Description
Standing at about five and a half feet tall, she has an average build.
Nothing quite stands out on her dark-skinned frame, except perhaps slightly
elongated limbs. The face is rather slender with high brows and somehow
menacing and off-putting. The brown eyes blend into deeply seated sockets,
sometimes obscured by the long-flowing pitch-black hair.
Looking closer, you just notice some kind of marks resembling carvings
around the visible parts of her skin, including hints of one on her face.

Background

Growing up with her single mother, Qhedraba picked up the eternal sadness
residing within the visually cheerful and outwardly happy woman.
Eventually, little by little, she found out what the reason for that
sadness is, why she had a very unusual last name and the matter of
her dark skin, much unlike her human mother.
It turns out that the drow House of Yiarrenn was an old and powerful
House in the middle of the dark-elven politics, but when the head of
the House fell in love and wedded a human, it caused quite a stir.
For the nobles of Under Houses it seemed almost an insult that
their daughters were not good enough for Yiarrenn, and many had
matrimonial plans that were political in nature and planned for a
long time into the future. All of this was brought into the disarray.
None of this was self-evident, as the outward pleasantries were above
the pettiness, thus the newly matroned Mother of Yiarrenn did not
suspect anything until too late.
The too late came too soon, as she was just pregnant with her first,
and as the fate would have it, her last child, Qhedraba.
The torches around the House went out one night and the halls went
silent. All the servants seemingly disappeared and as her husband
did not return from the Council, the Mother was sick with worry.
Almost sure of the worst, she listened and waited, alone and afraid.
Suddenly, a ghostly figure appeared, resembling her husband, and silently
beckoned to follow as it glided in the darkness, hovering and shimmering.
Pointing out the hidden door behind the tapestry, the ghost urged
the Mother to enter, and sensing urgency and the need for it, she complied.
Entering the dark emptiness, she fell into nothingness, disappearing into it.
Fainting from the stress and perhaps the scary unknown, the Mother found herself
Above, in the forest not far from the small settlement of men.
Qhedraba was impressed by the tale and decided to find out as much as she
could about the nature of the undead and the studies of Magic in general.
Pursuing her dreams, she joined the guild of the Necromancers, reveling in
the newfound abilities within and admiring her ever-growing strength.
On Chaos, Death and Magic
Added Sat Mar 2 18:07:42 2019 at level 17:
As Qhedraba progressed on her studies of death magic, she has learned to
quite enjoy it, the sound of reanimated heads hurled at her enemies, the
weak cries as she numbs their grasp, and the pleasure of forcing them to sleep.
Magic and Death go well together for her, especially if one can apply one to
lead swiftly to the other.
Surrounding ones by allies and trusting them doesn't usually work, as
evidenced by her poor mother. Thus, Qhedraba can use people to her purposes
but rather happily discard them and never trust others much at all.
Such trust leads to anguish and pain usually, as some may be able to learn.
No, Qhedraba will look after herself and the best person to look after herself
is indeed Qhedraba. The weavings of her spells must be precise as she draws
more and more advanced power strands, and fortunately she feels the invisible
hand of the Tower of Magic somehow helping her, with an unseen connection
to the power within. Or perhaps the Veil itself wills Qhedraba to succeed.
And it does seem that one Aylosi might be useful to Qhedraba, her focus
being fairly similar, but that still remains to be seen. Help without worship.
Perhaps that can be arranged. Qhedraba does not intend to be a blind fanatic.
The kindness of Morius

Deep inside the accursed prison of adventurers, seeking the riches within,
was Qhedraba, battling an unseen presence within the room full of utter darkness.
Silent was the battle, for the heavy magic in the room prevented any spells
or indeed any words at all from being said. Qhedraba was with her usual friends
and thus prevailed easily. However, the room stayed silent and completely dark
and devoid of any movement after the unseen assailant has been defeated.
Praying in lament of her unfortunate circumstances, Qhedraba prepared
herself for having to end her life in a suicide as the only way for her
soul to escape the clutches of the prison and the suffocating darkness within.
Suddenly, she felt a presence near her, silently inquiring what she was
willing to do in exchange for her life. Qhedraba indicated her readiness to
worship the benevolent entity and let it be known that the virtues of one
will not go unknown. At last, by divine hand, the darkness was lifted and
as Qhedraba slayed the reborn vampire within, she rushed to the Church
of Morius to proclaim the affinity for her savior and his kindness.
In the absence of Aylosi, one should find a benefactor where one can.
The plague of the fae-witch

As Aylosi came back to this plane, Qhedraba set out to try to meet with her.
Long was the search and she believed she was near Aylosi's shrine when
she prayed for small assistance in finishing finding it.
Aylosi appeared and plagued Qhedraba, probably laughing inside.
Done with the witch forever, Qhedraba decided to abandon the pursuit and
rather deal with one more reasonable, more understanding, and one who
knows pride and how to help and how to support and nurture what
Qhedraba can provide. Morius has been and always will be her guide.
