Description
Light blonde curls hang down in rivulets around the head of this young man
giving him a more youthful appearance than he likely is. His face, like the
rest of his body, is slightly chubby. His cheeks are round and often times
given over to a bright crimson color, whether from anger, excitement, or
shyness. His emotions are often clearly visible upon his easily readable
features. His smile is kind and his mouth is full of white teeth. He has
a sense of cleanliness about him as if hygiene is clearly important given
his impeccable nails, teeth, and controlled chaos of explosive curls.
His body is stout and solid, though he is larger of stature with broad
shoulders. He stands a bit more tall than your average human at a little
over six feet. His frame looks like it was built upon hard physical labor,
yet his cleanliness is at odds with the assumption. His legs and arms are
muscular as his chest is broad. He is dressed in an odd assortment of
collected clothes from traveling. Placed throughout his clothing are various
pouches with spell components and other condensed spell books. Upon his left
shoulder is an odd looking leather patch with a rigged up wooden stand
covered in claw marks.

A Mother's Prayer

Merciful Child, How I've Prayed and Prayed.
Let not your sacrifice be wasted upon this
babe. Let him be pure and kind, let him be
compassionate and giving. Let him stray from
the path of his father, angry and sick with
drink always, always. Have mercy upon this
gentle spirit within my belly. Lead it out
safely and let the world be good to it. Let
your chorus sing. Amen.

She lay battered and bloody by the hearth on the wooden floor. She felt the
blood pooling by her right arm as she gasped for breath. Her drunk of a husband
had beaten her senseless, and that is something she was used to, but when he
started cursing the child in her swollen belly and kicking it something within
her snapped. She doesn't know how many times she stabbed him, but he was dead as
dead. It took her a few minutes to calm herself and to realize her water had
broken and her baby was on it's way.
When she arrived at the Windflower Inn she was near death. She had crawled the
last half mile through the muddy streets of cobbled stone. Nobody helped, she
was ridiculed like a beggar by various humans and minotaurs alike. Yet she had
friends here who knew her plight and took her in readily. Through some miracle
of divine intervention the baby arrived healthy and happy. The mother passed.
Oddly enough fate was kind to young Pierri, named after his mother's father as a
dying request. He was taken in by a young couple from the conjurer's guild who
themselves had just had a child. He could not have found better adoptive parents
if he had tried and they raised him as their own. He was taught the basics of
conjuration by them, though he took up work at the lumber yard of the Seantryn
Docks at a young age. He enjoyed the simple work and he made many friends with
his kindness and proclivity towards being generous. He was shielded from most
harm by his parents watchful scrying and such intrusive protection became second
nature to him.
As he grew into young adulthood it became apparent that he had inherited some of
his father's traits. He grew quick to anger, but he was also passionate and
fiery in good ways. He wears his emotions on his sleeves at all times and when
he is excited about something it is to the point of obsession.
Such excitement would eventually lead him to leave Seantryn Modan in search
of...the perfect drink.
Interdimensional Bartender (conclusion)

Having been born at the Windflower Inn, it became second nature for him and his
friends to spend time there. One thing he loved about life at the inn, and why
he spent so much time there, were the tales. Tales from all over the world, of
adventure, excitement, entertainment, and other such enjoyable things. He would
sit in wide-eyed wander at various tellings and retellings of legendary Therans
and their exploits. The bartender had a way about him that captured the
imagination, and often times told a tale of 'The Perfect Drink'. He said he had
had it once, but could not for the life of him recall the ingredients. It became
something of a religious calling to Pierri. He annoyed the bartender to no end
once the door was open, about various ingredients, techniques of mixing, and was
even allowed to mix drinks for the patrons of the Windflower.
He could not be held down once his mind was made up that his goal was to
discover, or rediscover, the perfect drink. He had visions of himself as a
bartender, opening planar holes and serving drinks through them up and down a
large bar of red mahogany. It felt right, and he realized he was having visions
of the future. Once these visions started to manifest within him, his parents
paid for his entry into the Academy of Thera. Thus the start of his journey....
Updates on Conjuration and Herald Life
Added Mon Feb 21 08:05:36 2022 at level 44:
Pierri's obsessions are beginning to catch up with him mentally. He was
surprised at the ease with which he was able to join the Herald's of the Eternal
Star, and after spending time there he began to realize that the Herald's
themselves in both number and action did not necessarily live up to his
expectations he had set for them while listening to the numerous stories in the
Windflower. He has promised himself he would live up to the expectations he had
set for himself before pledging, although he holds himself to a higher standard
than perhaps what is required.
He has had consistent nightmares regarding a few subjects and has consistent
anxiety over these things when awake. These include Gods, Conjuration studies,
Bartending, and future paths. He feels torn in all directions because he has a
tendency to hyper focus on one subject, cannot stick to one subject because they
are all important, and bounces back and forth between subjects while trying to
master each one. His study techniques are impaired and lacking, and it takes a
tole on his nerves when he tries to implement the skills and abilities he should
have already mastered.
His familiar Miisha is a source of stress as well. Never in his life would he
have expected a familiar that didn't really listen and did her 'own thing'.
Miisha is wise beyond her years and keeps Pierri distracted at times he would
otherwise be too overwhelmed with mundane things. She is adventurous and enjoys
getting into mischief. From the moment she leaves her home plane of owls and
enters Thera, she takes it upon herself to fly around and learn new things. She
enters places she shouldn't go, she steals things that aren't hers, and she
makes friends with those Pierri might not even have the nerve to speak to. She
isn't chaotic in nature, but she attempts to protect Pierri from himself and
loves him dearly, the feeling is mutual and Pierri wouldn't trade her for all
the gold in the world. They are best friends, as it should be.
He has plans for the Heralds and for the Eternal Star. Things he would like to
do to see more people using the Inn for it's intended purpose. He does not mind
sending alcohol or tending the bar for evil creatures. The way he sees it if
they are busy at his bar, with him entertaining them, they aren't out doing evil
to others. He has already been judged by members of the Fortress for things like
conjuring smoke mephits, but he feels their views are short sighted due to a
lack of knowledge in conjuration, and each creature conjured is like a sword to
be wielded. Swords can be used for good or evil, as long as he has control over
the creature there is no danger. This is another (perhaps) short sighted view
due to growing up in a family of conjurers.
Updates on Conjuration and Herald Life (continued)

He has personally set goals for himself that will likely see him ending up in
Ishuli's grand library. He has touched on her religion with his conversations
with the High Herald but has yet to take that plunge due to not understanding
and being short sighted with the Gods of Thera. They make him nervous if a bit
scared and intimidated. For example, here is an excerpt from one of his
nightmares:
Pierri smiles happily as he wipes down the bar towards the end of the evening.
Miisha sits atop her perch in the corner eyeing him critically, he gets a sense
she has been counting the different mistakes and mis-pours he has made
throughout the night. He sighs to himself and vows to study harder. He will
never find the Perfect Drink at this rate as he can't even mix basic drinks
without imperfections. Just then a wood-elf female enters the bar on a giant
wave of water, the water pours over him with great weight and washes him away.
The wood-elf is suddenly as large as a titan with an angry sneer and steam
pouring out of her nose and mouth as she speaks. It booms an order for him to
return to the bar. As he gets closer it gets smaller but it's visage turns into
something menacing. He cannot meet it's gaze as he draws closer as he knows
doing so would turn him to ashes immediately. He fears this wood-elf greatly,
and it screams at him in a foreign tongue and points at the bottles behind the
bar. He frowns and shakes his head, not understanding. She rakes her talons
across all the bottles on the top shelf and they fly to the far wall, shattering
on impact. She grins at him with several forked tongues escaping her mouth and
leans over towards the broken glass. She rakes her tongues over the pile and
greedily gobbles down the shards as a scent of iron and alcohol overwhelms
Pierri's senses. She uses her talons to mix a drink herself. It was a simple
drink, just orange juice and vodka. She is a wood-elf again and she is frowning
at him with remorse. She is holding the drink and shaking her head at him. She
points to the entrance of the Eternal Star without saying a word, she rips his
bar towel and any Herald related items from his person just as a giant wave of
whiskey and water pushes him out the door and onto the road. He looks up from
the side of the road and he's suddenly at a brothel in Seantryn Modan, tending a
broken bar as the scum of the world stare at him waiting for his mismade drinks
to fuel their sins.
Similar nightmares about the pitfalls of conjuration and 'forgetting' everything
he knows perhaps to follow in time. This was just a sense of the types of thing
that wake him up when he falls asleep studying.
