Description
This young elven adventurer looks quite dashing. His clothes are simply and
functional, but still clean and look good on him. He is fair in appearance,
with clear porcelain skin, platinum-blonde hair, and sparkling crystal-blue
eyes. A slim blade is belted at one of his sides, and you can see the hilt
of a dagger protruding from one of his boots. At a quick glance, he might
appear to be a minor noble or a merchant of some small success.
Role
Summary
Added Sun Apr 1 12:55:24 2007 at level 1:
Queliryon Ar'dan Indananathas is the third son of a minor noble house of
Darsylon. With little familial responsibility to occupy his time or tie him
down, he left Darsylon to seek adventure in the wider world.
In many ways, he is the archetypal elven swashbuckler. He feels that the
innocent among the younger races need his protection and assistance, but he is
too well-mannered and polite to overtly point this out or be condescending
about it. His soul is pure and inclined to gentleness towards all benevolent
creatures; it equally rejects the tainted and the wicked in people, seeking
only their swift end. He is a bit of a dandy, exuding warmth and charm.
A wild streak keeps him from being the perfect elven gentleman; he's well-
meaning but unreliable, at least as much rogue as knight. He loves the thrill
of combat, but fights to kill only for noble reasons.
Update
Added Tue May 8 21:46:50 2007 at level 40:
Queliryon began to actively seek battle with the wicked and the tainted,
feeling that something need be done to stem the endless tide of murderous orcs,
duergar, fire giants, and so on. He believes that people of virtue must act
to prevent evil's triumph over all, and he means to make the strongest
statement he can of that belief by giving his own life and focus to it. He
hopes to inspire other elves as well as those of the younger races by his
example. He sought these battles, often against two or more opponents, alone
in hopes of demonstrating his courage to the goddess known as the Spirit of
the Jaguar.
In seeking this personal war with the darkness, he came to find his aims and
beliefs in line with the Fortress of the Light, and was accepted for training
as a Squire. After proving himself in many battles, Queliryon was recognized
as a Maran.
Queliryon continues to seek out tainted souls for contest and cleansing
whenever he may. When he may not, he continually trains, seeking to eliminate
all flaws from his execution of any and all combat techniques the guilds will
teach him. He feels that this continual striving for transcendance as a more
perfect warrior is as sincere and pure a prayer he may offer to Baerinika in
times of relative peace.
Long and Short
Added Thu May 10 23:25:32 2007 at level 40:
Queliryon studies swords and daggers, or as he calls them, long and short
blades because these have been the favored weapons of elves of his family
for many generations. Many question the wisdom of this pairing, but
Queliryon does not. Although he has diverged from the way of his family
in many ways, in others he is still very bound by their traditions.
