Description
The bluish figure you see before you would loom over most men with imposing
height. He is adorned in a suit of knightly battle armor etched with the
signs of his faith. From between the slots in his visor stare back two
greenish orbs, swirling with ecstasy. His massive limbs clutch his weapon, an
object most men could not hope to wield through their physical strength
alone. As if part of the earth itself, he stands with a sure footing that
defines his durable posture, as if to represent a tangible tenant of his
faith.

Aquastrin's Beginnings

"And there, in the trials of righteous water, the evil ways of the wicked are
scrubbed clean", the old giant said, and with a wave of his hand dismissed
the religious class.
Rawanj Talbbol wandered off in a daze, his mind whirling with the thoughts of
todays class. Today they had learned about the Cleansing Shoals, where the
Wicked were sent to be cleansed when they were slain.
Rawanj was being taught the tenets of these strange monks, water-worshipping
monks, the Monks of Aquastrin, and he liked what they taught. He was quickly
becoming an avid study in the classes and was excelling in his teachings.
The Monks of Aquastrin spoke of the fabled Knights of Aquastrin, few and far
between storm giants. Rawanj was a young squire and longed to become one of
these Knights, but one had to be given permission the voice of Lord Aquastrin
himself before he could enter Paladin-hood in the name of Aquastrin, lest the
young upstart be cast into the Cleansing Shoals.
The Knights were nothing but Paladins really, the tenets they followed were
that of the Code of Paladins, though they were all storm giants and revelled
in the strength of water, and only prayed from a watery source. The Monks
taught of how the Faithful of Aquastrin recognized and worshipped the Diety
Aquastrin, and Water, for its cleansing abilities, its neverending toil in
its chosen path, and its rugged strength.
As Rawanj thought more and more, he decided to set off from Loch Terriadan
and seek out Aquastrin's Blessing so he may become a Knight in his name.
Rawanj's interpretation of the Code
Added Mon Aug 6 16:13:06 2007 at level 38:
Rawanj's Interpretation of the Paladin Code as follows, seeing as how he has
developped controversy with Niheriva over the Code:
1. Live to be the guiding light for all to follow and look towards. Your
beliefs must be as solid as your loyalty is to your god.
Rawanj follows this the way most paladins do, to the letter
2. Do not be greedy
extras will be donated to the less fortunate or sacrificed.
This one as well, Rawanj follows to the letter as most paladins do.
3. Think and control your actions before bloodshed. Patience and diligence
will guide your actions.
Rawanj attempts to follow this one, however, he is often quick to battle and
has to work to achieve such.
4. Never abandon your friends, allies or your beliefs. Fight with courage,
and if you must you will die. Never betray your comrades or cower in fear.
Rawanj is fierce about this one, Loyal are the Monks of Aquastrin
5. Fight and exact justice for all worthy causes.
Likewise, Rawanj is fierce in his belief of this one.
6. Provide hope for all
able heal and tend to the injured.
Rawanj follows this one as well, in an attempt to spread Aquastrin's teaching
as well as to heal the less fortunate
7. Be fair of speech and actions.
Clear and Rawanj follow such
8. Never lie
Clear and easily followed by Rawanj Talbbol
9. Respect the laws of the land and those who seek to enforce them.
Here is the matter of controversy. The Laws of the Land, are the Laws of the
Ocean. The waves of that Rawanj is guided upon do not stop their breaking for
any walls. The Enforcers are the Knights of Aquasrin, and thus Rawanj does
not let the Blood Tribunal harbor the wicked, where they can easily spead
their taint and lies as easily as they corrupt the pure waters.
10. Do not become like those you fight. Respect, Integrity, Valor.
Rawanj is rather good about following this as well.
11. Do not associate with the taint of evil, in any way.
Followed, the evil would infiltrate Rawanj's soul were he to open his arms
and associate with them.
12. Respect the guild, and the other Paladins that belong to it.
Of course.
