Role
Early Life
Added Fri Oct 25 17:02:10 2013 at level 9:
My mother was a drow priestess and my father a Imperial merchant and
both devoted to Lord Enlilth. My earliest memories were of worshiping
at the small shrine in the back room of our house near the middle of the
Imperial lands. I remember the small green jade seal depicting a raised
fist clenching a bag of coins on the one side of the altar, and a
beautiful scepter, perhaps a foot in length and made from real silver,
on the other. From the roof I could just glimpse the magnificence of the
Palace in the distance. I remember fondly my father giving me the coins
and allowing me to hand them to the Centurions who guarded our safety.
My parents, though strict, taught me well the lessons of life and law,
never sparing the rod to help me learn from my mistakes. I will be ever
thankful to them for those lessons, and the love that was behind every
strike. I shaped who I am and without their love and caring, I would
not doubt just be another mindless soul, traipsing along for scraps in
this world. Their love gave me the drive and the confidence to know
what I was destined for.
It was fall, and I in middle adolescence, when my family's stature was
increased significantly. The lawless band of brigands and fools known
as the Outlanders brought their filth and chaos into out structured world
in an attempted assault on the Palace. The Empire fought them back
with ease, and as they retreated, one of their members collapsed in
front of the house next to ours, famished for food and water. It was
then, that their young child, no more that eight approached the filthy
beast, a human of some kind, and instead of drawing a blade across
his neck as any good citizen would do, he gave him a sip of the water
he was carrying in his cup. The man started up again, but got no more
than a few steps before the Blades cut him down. However, we could
not let that infraction go unpunished. My father immediately reported it
to the Blades and Centurions that were present adding that no doubt they
intended to shelter him until it was safe for him to pass. The family
was stripped and flogged and we were rewarded with their land which my
father always liked since it was slightly larger than our plot. We
combined the land and built a new home with an outdoor shrine to Lord
Enlilth, the largest of any of the merchants, with a new jade seal and
much larger scepter. With our influence enlarged it was then, that we
heard the rumblings from the Palace itself.
Anger and Outrage
Added Fri Oct 25 17:03:02 2013 at level 9:
It was during this time we found out that the Empire was being run by
those that had pledged themselves to the Goddess Rayihn. My parents
were outraged, and it was then that I truly understood the word anger.
They were incensed at the thought that the Lord of the Empire itself
was not being payed the proper respect and that these leaders, these
rulers of the Empire, OUR EMPIRE, were giving praise to this lesser
goddess. But my anger ran deeper. What kind of Lord would allow
his Empire to be taken over by another? Rumblings continued of orders
to others to praise her as well, even if they did not follow her creed.
Purple flowers began appearing here and there, and even some of the
people of the Empire began wearing lotus broaches. And still nothing
for the Lord Enlilth. I would take no more. Whispers began of another
Lord, A true Lord or Order. Destuvius. The more I learned the more
I understood that this was the Lord of True Order. I tried to teach
my parents but theywould hear nothing of it. Boiling over with rage
at their foolishness and what had became of my Empire, I set out in
search of my Lords Blessing.
My anger would not be assuaged.
Promotion
Added Sun Nov 3 20:16:06 2013 at level 33:
The High Priest saw fit to promote me. No doubt feels the power that I
wield. I am his anger and all who oppose us will feel it. The Empire
thrives and me within it. Darkness and Order are a part of Thera now as
never before and that is without doubt because the false goddess and the
weaker lord have now been replaced with our Grace. Our Overseerer. I
thought to change my name in disgust with my parents and their failure to
part with their heathen ways, but I cannot. It is up to me to restore
our name to its proper place. The name Trandorian will be held in
reverence once again.
His Grace
Added Sun Nov 3 20:16:59 2013 at level 33:
My lord Destuvius granted me an audience as I worshipped and set me to
task. The three he gave will be accomplished and he ask for a tome as
well. The Empire has fallen away from civilized etiquette and I am to
remind them of the proper actions upon waking. My tome will be
comprehensive since I am a scholar in the area and since it is His Graces
will. I felt his power rush into me and once again my spirit was
ignited to even greater heights. His blessing is with me and Darkness
and Order will reign.
High Priest
Added Sun Nov 17 15:59:50 2013 at level 40:
I will remember this for the rest of my days. The Prelate, Warlock,
Assassin, and Blademaster standing behind me as I stepped before the
Throne. The quiet prayers of the Imperial healer echoing throughout the
chamber. The smell of death and decay lingering subtly under the unique
aroma of herbs and spices used in the shrouding of a mummy. His, silent,
undead for shuffling towards me as I bowed deeply to our new Emperor,
noticing the ever swirling grains of sand moving over the black marble,
falling into the words of Imperial Law. His strange voice, almost
disembodied since air no longer passes through him to make the sounds.
And his words:
You will be my new High Priest.
I need you at my side.
As Lord Destuvius said so it has come to pass. Praise his Grace. Now my
work is thrice fold. I must increase the Divine Sects power and
influence. I must work to put Varesh into the Shadow Lords position. I
work on his speech with him and in return when my time as Emperor comes.
He had better. And I must serve the Emperor and keep the Empire strong.
Yet, as always, my first devotion is to Lord Destuvius himself.
His Grace asked me to think upon my next incarnation, and my thoughts
always seem to be pulled to where my devotion and talent lie. I speak to
bring those to the Empire. A civilized man will entreat and entice to
bring those to enlightened thought. But I am my Lords anger and those
that cannot be turned will find me there, Breaking their spirits or
showing them the Vengeance of my Lord. I bow to his will. Whatever
incarnation he chooses. All Praise to Lord Destuvius.
The good of the Empire.
Added Fri Jan 3 17:30:44 2014 at level 51:
My ascention to the Throne was the quickest I have seen in the readings
on the matter and on my studies of these other civilizations. Though I
left the Divine Sect in a poor state, I cannot accept it as a failure
since my time there was so short. After doubling the servants in the
Palace and having them clean the residual sand and death from our
previous Emperor, I began much as I began every other task, with the
prayer and Blessing of Lord Destuvius and the need to bring Civilization
to all of this world. I was granted his Graces mark which has given me
the greatest of pride and a drive to not fail in his will.
Though it has been a short time that I have set upon this Throne and have
been gone for times in negotiations with the other cities who still
refuse our protection, I still am certain I have brought more than any
into our cause with the bloodoath. My Council is full, though I find
some of them mere place holders until real members make themselves known.
But a full council is needed for the good of the Empire, and that is what
my purpose is and shall always be, the will of his Grace Lord Destuvius
and the good of the Empire.
The Test
Added Tue Apr 8 17:52:18 2014 at level 51:
The Lords of Empire saw fit to test my reign by sending a coup against my
crown. Nizrili and Althamael were punished for failing to take the
Emperorship from me, but since it was a test of the Gods and not their
own initiative I allow them their lives in service of the Glorious Empire
instead of Ananthema. We will see if they have the moral conviction and
desire to truly serve civilization.
Though the test has shown me that perhaps I spend to much time trying to
bring Darkness and Order to farther reaches of Thera and not enough in
the arenas closer at hand. This is where my focus will now rest. The
search for a minter that can emboss these gold coins goes slow, though i
may have a lead through the High Herald. That will start my Lords mint
and perhaps bring a bank to the Razed brewhouse I so desire.
The Stone I paid to find has finally been delivered. Finding such proved
near impossible since no veins of marble next to onyx were ever
discovered. but they came through. And now I call upon only the
greatest of Imperial sculptors to start upon this Statue to Lord
Destuvius. It will be a glorious achievement.

Added Wed Apr 9 18:03:44 2014 at level 51:
I have failed my Lord. My leadership of the glorious Empire has softened
and blinded me to my duty to the the Design. And I have payed for my
failure. But this is just a test of faith. A renewal of what I once
new. I understand my failure, and will rebuild myself from this. I will
once again be His Graces Anger and Vengeance. I will prove his Dominion
over all and in doing so show mine.
Re-emergance
Added Wed Apr 23 16:47:11 2014 at level 51:
I have regained my Lords blessings and quieted Thera of talk of my
meekness. I am renewed in his Grace and once again show those the will of
Civilization. My council will soon become complete once any Black steps
forth and shows the slightest bit of competence. I am ever watchful of
the others Upon my council. Niji whispers and plots and there is no doubt
he seeks my Throne. His words are smart and well thought out though he
does not know it I know which are lies. He is an excellent shadow but he
teeters upon the edge of hurting this Empire with his plots. He will be
dealt with if his usefulness wanes. Maligor seeks the Emperorship as he
should. Forthright and honest he is the most civilized of the group. He
would not make a move on his own. And Ooglarr. My warmaster. He holds
loyalty to me if for no other reason than I am his oathing patron. He has
little mind for politics which he has stated many times, though that is
not completely true. Little subtlety in his work but he does try to make
moves though he would not seek the Throne on his own either. And he is a
boon to the Blade sect there is no doubt. But I fear none for it is
obvious I am the only one that can lead this Empire to its full potential
as I have shown. Not long ago all my items with exception of my Scales
were in the Palace. When can that be said in recent history? Not my
immediate predecessors to be sure. Maybe not since those foolish
Barbarians and their seven day war. I am the will of the Gods and this
Empire.
And soon the statue to my Lord will be complete. It is closed to finished
and even now as a studies of art and culture I can say there has never
been a finer piece sculpted. Not even in The Biddys cavern. It is a
perfect piece to Lord Destuvius and his Empire.
