Description

Before you is a tall figure with dark colored skin which has a bluish tint to it. His skin appears to be well taken care of as it smooth and unblemished by any scars or marks. His white hair is closely cut on the sides while his long hair on the top is pulled back and held in place by unknown means. He lacks any sort of muscular tone, and by looking at his well manicured fingers one can guess why. His slightly pointed ears, accented along with his almond shaped violet eyes give away part of his heritage. A smug smirk appears to be etched upon his face, and his eyes radiates self confidence as he looks at those around him. His garments appear to be well kept and in place, as if he takes great pride in his image.

Role

Padosh Summary

Added Thu Apr 27 05:56:08 2017 at level 1:
A half-drow who was born and raised underground by his human mother, he had a
sheltered childhood to keep him hidden from his father. His mother would
constantly tell him how special he was and how one day he would be great and
powerful within the world. As such, Padosh grew to think he was meant for
greatness and that the world should bend to his wishes. It was here that the
root of his vanity and ego was born, as he was never told no.

Fear of being discovered by Padosh's father, his mother gave him into the
care of the Planar Sanctum who sought to train him in the arcane arts. Padosh
had an affinity to all of the elements, however he refused to be associated
with anything dealing with lightning. While he was very tallented and had
great potential in the eyes of his teachers, Padosh's stubborn streak and his
blatant disregard for authority would lead him to be cast out of the
Sanctum. It wasnt so much that Padosh sought to break the rules and laws, but
he just did not see any value in them. He believes that his own conscience is
his best guide, and tying himself to any given code of conduct would be
limiting his own ability to do what he wishes and to limit his potential for
power.

Fear of Lightning:

Added Thu Apr 27 05:56:41 2017 at level 1:
With Padosh being born underground and raised during most of his childhood
within caverns, he was never exposed to the open sky. Perhaps it was a cruel
joke but upon the night which his mother brought him from underground into
the world, a storm was raging. As lightning danced across the sky and thunder
shook the ground, Padosh clung to his mother with fear in his eyes for the
first time. More so it was on this night that she gave him up to the Planar
Sanctum, where he would never again see his mother. This only re-enforced his
fear of lightning as he associates it with abandonment and lack of control
over his own fate.
When introduced into invocation and the elements, Padosh refused to learn and
study lightning. He did not wish to have others see his fear as it would hurt
his image and make him appear weak. As he grew, Padosh's fear of lightning
grew as he had more to lose should any ever see his weakness and topple the
image he had constructed of himself. Though no longer does it incapicate him
from action, instead now it enrages him into fits where he wishes to destroy
any who would wield such power. Such actions would display his own power and
remove any threats to his stability, so he would deem his actions as clearly
justifiable and within cause.

This is why he has an affinity of 0 in lightning and a sligh higher boost in
Earth as it was what he knew as a child.

The Ego and Image

Added Thu Apr 27 05:58:41 2017 at level 1:
Perception is reality, or so Padosh believed. While that of his arcane powers
would take him to great heights, a well cultivated image would make him a
legend in his own eyes. Padosh believed that his mother had abandoned him and
given him up to the Sanctum because of his weak nature, even though this was
furthest from the truth. However it was the driving force for Padosh to build
up and maintain an image. Looking at his life, one can easily see how all his
actions were driven by the need to build and protect said image.
Padosh's main goal is power, and at a brief glance it seems that he is
willing to do absolutely anything for it. However he shows from time to time
that there are things that still matter to him such as loyalty to any who
would be blessed to call him a friend. Some would call him a really selfish
and greedy guy who tries to be good to show off but doesn't really know how
to. Though he has a disregard for everyone else unless there is something to
be gained from them. But it is his ego that will often betray him, as if you
can get him to give his word he will follow through no matter the cost as he
would not wish to hurt his image in the eyes of the public. But Padosh wont
soon forget those who would seek to use his powers.

Since emerging within the world:

Added Sat Apr 29 13:48:15 2017 at level 19:
Much has happened to Padosh as he set out into the world to gain power and
prestige. He has found that not being constrained to a set dogma or morality
has allowed him to expand his potential and power! Perhaps some of it could
also be attributed to his outstanding personality as he can often talk people
into doing what he wishes.

Yet not satisfied with how he was, Padosh trained his Charisma much to the
shock of the trainer. Padosh clearly could understand why the trainer was
confused, for why would someone so smooth and charming need to be more so?
Well, clearly this trainer did not know of the greatness that stood before
him. Let others train their muscles and quickness, it will be for naught.

Another life even which has placed Padosh upon an interesting path was him
finding his way to the Barons of Chaos. A group (if one could call them such)
who embrace the raw essence of magic within the world. Unfettered by laws of
magic and structure, allowed to embrace the pure flow of magic. To them he
pledge himself, as any great (and quite humble) magi would and should do.
Greatness and power shall be his, now more then ever there is no doubt.

Chaos that brings us power:

Added Sat Apr 29 13:50:11 2017 at level 19:
While traveling with minions of the Empire (clearly they will never amount to
anything), Padosh was growing annoyed at the dark knight which they traveled
with. This "duergar" who walked in his presence and hardly gave him any
notice. Here he stood, blessing this group with his power and being relegated
to simply casting spells. Well, upon speaking with a Dwarf Aleontier, he
seemed quit eager to know the location of this Duergar. More so, he called
Padosh "Master Magi"! Well now, here is one who knows who he is speaking
with! Padosh gave Aleontier the location of where the duergar was killing,
and upon such the death soon followed.

Granted Aleontier rambled on and on about how the value of elven lives
mattered, yet Padosh tuned him out. All he heard was the honorific title of
"Master Magi" when he spoke, while himself poking through the corpse of the
Duergar. One less to challenge his greatness, and a new one who would praise
him, Padosh indeed has found his place within this world.

It was this that gave Padosh an insight on how to bring Thera to love him, to
seek him out and rely upon him. If there is ever conflict and war, there
shall be a need for those who are not tied to a side. Especially those who
hold power and can be bought or influenced. Of which Padosh believes himself
to be both of these. Padosh seeks to continue to fan the conflict within
Thera and rile up each side. Forever seeking to destroy any alliance or peace
which may be formed, because in peace that would allow others to gain power
and rival him.

To break one with insanity. Whispers upon the wind

Added Sun May 7 15:10:43 2017 at level 33:
There are few that have drawn the ire of Padosh, but those of the Village
have done so. Trying to kill Padosh is nothing new as others have tried and
done so. It is to be expected that so many would be interested in him. To
seek to have a piece of someone so powerful.

Yet the Villager, where to being. Time and time again Padosh has made
attempts to speak with some in to travel or for conversation. They hold to
some archaic structure however, which limits their possibility and blinds
them. Do they not know that they were created from magic?? Do they not know
that by embracing such they can get a bit closer to the greatness which is
Padosh? Fools, yet understandable. Dzuxoks though, Dzuxoks you messenger.
Like so many before, Dzuxoks struck at Padosh's guild within Galadon. An all
too familiar sight, as there was no doubt a younger one too shy to speak to
Padosh and wanted to meet him. It happens quite often. However when speaking
with Dzuxoks, he had the NERVE to call Padosh "common" and even mocked his
charismatic charm!

Well now, as if the other slights had not been enough, this perhaps was the
last straw. Clearly there must be some sort of jealousy deep within their
minds, to lash out at greatness. Perhaps they did not have what it took, and
instead fell upon some "basic" skills and found themselves within the
village. More so, when Padosh attempted to speak with Dzuxoks (because
clearly he had something to say, I mean he DID come to the guild) he IGNORED
him! The nerve!

Well then, this is clearly the sign of one imbalanced and going mad, and
Padosh has taken it upon himself to help this assassin go further into the
madness. Perhaps once he is broken, he will let go of that which is holding
him back. Perhaps then he will admit to his inner demons and embrace
greatness. Padosh can only hope.

Thus is how Padosh uses the whispering wind, to speak what clearly they must be thinking.
To get them to embrace such and be free of any structure and rules.

Lessons Learned

Added Tue May 9 18:02:52 2017 at level 33:
Terial intrigued Padosh greatly as he was a magi outside of his own guild. A
chance to study and open the mind of another, and perhaps gain insight and
power in his own right. However Padosh clearly could not just GIVE something
for nothing, it would damage his image that he has crafted and molded.

Padosh had just come into possession of some powerful manacles. Knowing those
of the Tribunal use such in their investigations, Padosh wanted to see how it
could affect another. Now, who in their right mind would willingly place
shackles upon their own wrist? Clearly Terial.

With such, Terial placed them upon his own wrist and Padosh saw their affect.
Rather vicious things and he was quite right in not placing them upon his own
wrist. However Padosh thought to twist the mind a little more and see if this
young mage could prod the secretes of such out of the Holy Ishuli. Planting
the seed within Terial's mind, Padosh insuiated that such was done because
Terial was chaotic. Alas, such mysteries would not be unleashed to Padosh,
and young Terial was freed from the shackles. But Padosh is nothing but
generous when gaining knwoeldge and he sought out garments for young Terial.

Alas, Terial had taken rest and Padosh was left with the articles. Fate (if
you believe in such confining things) would have it however another young
transmuter was about! An elven soul named Soko was about and Padosh figured
to grace him with the articles since Terial was no longer about. Though
Padosh found Soko was a bit stuck in his own dogma and limited himself to a
way of thinking which did not allow growth and possibility. A shame really,
but Padosh had already gained what he wanted and really it did not matter.

Gifts and Gods!

Added Tue May 23 12:59:15 2017 at level 38:
Well, Padosh saw an Anathema Imperial and thought to use such to his benifit.
I mean, if you can sew discord within two organizations of order then it
opens up possibilities for ones own power grab. Think of it! Empire seeking
retribution against Tribunals for taking in one which they marked for death!
With such a squabble, one side or the other would CLEARLY call upon Padosh to
aid them!

As Padosh spoke with Gangrus and attempted to direct him to the Holy Ishuli,
a strange thing happened. Gangrus spoke with reverance within his voice, and
vowed that he would sacrifice himself to Padosh and the great chaos. That he
would give his blood to him and all the tribute that Padosh truly deserved
(if he does not say so himself).

Padosh traveled to the altar of chaos in which offerings was left to him, and
as such found the corpse of Gangrus. Truly, Gangrus knew how deserving of
the offerings and power Padosh was worthy of, and even left him his specially
baked cookie with his name! Yet modest as always, Padosh knew that he should
perhaps give acknowledgement to the Holy Ishuli. For it was to her that he
was going to sacrifice Gangrus, and not his fault that Gangrus was so
infautated with himself. Padosh may be many a things, but he is always
sincere in his actions and his word is ever his bond. So a sacrifice to
Ishuli there would be! Within the offerings, Padosh found a cookie specially
made for Gangrus and to the fact that he still held onto it, clearly showed
how special it was. This rare one of a kind cookie would be the great
offering. Not wanting to offend Holy Ishuli any further (for what goddess
wouldn't be offended at being blown off by Gangrus!) Padosh decided to make
the offer at the Lyceum. It was here that the humble Padosh offered up the
cookie.

And lo! The holy Ishuli came before Padosh and blessed him with her presence!
So astonished at Padosh and his offer (some may even say his beauty and
grace) that the Holy Ishuli took the gift! More so, Padosh truly believes
that Ishuli thought to offer him something of power too! Truly if Holy Ishuli
recognizes the power within Padosh, none can argue! With the divine gift,
knowledge flowed through Padosh, of which shall ever push him forward to
greater power!

The thrill of attention, bounty of the gods, and surrounded by morons

Added Fri May 26 16:06:41 2017 at level 41:
Within the realm, Padosh has been sought by many. Be it to travel, or to get
ones service, or simply to bask within his presence! There have been a few
who sought the last, and in their zealous attempt to get close to him and
feel his presence, they may have been a bit too rambunctious. They could have
just asked and he would have signed something for them, no doubt. More so,
Padosh does not discriminate to whom he will speak with or travel with. Be it
more interesting to break the norm and introduce a bit of free thought into
their lives. Perhaps from such he will learn their power and their secretes.
Who can deny one so great as Padosh? Whom else has a goddess of the spire
given a gift to? Whom else has a god placed a bounty upon! Clearly they see
this shining star and are drawn to him!
However that is beside the point. With fame comes unlimited power that is
not afforded to all! Only those who throw off "possibilities" and
probabilities will be unhindered to fully immerse themselves in the true
power which was given by the Violet Spider. With each experiment that he
throws himself into, he has come out stronger and more powerful each time! He
has learned a great deal now on the affects of an enlarged tongue and how he
may use it to his advantage. Yet he is surrounded by a quagmire of idiots
and buffoons who attempt to dim the power which he seeks. They seek to be the
clowns of the world and prattle on like a dim wit with drool forming at the
mouth. Let them! They dip only their toe into the pool of chaos and power,
fearful of what lies deep within. There is no fear, there is no limit. He
shall fully submerge

The spread of Chaos is ever flowing

Added Mon May 29 11:26:28 2017 at level 46:
What can be said of a Baron with true skill? One who no one ever expects to
be such, so they are more open and susceptible to new thoughts which erode
ever so slightly at their order. Such can be said of Padosh and his travels
of late. While some Barons walk around acting the fool, marking themselves a
criminal for no reason other then it is "What is expected" (what conformity I
must say), Padosh has been seeking a higher goal.

Never limiting himself into one role or expectation, Padosh weaves an ever
flowing tale which can contort on a whim. Always keeping those off balance,
never allowing them to pin him down into a mold which would limit his power.
Padosh recently enraged the Black Servant Fargus of the Empire, so much so he
abandoned the order within his hear! Fargus struck at Padosh within Galadon,
and embraced true Chaos without any results! Not only did Padosh escape from
such an action, neither did the law of the Spire get enforced. Rather, Padosh
used such to show Fargus a new way free of the constraints of the limits
placed upon him. Granted he IS a giant and not all that bright so it did not
take much to turn his mind.

Truly the gods of chaos smiled upon Padosh with these actions, as soon after
he was given the gift of a Provost. He was approached by Provost Saxowhatever
asking him to travel with him and another so that all may gain in power!
Music to Padosh's ears, as of course he would accept such homage and praise
to him from the leaders of the Spire. Truly, allowing chaos to grow right in
their presence and more so allowing Padosh to show them how powerful one who
truly accepts and embraces chaos can be! It was only out of Padosh good
graces did he allow the provost to live as he weakly slept at his feet. To
think, the leaders of Tribunal helping chaos grow! More so, the provost then
called in another Tribunal to travel with them, exposing yet more to Padosh's
glory!

Rhyme time within the Lyceum (or what one must do to gain knowledge)

Added Mon May 29 11:40:32 2017 at level 46:
Padosh has been working upon an idea that has been forming within his head.
From his early learning within the Sanctum, he knew the power of the
elements. More so, how there are planes to these elements where beings of
untold power live! Beings of true chaos, as their form can not be contained
within this realm, and where pitiful conjurers seek to harness and enslave
them. Fools, you can only hold back the true power of chaos for but a brief
moment before it finds the cracks and breaks free!

Well, those of the Sanctum have been tight lipped upon these realms, and
Padosh has sought to learn more of such things. Where else could one go but
to the great Lyceum! I mean it WAS there that the holy lady gave him such
gifts, so it must be a nexus of power. As Padosh tried to get in, the
guardian DARED to deny him access! The great and powerful Padosh! The nerve,
but it is ok as the guardian Im sure does not get current events and
knowledge being stuck there. Luckly for Padosh, the Whimsical Rhyming
Rhapsodist Whildur was within the realms. Shocked by Padosh's great mastery
of words and poetry, Lord Whildur could not but help grant Padosh access into
the Lycum! More so, Padosh even caused Lord Whildur to admit that Padosh was
indeed a true master of tongue and words. It is great to be acknowledged for
one's own greatness.

Once within the Lyceum Padosh went to work looking for any and all
information of elementals and their realms. If he could only tap into the
true source, and embrace the mana source which seems to flow from these
planes he would be unstoppable! Also within the pages of an ancient tome
Padosh came across that of Demielemtal Transcendence. Where he could be
taught to become more like an elemental! This has also peeked his interest as
if he can become more like them, then that is one step closer!

Into the Elemental Planes

Added Thu Jun 1 19:51:49 2017 at level 51:
The Sanctum was always the key to Padosh, for it was the gateway into that of
the Elemental planes. Yet seeing as he was expelled from there at an early
age, he never was fully taught how such things work. Padosh always believed
that they feared that he would unlock the mysteries of those planes and grow
in power in which they could not contain.

So upon achieving the apex of his guild, Padosh returned to the Sanctum where
none could stand in his way. After a bit of investigation, Padosh soon
discovered several books in which described the theories of the planes. Such
knowledge would throw the world into chaos, as the theory spoke of how the
structures and morality which has been placed upon everyone is a lie to
justify one's own existence. Restrains placed upon the world to keep them
from knowing true power, why however Padosh could not begin to guess at.
Theories of negative planes, positive planes, elemental beings without souls
yet able to emerge into our world! The endless possibilities!

It was here that Padosh threw himself into learning all that he could, for he
would not be denied this knowledge. Here he would find the source of where
the Violet Spider tapped into magic and released it onto the world. Here he
would bath in the pure essence of chaos and grow in power himself. However
Padosh could not help but feel that this was only a small portion of the
Elemental planes in which the portals had tapped into. Limited was the
thought and design put into effect by the Sanctum, clearly refusing to do
what must be done.

Padosh now seeks to find other sources and ways into the realms, to unleash
the raw primordial essence which is chaos.

The Queen of Swords

Added Thu Jun 1 19:55:59 2017 at level 51:
Victorious in his ventures into the Elemental planes, Padosh thought it only
right to pay tribute to the pure beings of Chaos. So with the spoils of his
exploits, Padosh returned to the tower and laid them out before the Keeper.
Giving word onto the heavens, Padosh spoke out to the Royal Court of Swords
and Chaos, so that they knew the offerings before them.

And lo, Padosh was not disappointed. As the runes slithered and twisted
within his view, a sensual aura formed within the Tower. One of power yet
unconfined. One of greatness yet not limited to one idea. Before him the Great
Queen of Swords came into view. A beauty to which none could be compared,
Padosh knew then he has chosen wisely.
It was as if the embodiment of his mother stood before him, and all he wanted
to do was please her and prove his worth. To feel the power emanating from
this Queen, to be blessed in the rapture of her voice of a thousand voices
all woven into a single whisper. This was his goddess, this was his mother.
Clearly a being formed from the greatness of the Violet Spider, to which all
else would be found lacking.
To her, Padosh garbed her in the ancient skin of a white wyrm. For what else
would elicit such beauty and fierceness like the Queen? And to look upon her
Padosh wept. Because he knew he was no longer the most beautiful creature
within the realms.

Padosh is now driven to serve this Queen and her court, for she has replaced
the longing of his mother. To her he seeks to prove his greatness in his
actions and power. To her he will sacrifice the world should she request such
a thing.

A sacrifice worthy for a Queen

Added Sun Jun 4 16:21:50 2017 at level 51:
What can Padosh hope to offer such a powerful and beautiful goddess Queen?
Well blood and chaos of course! A sacrifice of a traveling companion at the
hands of his arch enemy, enough blood to bath his beautiful Queen!

As Mordikai and Ghrimmli traveled with the powerful and gracious Padosh,
Mordikai saw the Captain of the Maran approaching. Filled with bravado and
ego, Mordikai thought it would be an easy battle! For why not? He had Padosh
upon his side. Giving him shields, Mordikai planed for Ghrimmli to strike at
the thief and pincer him hard! As the battle started, Mordikai grinned with a
savage smile thinking of the soul he shall give his father.

As Ghrimmli pulled his arms back to pincer the poor helpless Thaedan, Padosh
thought of a better sacrifice. As Ghrimmli thought to attack, Padosh sent him
home. Mordikai was left in confusion and panic and did not seek Padosh's
help. Instead he fled deeper into the mountain, poor poor Mordikai. Had he
simply asked for the aid, perhaps it would have been there. Instead Padosh
simply returned himself home and allowed the Captain to complete the
sacrifice!

Chaos, pure and bloody. Given to the Queen by the hands of the unknowing.
Betrayal by Ghrimmli, or so thought by Mordikai, as Padosh spoke of how the
dwarf wanted to find safety and not to worry about the scarab.

Padosh's growth within Power, influence and control

Added Wed Jun 14 07:08:44 2017 at level 51:
Ever since traveling to the Elemental Planes through the Sanctum, Padosh has
been driven to make it back to this realm of power. He has gathered faithful
followers of his and ventured across the deserts to this mystical tower, a
tower called Trothon. As they made their way through (as Padosh lead them
valiantly through) they soon discovered many a mysteries and wonders. They
fought foes which would send fear into the soul of a lesser being.

With such, Padosh was rewarded with a deck of fate, for what else can one who
controls the destiny of so many with the twisting of Reality? While in
possession of such, Padosh knew he must use it to further his goals of
constant war to ever be valued by all sides. And thus Hunsodin was chosen to
rise to power in Padosh's mind! Clearly this Elven Paladin who has sough him
out would be a worthy follower of his, and as such he would be named
Marshall! It was only because of Padosh's hard work anyway that Hunsodin was
as powerful as he was! So clearly it was Padosh's doing and influence over
the deck of fate which granted such!

But we can not allow one side to run wild over the other! Otherwise stagnant
order would start to take hold and well, this would just not do. With the
decimation of the Imperial counsel, there was a void within the Divine sect.
Padosh knew he did not have much to work with and while he is a miracle in of
himself, he finds it harder to work them. But there was something in the
form of soft clay Padosh could manipulate and sculpt in the form of Hokrur.
So it has been deemed, decided and will be made so! Hokrur shall be named the
new High Priest!
