Description

Large and hulking, this blue skinned mass of muscle overshadows smaller beings in his path. Long purple and green dreadlocks are braided down his rippling, broad back. Oversized ham hands and feet extrude from enormously thick limbs. Pale green eyes project a piercing and suspicious gaze. He holds himself stiffly, as if attempting to shrug off enormous physical pain. His hair and eyes have faded streaks, as if they were old clothes that had lost their color after being wrung in the river several hundred times.

Origins and Decisions

The ships of the Empire went more places than only the main continent of Thera
in the time when Aberynyte was commander of the Villagers. Ragyth's homeland
has been completely devastated by liches and conjurers. The frailer races have 
died and the ecology of the land is in its death throes from the ravages of 
undead, demons, and their masters.  Ragyth's tribe of the Bakaroth were slaughtered
while he managed to survive because he shirked his duties as a child.
Rescued briefly by his clan, Ragyth was told by his clan chief he was useless
for the final battles these pious giants will undertake before B'goth is completely
overrun.  Ragyth has spent a considerable amount of time journeying to main continent
in order to learn the skills necessary to return to his homeland as a fighter of worth.

Ragyth's primary motivation is to learn the honorable ways of defeating the dark magi,
so that he may return to his homeland of B'goth in time to either help his clan
slowly push back the magi destroyers, or else die in a glorious final stand.

The advancement of years.

Bitterness and a bit of doubt occassionally creeps into Ragyth's voice and
thoughts when he regard his quest. He came from his homeland, an enormous sea
journey spanning nearly a century, in order to find the famed Battleragers and
learn the skills he needs to fight beside his clan without losing integrity.
Instead of learning, despite his best efforts, he has begun to feel that he only
wallows in his ignorance.
Middleaged, his rage is as fresh as ever, but he begins to doubt he will master
the art of the sword and the art of slaying dark magi before his legs weaken so much
he will be unable to walk on land. The spectre of failure has induced him to find
ways to try harder, if there is such a thing. Already, friends of his past
have died the final honorable death, yet he remains a middling applicant.

Ragyth also has decided to support, for now, the Battleragers because they seem
embrace purity of purpose. However, the number of tainted souls among the huts,
not sparing the Commander, makes him uncomfortable. Sooner or later he will be
forced to choose, and no choice will leave him entirely happy.

Many generous friends Ragyth has found, but it is like salt water to the thirsty.
Ragyth does not wish a rich or full life. He does not seek the great or small loves,
for those are lost to him with the slaughter of the Bakaroth. He seeks only to
develop his Strength of purpose and skill in battle, so that he may fight the
dark magi of his homeland alongside his remaining clan. He is determined to find
honor in his battles, but whether his last battle will be victory or defeat, he does not know.

I return to my homeland, my brothers.

I came across the ocean in a long journey to learn how to battle
the dark magi of my homeland from the finest warriors in Thera.

I came, and found a place under the wisdom of Arratok, and have prospered under
Brizlin and Crraya. I have found a new tribe of blood brothers.

Now, before old age steals my strength, I must depart to avenge the honor
of the Bakaroth.  There will be no need to send word. I will return victorious or
not at all.

Honor to your victories, I salute you.
