Description
Lithe, slim, and graceful. The drow that stands before you has dark-ebon
skin covering his entire frame.Soft, snowy white hair is tied with a
silvery strand of thick webbing at the nape of his neck. His eyes are a very
pale blue, though tinged amber when he is angered or upset, which is most of
the time. A tiny smirk from his thin lips hints at white teeth. His ears are
long and pointed, neither is pierced in any way. He stands clothed in a
various assortment of armor and leathers, mostly dyed black.
Role
Crime and Punishment, Life on the Surface
Added Fri Sep 16 20:35:20 2016 at level 21:
Pistary is a deserter from an unimpressive house in Teth Azeleth. Having come
to the surface and spent a great deal of time there, the bright sun does not
singe his eyes and skin as it once did. Pistary finds the 'dangers and
mysteries' of Teth Azelth amusing to hear about from those he encounters in
back alleys and taverns alike.
Pistary did not want to live in a world where his skill and intelligence was
wasted. The controlled chaos that was society in the Underdark was certainly
not going to give him the opportunity to rise any higher than a simple shock
troop. As soon as he heard grumblings of war and sensed the stirring of
battle he knew it was time to go.
Pistary has been taking advantage of his nimbleness and dexterity compared to
the surface dwellers. He became a thief by trade and will focus his efforts
on ropes and binding. He found he was particularly skilled at this due to his
long and supple fingers, but also his intelligence.
Pistary often found himself shaking his head at the talentless criminals he
associated with. Clumsy, profoundly stupid. Most of their work was done in
gangs with the strength of numbers. Pistary could never see himself working
alongside filthy humans or any sort of lesser race like that.
Instead he began to inform the local guard on the actions of the underbelly
of society on the surface. Eventually he decided he could make a large sum
and grow his own power base by using his skills FOR the law as a Magistrate.
Rules and law govern all things in both nature and society. He does not plan
to go outside the bounds of any policy or law of the Blood Tribunal, but he
does plan to use the law to see himself grow filthy stinking rich and
powerful. He will be the balance of law and crime by taking the law to the
criminals of the various thieves guilds around Thera as a thief himself.
The Spire, The Guild, The Future
Added Tue Sep 20 08:57:24 2016 at level 36:
In general the Spire itself is proving to be somewhat of a conundrum for
Pistary. From histories and tales of the past he was expecting the Spire to
be a place of great order, stern policy, strictly enforced rules, and
competent members with the common goal of bringing Order to Thera.
This is not at all what Pistary found upon his admission. The Magistrates are
divided among their social classes and morality, the Provost does not present
as being very informed or present, and his Provincial Magistrate Quindessa
treats the Spire like the Empire and constantly tries to draw Pistary into
schemes to overthrow the current Provost so she can 'get rid of all the
paladins' in the Spire. Pistary was hoping to have left such pettiness in
Teth Azeleth, but perhaps the weak trying to use malice and discord to
overthrow those in power is simply a universal truth.
Pistary is patient and he is intelligent. He knows that serving his post
actively and competently will see him rise quickly enough to where he wishes
to be in the Spire's ranks. The top.
Pistary is becoming clever and wise with his path of thievery in binding. He
has trained for many weeks and will continue to do so. He hopes to move to
Hamsah Mu'tazz and take over the thief guild there, but he is reliant upon
the Provost to transfer him. Pistary has his own plans for the thieves guilds
of Thera, but these too are on hold for now while he patiently waits,
watches, and learns.

As the image unfolds you notice the focal point seems to be the dark-elf
sitting behind large mahogany desk. He appears to be signing a stack of
documents that seem to be mostly comprised of numbers. Neatly arranged on the
desk itself is a stack of coins, various 'WANTED' posters, bundles of rope
with intricate knots tied into them, and a small orb that gives off light.
Behind the dark-elf stand two hulking guards. Each appears watchful and
alert. Each is wearing a cloak adorned with the symbol of the Blood Tribunal.
Thieves and prowlers can be seen slinking about the shadows in other rooms of
the guild. Occasionally one will be brave enough to eyeball the dark-elf
behind the desk, but quickly looks away showing signs of both fear and
respect.
Shouts of alarm ring out from somewhere outside the building of crimes in
progress in the city of Hamsah Mu'tazz. A quick look behind the desk of the
Bandit King reveals that he is already missing from your sight, his rope as
well. The two hulking guards swear and run out the door to catch up.
