death and of Death. She said that Osvolisso
name is known to Death on a first name basis. Osvolisso has become
a predator in Thar Eris, and seen by Death itself. As the cloud
of shame continues to lift, the purpose is clear, and Rarywey is
her teacher.
