Description

Standing solemn and by appearance indifferent from the passing traveler the man before you seems to exude one trait atypical of others. Glinting eyes which change with the light from oceanic blue to abalone green hold a gaze like no other. Brilliant auburn hair form small rivulets and bounce about in whimsical motions of joyous abandon. Well sculpted and unblemished, his face and jawline seem to scream nobility yet no thoughts of vanity arise from his solemn temperament. Strapping, bulging muscles flicker with excitement and yearn for righteous aggression as they nearly pry themselves clear of their armored confinement. The bulk of his mass tapers to small joints and bend with the ease and flexibility of a court jester, however a staunch belt supports his lower torso and serves as sheath to his weapons. Largely indiscriminate from common plate or chainmail, well chosen pieces attach and cover with elven fluidity. None of his traits or wears give insight into his atypical trait but you notice one last thing...

Role

Overwhelming power of the Spirit.

Added Tue Sep 14 05:19:18 2010 at level 8:
+It had been a long pregnancy and the boy's mother had nearly passed in
the process but managed somehow to survive.
+Born to this poor countryside family on the day of great gods in the
month of nature was a stillborn boy, sickly and weak.
+To the dismay of the midwife and all her preparation he did not move, no
signs of life stirred within him after the last push.
+Seconds seem to pass as hours in each of their minds, a tragedy, was
among them and solemn prayer was their only hope.
+A long heartfelt pleading with the gods began, the father, nor mother, nor
the caring midwife wished the absence of life.
+As if by miraculous or malevolent intervention, the most fierce and
overwhelming cry arose from the lungs of the newborn.

+Gentle to a fault, yet protective of all he cared for, was the most
passionate young boy that any had ever seen before.
+Kindness knowing few boundaries and a trusting and kind nature were
his greatest gifts along with his passion for life.
+Each day he was thankful for the gift bestowed upon he and his family,
the gift of a divine spirit, the gift known only as life.
+Earnest and exceedingly hard working was his life, chores, studies,
training, sport, and religion were held deep to his core.
+His parents the Yhelen's were grateful for their son and did everything
they could to raise him proper, nurturing his needs.
+Off into the far reaches of Thera he would venture, to spread his beliefs
in the value and strength that life has to offer.
+A journey into the great city would be his stepping stone, to become a
preacher of the spirit and to help quell it's oppressors.

Priest of Spirit, Harbringer of Death, Warrior of Judgement

Added Tue Sep 14 17:15:55 2010 at level 10:
+Upon arrival in the city of Galadon, he enrolled himself into the training
academy and made a quick and decisive choice.
+A holy warrior he would become, because it is of utmost importance that
not only ones spirt be cherished but protected.
+A crusade against the corrupters of spirit and defilers of that natural gift
shal be made to pay for their horrific and vile acts.
+Through death the toll becomes readily apparent where as so many fear
or revere it as a vial act the truly just, do not.
+Death itself is a part of the cycle of life and so must the record of all
encounters be returned to the divine from it's origin.
+He holds no fear of the act of death as his understanding of it and it's
overall necessity to free and transport the spirit.
+These few tenants are among the greatest realizations that he has made
in the studying of his chosen lord, Marcatis.

+The first and greatest of his trials appeared simple, as he sat out to
search for the dwelling known as Marcatis shrine.
+Through word of mouth and some clues within the divine text he was
able to discern it's approximate location.
+Just before passing the Arkham city walls, the guards passed along a
warning to watch for bandits and worse about.
+Mustering up his courage he ventured forth facing fierce bats, ferocious
wolves and tenacious backstabbing bandits.
+Passing among the fields, a small trail he was able to discern and
through faith he followed his feet to the marble temple.
+Although no response he did hear, his belief is deep that his lord sees all
that occurs and knows that he is dedicated.
+Strong anticipation remains that his patron will grant a bit of greater
strength that he'll need to further his noble crusade.

A view of Life from the Outside.

Added Sat Sep 18 09:02:38 2010 at level 21:
+Mortal men and women live their whole existence in a short time and are
able to experience a great many things.
+Forests are planted, others cleared, wars are waged and crusades
fought, and the inevitable death awaits all.
+Those whom are imbued with the spark of life attempt to do the natural
and just thing with deed and desire.
+Each being holds the ingrain knowledge of right and wrong so long as
influence doesn't mar their given path.
+So few of these, have an understanding why one act would be good or
vile, it is simply inherent that we know.
+Some believe as he, in that the spark within is more than a bringer of
life, but in essence a divine life it's self.
+Within it's confines are the answers to the questions of right and wrong,
good and evil, that we all follow.
+Inside their great recollection of past deeds, thoughts, and acts are the
answers to what is just, and the judgement.
+His understanding is in the teaching of the distaste of the undead and
apparent longing for death and judgement.
+The conclusions which he has come to, to him, feel the closest to what
is the truth within the scope of life.

A Goal upon the Realization of Life within Life.

Added Sat Sep 18 10:23:04 2010 at level 22:
+So few may understand the workings of the life we all have, and fewer
still know the yearning for a just life.
+As much as it isn't inherently wrong to kill, as it is part of the life cycle,
but the reason may be vile, or unjust.
+With such a realization he has decided to align himself with the fortress
of the light, in hopes to quell injustice.
+As within his view the vile and evil are more often the purveyor's of
injustice, so too will he expedite their death.
+Each being who willfully acts against the insight bestowed upon them
from their spark should fall to free the spark.
+All those whom wish to live their lives in their natural and right manor
should have the chance to do so.
+He has come to believe that the best way to provide the chance of a just
life is through the end of all vile beings.
+The undead, at the peak among the vile, and any whom would ally
themselves among such filthy defilers.
+Journeying to the Redhorn Gates is a must, and a pledge before the holy
Maran shal be his starting his new goal.

Convergence of the Paths.

Added Sun Sep 19 09:20:34 2010 at level 33:
+Laying before him were two paths, The purveyor of goodness and order,
and the bringer of ruination to the darkness.
+These goals he felt were two halves of the same coin, and both hold
great merit within his divine faith in Marcatis.
+His first goal within the fortress was swift and it was a somewhat easy
task to gain acceptance amongst the Squires.
+To live this life of combat and blood spilling will not be an easy one, yet
a strong temperance bays, not to over indulge.
+Understanding the limitation of what is necessary his feelings serve as
his guide and give promise to his actions.
+Exercising strong restraint he utilizes his intuition and overcomes those
of the twisted and maniacally vile nature.
+Through actions taken as a sword within the Brigade, a since of
accomplishment fills his heart with understanding.
+Those whom aren't deserving of the spark should have it released, and
those unable to defend shall be protected.
+With these thoughts and feelings his two goals have in essence become
one and the same, intertwined paths.

Wisdom of the Followers.

Added Thu Sep 23 16:46:09 2010 at level 36:
+Two holy warriors converge, within the shrine of Marcatis, after an
assault against evil to discuss their beliefs.
+Vourecourl spoke his wisdom and he listened attentively while offering
his feelings and insights on each matter.
+His views upon the culmination of divine sparks, the light of life, one's
spirit, helped Vourecourl he believes.
+The thoughts of judgement and how it plays a role in our lives Vourecourl
believes deeply within it's importance.
+After the in-depth conversation of his chosen religion he felt divine
presence guiding him further in his crusade.
+Upon swift wings followed the graces of his lord and a renewed
confidence and understanding arose from within.
+As fast as his body would allow, kneeling only for a moment, he rushed
toward the Maran's call for the attacker.
+Preceding arrival, the enemy had dispersed and the Maran's wounds
needed tending before returning to the temple.
+Quickly tending the wounds of the guardian of the Fortress, his task
complete, he sat his thoughts onto the return.

Honing religious Belief.

Added Thu Sep 23 16:46:55 2010 at level 36:
+The return to the shrine was swift, with a prime strike against a dark
paladin grudgingly missed along the way.
+It was with brief prayer upon his arrival that the divine presence of
Marcatis did present himself once again.
+Enlighten me of what you were to ponder when last we spoke, were
among his words, as the lord spoke to him.
+The revelation of the Spirit he blurted in as simple of an answer he was
able, and with a nod Marcatis did approve.
+Following his revelation his lord spoke, and asked to summarize all of
his conclusions and beliefs to date.

+Taking a breath, and speaking from the heart, he began to make
statements that reflected his most devout beliefs.
+Divine energy sparks, form the spirit which is a life unto itself and bringer
of life, being inherently moral and orderly.
+Those whom neglect the spirit and energies or attempt to trap them
should be delivered a swift and just ending.
+That each and every, thought, action, and feeling is known to the spirit
and serves as a record to be judged.
+He made one last statement in that, upon the final judgement that the
spirit will again disperse into divine sparks.
+Speaking in summation the two ended with thoughts of the origin of dark
and chaos stemming from consciousness.

The Vile Beast.

Added Mon Sep 27 19:38:27 2010 at level 44:
+Never before in all his lore did he ever come across such a more horrific
wild elf than he has now with this druid.
+A menace in it's truest form as his strong efforts to bring natures wrath
to so many of good and just souls.
+Twas this wrathful nature in which only the most dark hearted men had
chosen, he could see within the druid.
+The many crusades he has entered only has this apparent grey beast
ever caused so much trouble to him.
+After some time he was able to sense the calling for divine retribution for
all the blood sacrifices and it struck.
+From many years of this wilder elf to sacrifice those of the light his
spark's sadness bays me strike his body.
+Hardly ever a conscious thought to cause ill will toward someone not
visibly tainted he feels some conflict.
+Deep inside this mortal form he feels pity and remorse for the spirit
having to endure such atrocities of death.
+Teachings the beast follow are of conscious thought and do not bring
him to beastly but to abomination form.
+It is his belief that in the future the lords will show him for what he truly is
and place him in the path of the Crusade.

Illumination of Fortitude.

Added Sat Oct 2 19:33:39 2010 at level 44:
+Confidence can mean many different things to any given person at any
specific moment that may occur in time.
+To him it can be taken as the ability act confidently, to speak
confidently, or any different combination of the two.
+Something that has been given light to in recent days was the true
difference between confident and foolhardy.
+During the crusade against Darkness, Evil, and the Vile, often times the
gates of the fortress feel a breeching.
+Most of these inglorious battles pit, one force against another, minions of
great darkness against light warriors.
+Words of wisdom trickled down like rain, slowly filling a large basin
before finally breaking, releasing knowledge.
+Thus far he had been acting mainly upon impulse and he believes it will
be difficult to change but he will try.
+Parity, and Discretion he now understands are of the utmost importance
with any incursion, minor or even major.
+Tactics are decidedly important in the Crusade and he has decided to be
the teacher of tact for defense.
+To fulfill this role, he has now dedicated his efforts and heart toward the
position of the mighty Fortress Marshall.

We Are, The Fortress.

Added Fri Oct 8 23:22:05 2010 at level 46:
+Swords and shields clang in violent exchanges of might and muscles as
they fly feverishly against each other.
+Brilliant flashes of heavenly light arch across the sky, each one brining
brightness to the day and night.
+Slowly slithering beads of sweat glisten softly as they begrudgingly run
down face or facade of would be heros.
+Mighty avatars for all that is good and holy square off in the throws of
heated combat against the vile cretins.
+Many sinister individuals posing a great threat to all life as it is known
allied by the misguided dim path followers.
+They, themselves whom pose a threat nearly as grave as the dark and
ghastly hearted darkling imbeciles do.
+These many altercations prove all too well the importance of the mighty
and very majestic Golden Fortress.
+Helping to lead the charge against the defilers are the Marshal, Captain,
Cardinal and Prophet doing all they can.
+A great deal many men and women follow the lead of these standouts
seeing the sparkle of hope deep inside.
+Scribes, Squires, Acolytes, Marans, all are We, and We are the force
for Good, Hope, and all that is Just in Thera.
