Description
The imposing figure of a fully grown Minotaur dominates your view.
His broad shoulders arch menacingly about the bovine features of
his face. Twin tusks twist their way out and forward like a mounted
knight's lances. His ebony hide looks like hardened leather, scarred
and weathered from a life clearly filled with myriad battles.
Tufts of thick, short, greying hair betray the age of this
towering behemoth. Despite his size, he clearly values protection.
He is armed from hoof to snout with thick sheets of ill-fitting
plate armor. They clank and shift as his chest heaves and nostrils
flare from his life-sustaining breath. The look of a staunch and
stalwart warrior is softened by only one thing; his eyes.
Their soft, deep amber color has not the look of a mindless brute,
but a thoughtful and even-tempered tactician. Looking closer you notice
Role
The Beast Inside
Added Tue Feb 28 19:57:34 2023 at level 17:
Perhaps it is a mercy that our mothers' do not survive.
Their bloodied and broken bodies a harbinger of trials and
hardships to come. Our youths are marred with the evils of
lesser creatures. Their hatred, fear and weakness betray them
even as they commit acts of atrocities throughout the ages.
Criminals, Rapists, Thieves a blight upon those seeking only
to exist in peace. My kind have never known peace. They see us
as mindless beasts to be ostracized and subjugated. I will
show them the beast they have made me; the beast inside.
Balanced as all things must be.

As I grew, my rage and self-entitled superiority grew within me.
I had no direction but to become the one things I was told I was.
A mindless brute. A monster incapable of intelligent thought,
much less speech. Fueled by their hatred, I grew strong in body
but soft in mind. Easily manipulated by the thoughts of lesser
beings. Until one day one of those supposed lesser beings took
stock of the mentally infirm behemoth in from of him and took
pity. A gnome, the smallest of creatures but mightiest of
mind put a boulder between my eyes and knocked me out cold.
When I came to, the diminutive invoker asked me how he did that.
I hesitated before a spoke and considered his question. I have
not stopped considering since. I learned to read, write and think
as the intellectual peer of any, though with considerable limitations
in the field of magic use. I became balanced and learned that all
things must be.
Bloodhoof
Added Wed Mar 8 19:28:40 2023 at level 37:
The journey from the southern continent was a long one. I had
left behind the brutish, ignorant ways of my forebearers, and
replaced my ignorance with learning and consideration. I found
balance, and no sooner found, became a struggle to keep it.
It is remarkable how small ones life can be when horizons are
expanded. So north I went. As a young bull, I did not have
the stamina and durability which marked my later years, when
tested, I noticed. Before finding my first pair of hoof covers
given to me by a blacksmith in Udgaard on a fools errand never
fulfilled, my hooves would grow bloody with travel and training.
I thought it weakness and I hid it when I could, but through it,
I learned about myself. About trials and how strength is built.
I began to see my bloody hooves as signs of trials overcome and
hid it no more. I began to mark my writings with said hoof and
took the surname Bloodhoof. My trials are my strength and through
them I find balance and order. Through it I found myself.
Limericks about Limericks
Added Sun Mar 19 19:57:41 2023 at level 51:
Twice a limerick contest donned,
the halls of the Inn far past dawn,
Quick with a quip,
faster with his whip,
the back to back champ was Pharagon.
The brightest star and the goddess of lakes,
never faltering or making mistakes,
saw the bull's mettle,
whilst pulling out flowers and petals,
and made him the king of limrakes.
Now wherever the bloodhoof doth go,
whether on duty or traveling to and fro,
he takes his wins with him,
with a boastful and braggarts grin,
and tells the tales of when others were too slow.

Peace, Progress and an Eye on the Future
Added Mon Apr 3 17:45:49 2023 at level 51:
With Provost Tiarumas's and Lady Ishuli's support, I have been
made Provincial Magistrate, leader in the Spire and known by
the realms. My mentors would be proud, and they have been many.
Gnobflink Puddleblast, the Justiciar who continues to show me
secrets and share his knowledge. Rogdan, the Vindicator of
Thera who, despite a speech pattern as difficult to understand
as my own, shares valuable insight and tactics about battle which
have strengthened my arm and more-so my resolve. The fallen Hero
Uxorn who shared with me his secret training locations which have
made me a paragon of skilled combat unrivaled in the realms since
the final resting of the Mageslayer, Kharotos.
Our war with the village having been a resounding victory, my
thoughts stray from battle, with an eye on the future. I know
not where our next unknown enemies will emerge from, yet I feel
the swirling forces of chaos still ever-present. I feel unrest in
the realms to be quelled, and I stand as a pillar against it.
My arm strengthened, my mind honed and my weapons training carefully
honed, whatever the enemy, I will face it down. I will lean against
the chaos and share the balance I find within myself with the Spire
and through it, the realms, but to what end? The Spire stands so
strong, our enemies so few, and the cities so safe, that an opportunity
is presented. In peace can be progress, and I am the one to usher it.
The Tree stands too isolated, away from our long arm of the law.
Therefore, my eye turns to Arkham. Across the sea is the future.
We could immediately place Magistrates in Arkham were it
placed under the protection of the Blood Tribunal. The Bloodhoof
must create a bloodpact with the city and expand our influence.
This becomes my work and my dedication has known no quit.
