Description

Lumbering around at a large 13 feet tall is a rather odd looking storm giant. Although his facial features are kind, as is typical of storm giants, his body is a bit more menacing. He has broad shoulders, a burly chest, yet his back is the widest part of his torso. This storm giant has the body of a hard laborer, as shown by his thighs, which are thicker than the tree trunks found in Azreth Forest. His skin is the most curious of all, being a light shade of blue but covered in anatomical tattoos. Each of his major organs is covered by an anatomically correct tattoo depicting that organ, and the rest of his body is covered in similar tattoos of his arterial system. The pale green hair on top of his head is cut tightly and neat, so as to only be on the top of his head. Looking closer you also see

Role

A Family Tradition.

Added Sun Sep 10 22:59:13 2017 at level 32:
Born into a long line of Tribunals, Pitarro had heard from birth the
expectations his family held for him. His great great great grandfather
was a famous Provost known for both his purity and his quick growth within
the paladins guild. A picture of this greater-than-Pitarro man hung on
the mantle above the family fireplace right above the weapon that brought
his ancestor fame, a holy sword named Defiance. Since that time, the male
line of succession has done little more than become a Magistrate of
Seantryn Modan. That didnt stop Pitarros alcoholic father from beating
their lineage into him, sometimes very literally. At that point in time,
Pitarro had no inclination to follow in the footsteps of a family who
couldnt make a name for themselves.

A night came where Pitarro was captured by a few fire giant adolescents,
who intended on using Pitarro for some kind of experiment (as far as he
could tell). They laid him out on the dirty ground and tied him in place.
One of the giants pulled the limp corpse of another storm giant near
Pitarro, revealing that the storm giant had his skin removed and abdomen
cut wide open. The fire giants began laughing as one prepared a needle and
ink, and began tattooing Pitarros body. Wea mark yas up nice an good,
one said, grinning.

Throughout the entire process, the words that Pitarros father used to
shout as he mercilessly beat his son echoed in Pitarros head.
Retribution an fortitude, boy! Retribution an fortitude! The lessons
he learned painfully as a child rang throughout his head now, for he knew
now was the time for mental and physical fortitude. This torture was
nothing Pitarro couldnt handle, and so he would will his way through it.
As the adolescent fire giants finished the last detail of the final
tattooed organ, one exclaimed Next time we finds ya, we knows where ta
slice. Confused, Pitarro was abandoned and left to find a way to free
himself.

After returning home, Pitarro angrily paced back and forth near the
familys fireplace. He knew now why his family was so adamant in serving
the law. Lawlessness and general lack of order allow the worst to be
brought out in being, and Pitarro would not stand for it. He looked at the
portrait of his famed Provost ancestor, and knew what needed to be done.
Pitarro removed Defiance from its wall mount and set off towards the
Paladins guild. He would follow in the footsteps of those before him,
paving his way toward the position of Provost. Now was the time for
retribution.

A Step Towards Final Law.

Added Thu Sep 14 17:49:58 2017 at level 51:
Having grown old since his incident with the fire giant adolescents,
Pitarro had become infatuated with the concept of Tribunal Law. His
father (and his father before him) have often gone off on tangents about
the Law, often arguing with one another over their perceptions and
inferences about the Laws meanings. Having listened to his father and
grandfather argue so often from their own viewpoints, Pitarro began to
develop a sense about the Law that hadnt been explicitly taught to him:
the Law, in its current state, was open for interpretation.

Now beyond his youth, all of the information Pitarro had absorbed at a
young age was beginning to shape his own opinions. Although he could not
see it before, or maybe he just didnt care, the Laws writing is too
ambiguous to be effective. This troubled Pitarro, who sought not to live
in a world where Law is so reliant on interpretation. Rather, Pitarro
wanted to live in a world where the Law was final, and no being could be
compelled to argue against its words.

To achieve the goal of a final Law, a law in which interpretation could be
taken more literally and with reduced ambiguity, Pitarro knew to trust no
being other than himself. The current crop of Tribunal seemed perfectly
happy to have the freedom of interpretation behind their Laws, as they
felt it gave them more power. Pitarro did not agree with this, as he
believed Law was the ultimate power, and abuse of it was borderline
criminal in and of itself. However, he knew that he could not change
human nature. Rather than try to modify the Tribunals, or even the
criminals who can exploit loopholes in the law, Pitarro decided it would
be best to solidify the language of the law such that exploitation or
bending would be far more difficult.

It is no secret that storm giants are not known for their intelligence.
Pitarro was now faced with a difficult task, one which required strong
diction and methodical structure. Although stricken by genetic
limitations to intelligence, Pitarro knew he had not yet reached the
pinnacle of his abilities. For that, be dove into studies, becoming a
regular book worm. What might take an elf a week or two took Pitarro
years, but he finally was able to improve his understanding of the common
tongue that he might be able to begin rewriting the laws as he saw
appropriate. When complete, Pitarro planned to add his redrafted set of
Laws and explanations therein to the great library of Lady Ishuli.
Implementing the laws, however, would first require him to become Provost,
so that he may have some clout.
